I have only recently found your channel and have been binge-watching all of your videos. Last night I had a dream that I was playing The Sims 4 and you were narrating it. The only line I can specifically remember is this: "To accomplish this goal I didn't want to have to swallow my pride... which meant I had to swallow my pride."

In that "Treasure Hoard" there was an "MP5SD2" , which for those who don't know the "SD" means "Schalldämpfer", which is the German word for "sound suppressor." Thats the gun you want if you want to be quiet!
I don't know if I want to live in a reality where an actually quiet sound suppressed gun exists.
@@picardsolo2471 Theres a bunch of actually quiet suppressed guns, they're just always in tiny caliber or end up being bolt action, and normally are only really quiet for a few shots
@@wulfematrax1702 to be as quiet as possible with a suppressor you would also need to use subsonic ammo which doesn't have the supersonic crack that regular ammunition does.
@@FloridianCaesar MP5SD actually reduces velocity of regular 9mm projectile to subsonic values (short perforated barrel dumps gasses from behind the bullet into large decompression chamber of the suppresor). Real life performance of that pistol caliber carbine makes it a great stealth zombie dispatch weapon.

In real life there’s a Shippingport Island in the Ohio River off the coast of Hardin County (which is what PZ’s Knox County is based on)

Yea the game is only fun for me with friends, and even then it gets stale quick. Don't worry though! Give the devs about 10-15 more years and we'll have the next major content update!

It never ceases to intrigue me how AA is able to philosophize so deeply about a seemingly typical gaming session.
The way it transitions from philosophical life advice to zombie smashing is so smooth and vice versa, its so smooth and unexpected. Absolutely love it
pretty awesome scenario. it's more motivating for me as an absolute beginner to escape a zombie filled island than "let's see how long you can survive". I think it's a great way in learning the basics though.

I absolutely love the ending of this video, the foggy boatride, the jazz, and then the appearance of a promising looking forest, bathed in the colors of Autumn and foggy mystery. Then, the main character walks off, soon swallowed by the forest to a fate unknown. It is befitting of a book or movie, and with your narration it adds such a satisfying aspect to this ambiguous conclusion.
I've never played this game but revisit this video often as a way of getting through my week. Thank you, Ambiguous Amphibian. I hope you realise the true philosophical teachings and positivity that you've allowed through this video - it's certainly made a legitimate difference in my life, and I am grateful for it (your "Can I Survive in a SINGLE HOUSE..." video is another example). I literally subscribed to you because of this video - thank you again.

As sad as it is to see the departure of Mr. Amphibian’s series’s, the segments have been a warm hug, that of which my mother could never provide.
Pain with purpose is a very good thing, you can grow from it. But pointless pain does exist, and should be avoided at all costs. Much of my life has been lost to pointless agony, pain I could not grow much from, pain that far out stripped any growth it initiated.
Not all pain is something to be avoided, it must be experienced to lead a rich life and be a good person. But not all pain leads to growth, and can even regress people into near animal states.
A meaningful, real life worthy message at the end of a let's play is something only this channel delivers, and it's a reason I keep coming back to it.
I wish these videos were longer. I love you’re narration, and everything about your style.

I really liked that it had an ending. I would love to see new survivors make it off the island.
Sort of a “Fuck you” to the Epicurean philosophy. Much more robust than could Thoreau have made it. The idea of seeking to find stress and confront it head on to take away an evermore stoic nature is interesting. Almost like a “rush to actualizing.”
Bear and bull… It all makes sense now, the mad ramblings of philosophy all make sense now.

Ever since I was in Elementary School and watched my brother play it, it seemed so nice to be able to play out a zombie apocalypse through a slow moving and immersive RPG. I've been watching your channel for a while now. The excerpts and odes you put in them seamlessly join together as a poet or fine writer would place in the earlier centuries of our time. However, this particular video resonated with me in ways I cannot describe; specifically with the resilience aspect- as an engineering student stress and anxiety plague me BUT seeing as how you've related our fears and challenges be placed as a sub-reality within gaming, I feel as though I can take them on with good decompression techniques. hey ambiguous, got an idea for you when you inevitably reach 2 million subs in the future. try playing with start up channels to put them in the limelight and give em a chance to shine on CZcams. being popular on CZcams is hard, but it would make it a hell of a lot easier for people if the bigger channels actually gave them recognition they deserve. there are so many channels that deserve more subs than even pewdiepie has, yet no one can ever find em.
