And some of us, like myself, really value core class as a way to diorama build with the Titan class base modes. Sure, the scale is a little squishy, but very fun all the same. Get the main characters in core, and use all those siege/earthrise micromasters as the grunts to fill out the display.

You should see the Authentics figures. There’s 3 different sizes of many of the characters. 12in, 7in, 4in… you can have a big, medium, small version of Megatron, Grimlock, Optimus, and Bumblebee. Starscream comes in 2 sizes Wheeljack, Arcee, Ratchet, Soundwave, and Shockwave are also available, but only in one size. The Authentics line is fantastic.
Forget the Ironhide Repaint, give me a Genericon like Crosshairs so we can army build with it!
I've already got two Iguanus and wouldn't mind getting a couple more!

Smaller versions of traditionally larger characters are something i really like. This Ratchet is a must buy. Good to see another core class Autobot too. Cant wait to see the Legacy Core wave 3 lineup.
If they can put this much engineering into a core class figure, then they could do the Constructicons at this scale.
A core class combiner is something I've been thinking about lately.
I would love constructicons in this scale class!
Major facts!!!
I like this size to use with the Titan Class stuff - to make them look even Larger.
Also for people who play with their toys these are easy to slip into a pocket and carry around with you.
It is nice to see that he's not so much of a chore to Transform as Hotrod is.
The play factor is a big deal. I love my SS86 Dinobots, but those are strictly display figures: transform them once in a while, pose them, put them back. What I love about core class figures is that I can easily fiddle with them while watching or working on something, I don't have to worry about wearing out or breaking an expensive figure(especially as they tend to utilize ball joints, which are easily tightened), and they can fit on my desk more easily. Similar thing with why I enjoy my G1 reissues, those things are built like tanks and can roll around on my desk so much better.
He’s wayyyy better than hot rod & like you said these are really fun just to have carrying around!
This actually looks like a fun toy. A nice desk toy that you could take everywhere and fidget with. The transformation is simple but gratifying, and I can't wait for it to come to stores!

Here is what I have determined based on Hasbro’s recent releases. It seems like they released G1 characters in WFC and Legacy just for fun, and are pretty accurate to their cartoon counterparts. But now it feels like they are using the Studio Series line to give us the most accurate versions of these characters as possible, with Masterpiece style transformations.
I agree! Some of the newer SS stuff has been on fire!
Now, I didn’t agree with this channel’s view that core class Screamer was an improvement on the voyager version.
…But THIS, this is DEFINITELY BETTER than the previous larger version of the figure!
Eh, I like my SIEGE version, but that's a Cybertronian version that they didn't stick with a shield so the feet rear doors aren't as off-putting.
Absolutely! Engineering puts the deluxe to shame loool!
@@PrimeVsPrime It does NOT, because it's a shrunken down version of the SIEGE deluxes; An excellent mold only somewhat hindered by it's large, ankle tilting feet.

Like I said before, the core class figures are great to buy. I think they should do more Studio Series 86 Core Class figures.
I got this dude the other day and I love him - my only real qualm is that the front looks a bit TOO plain - I'd have liked a little paint for the windscreen wipers and maybe the lights, just to give him a bit more depth. But otherwise, can't complain! (Although it's a shame they couldn't figure out a way to have the Autobot ambulance logos on display in vehicle mode too!)
I love this core class, she’s so satisfying in hand with minimal kibble and an amazingly fun transformation! I honestly like these guys most because they’re just quick fun for me and can easily make a collection without taking up too much space or breaking the bank!! Super great line of figures I’d love to see them make a really extensive line of these
I will ABSOLUTELY be picking this guy (and his Ironhide repaint/retool)! I love the Core Class figures. I've got all of them so far, and I've bought upgrade kits for all of them too.
I wonder if they will do Hoist/Trailbreaker and Inferno/Grapple as well - that would be neat.
I think the cone heads seem likely to at some point.
I hope they do some more Pretenders to -as the fun thing about them is you can look at them two ways as - a small "human sized" robotic beast or at least smaller than most Transformers to display with normal toys somewhat like the Japanese TV show did with it's human pretenders - or as a larger Soundwave size monster represented in a small size to be in scale with Starscream/Megatron etc.. like in the comics. So I would have rather of had the other this size as to me Skullgrin - nice as he is - is a bit confusing.
@@90lancaster Hoist and Trailbreaker would be easy. I think that the cone heads might me easy retools too. Grapple and Inferno might be considered more challenging for Core Class because if the crane/ladder. We’ll see though. I’ll get all of the G1 Core Class figures that they release…

Hey dude it's me again still keep up with the great work you're awesome but also there's an idea instead of only reviewing new Transformers maybe you can try to get your hands on older Transformers and maybe two examples Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Optimus Prime and Jetfire but to be more specific the particular versions of those characters where they can actually combine just a thought like I said keep up the good work

@@PrimeVsPrime okay so I know you did those videos and those are cool but I have a version of Optimus Prime who can transform and same for my jet fire I I watched your video and it was more like an action figure and more accurate than mine I wish I could show you a picture of them but the video of the jet fire you did wasn't the same
Oh and one more thing that I forgot check out optabotomist's videos about Revenge of the Fallen Jetfire and Optimus those are the figures I mean now I know he's done those videos and I know how to transform them but you are honestly much better to watch to figure out this stuff please
I’m having a great time creating a battle scene with my core class guys and the Ark in ship mode. They scale a bit big but I think it still works really well. I hope they keep creating them for G1 figs.
I just wish they kept selling Core Class figures in Ireland. Even if I can afford the larger figures, I've come to love these little fellas. THere's something about the smaller size that makes them more enticing to play with.
I never had Legends-type figures before the Core Class first came out, and for some reason we stopped getting them in Ireland after Starscream and Megatron, which is such a shame.

The death scene "complete with bullet holes" got me. 😂
So glad Hasbro is doing this. 3rd party companies ruled this size for so long, and now we have a figure that is almost on par with 3rd party legends.
I give this toy a 7/10. My biggest problems all are with the ambulance mode. I hate that hinge that sticks out, and I wish there were more ambulance details

I like this figures because I like to collect and I dont have the money to buy the normal deluxes, voyager and further, so I collect legends scale, not 3rd party, just official, and I needed a good Ratchet, plus the distribution on Southamerica is very bad, there are full ER and Kingdom waves missing, but this ones always arrive, so its a Win-win to me

I’ve noticed a big divide in Decepticon and Autobots core class. We have G1 Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave, Starscream, Skywarp… all the main characters. G1 Autobots are just Prime, Hot Rod, and Ratchet. Hot Rod and Ratchet are arguable as too how “main characters” they are, and the Hot Rod is such a bad toy most people wouldn’t want him. Core Class is definitely ruled by the Decepticons.
I don't know, I've messed with the Hot Rod and I think it's really cute and fun. But I definitely agree on the shortage of bots! Hopefully next year along with the listings of Legacy Dinobots we also get some 86' Core versions of Arcee, Jazz, or maybe Kup. I could definitely see them using 86 to fill out some of the movie characters in that scale.

@@balloonman8796 well, Studio Series has already filled out Hot Rod, Kup, Arcee, Blurr, and Perceptor. Springer, Blaster, and Ultra Magnus are all WFC or Legacy repacks for some reason. I’d love to see a studio series Springer, and I wouldn’t even care if all they did was take off the battle damage, though some retooling wouldn’t be terrible.

I might get this,but the only core class figure that I must have is the new rumble finally with his piledrivers.He was an important g1 character from the very beginning with more lines/things to say than any deception besides Megatron and Starscream and their will probably never be a deluxe version.

It would be nice to get core class version Ironhide and Rumble. As well as core class versions of the shattered glass transformers. However, I'm not gonna hold my breath.
Now wait a few months and put some Mello-Yello decals on the sides. It will change the appropriate color.

Time to get some combiners onboard the core class series.
So let me get this straight, they can make a figure this nice at the core class price point, but when they make a deluxe sized figure at the voyager price point and someone complains, it's "oh no they can't make a complex figure without charging extra for it, price class is about complexity not size" and all kinds of other mental gymnastics to justify the behavior of an increasingly greedy company.
Pair him up with Voyager 86 Ironhide and you got one of the most infamous definition of size changing

its a not for me. honestly i cant buy anymore from hasbro due to my anxiety if i am or not getting a toy that will not have yellowing issues .

This figure is dope but a pass for me. Im hoping they take this figure and just make it a deluxe class studio 86 and I will grab that instead. Kinda being picky on the core class pickups. Did pickup Wheelie and exo suit Spike tho.

He does look better than the DX versions in most respects, even the new S86 Ironhide, but I've already got an MP Ratchet, so meh. Definitely nice for collectors with more limited display limited space and/or budgets, though - or for parents who are feeling the economic pinch!
All he needs now is some nice metallic blue widow decals from Toyhax

Shame 😂, this Ratchet in Core class is much better than bigger counterpart, the Siege and Earthrise 🙂. This figure is worth of money, for my opinion 🤑. Hopefully they use Studio series 86 Ironhide mold to create 86 Ratchet 😊.
sadly Hasbro can't use the Red Cross because it is a copyrighted logo, only 3rd party companies do them due to a legal loophole.

Like imagine it you have a titan class like the ark and none of your regular sized figures scales well with it so you buy the smaller versions

It’s cool how the core class is more complex than g1 transformers we’re back then. I had g1 devastator and ratchet is almost as complex than all them put together lol 😂. You could paint the other windows too.
