Pattaya is so much cheaper & has its own charm. I know many of the floating barge restaurants are tourist traps, but Ocean Sky bar & restaurant at Bali Hai Pier is newer & nicer & reportedly fun for a one off. If 3 or 4 of you going, ck for special deals---in the past as low as 1000 baht for 4 vs 400 baht ea.
