- Motorcycle Chain maintenance is a essential item in regular maintenance cycle. how to lubricate your motorcycle chain is a very common question asked every now and then. So I decided to make a video of how to lubricate your motorcycle chain.
I have used 3 main components here petrol, wd40 and Amsoil chain lubricant.
I have also discussed what can be used in cleaning and what can be used in lubricating.

Very good video I used engine se nikla hua oil for lubing and it is true after changing or cleaning chain sprockets it feels like riding new bike as it feels very smooth.

I also use Amzoil chain lube and its very effective and leaves a thin layer on chain. Usually experts recommend Kerosene oil for cleaning and discourage WD40 as it's very strong and gets inside orings and cause the chain to produce permanent noise. WD40 is only recommended if chain is very rusty and tons of thick dirt is accumulated and chain has not been cleaned for months. Kerosene cleans a chain within minutes with minimal effort
I agree with your point, i would like to add that WD40 will remove gunk along with rust and small particles so sand. Kerosene is best when you intend to bathe the chain in it then it goes to every corner. Secondly our chains are not sealed chains so no issues in using WD40

Very informative sir really like this video boss also good teaching style help a lot to learners also. Now about chain cleaning most of senior mechanics says that when We wash the chain particles of rust and dirt penetrate inside holes The friction rate increases and the chain begins to cut from the inside. But this experiment I did some time ago with wD 40.. And one thing I want to say that there is s Gear oil or it is also called CL. If it is used instead of normal mobile oil then there is no need for quick lubbing.again .
Thank you Mullazim Hussain bhai. Chain will lose its life no matter what we do. We can only keep it running by proper cleaning and lubrication. WD40 is also a cleaning agent.
Gear oil is also good as it also sticks to the chain. Chain lube does the same thing

Thanks boss I am also using Amsoil in my bike very good oil give me long interval now i ask my dealer to arrange chian cleaner for my bike👍

I did this with my and my brother's bike chain.. cleaned all the way, and then lubricated it.. huge difference between keep oiling without cleaning and after cleaning the chain.. I have GS150. Ride came smooth.. 👍👍
It makes a huge difference. Because cleaning all gunck make your chain smoother

Cleaned Drive chain with Karosine oil and Diesel mixture. Petrol and other carbon removal products can degrease rivets and cause more friction since how we lube our chain lubricant hardly reached inner side of roller bearings.
Our chains are simple chains this is why we can use petrol and carbon products to clean no issues in that
How about gear oil? Can i use it as a chain lube?

Bhai petrol ya karocine oil se saaf kr k donkey pump ma use hone wala fresh oil use krta hn .... Or chain set ho to 50% vibration khatm hojati hai.... Agr logon ko ye smjh ajaye to log tunning krwana chhor denge .... 😍😍😍

Dear Hashir, best place to maintain your bike is from where you get satisfaction from the work. If you want to try a different mechanic do try Mohammadi Autos (Nomi Mechanic) at stadium road dalmia. I am getting work done on my bikes since 2006 from there. Give him my reference if you want. Or just go to him
@@TamourTahir thanks sir.I will surely give him a try.Actually i have recently bought this bike myself and couldn't find a good mechanic.I tried offical Honda Showroom's mechanic but was just not satisfied with him.
And sir also can you tell it's better to buy the spare parts from the offical Honda showroom or from the local market like waterpump e.t.c.

Chain ki koi life guarantee nahe hoti. Main thori aggressive bike chalata ho. Shyd app bhe meri tarha he chalaty ho isliya jaldi khatam hogai. Oiling har 500 km py krwain aur chain ki thori care karain toh lambi chalay ge.

شعیب بھائی بالکل ٹھیک ہے. اچھی بات ہے جتنے طریقے ہوں اچھا ہے. عمیز آئل کے استعمال سے چین پر لگنے والے گند و غبار میں کافی کمی آئی ہے.

I have used wd 40 on 70cc and my experience id not good. I have properly cleaned it and relube it right after cleaning but after 50 km my bikes chain starts making noise and touching chain cover little bit but not too much but it is still not like before cleaning as it was perfectly fine. now honda center told me that you have ruin your chain by cleaning it with wd40 and it not tightning up as they try to tight. and told me to change a sproket set if i want to get rid of noise. So my experience is not good with wd40 maybe i did it in wrong way i don,t know but i simply used wd40 and brush. Maybe cleaning with just miti ka tail is batter then wd40 because wd40 is batter rust remover and for losing rusty bolts but not a batter cleaner.
It depends on the condition of your chain. If your chain is old and rusty definitely it will loose up to a point where you have to change. If you are using wd40 or miti ka tail both will do same job. I use both methods. Majority of the time I use wd40 as it removes major gunk from the chain. Chain should be removed after 20 to 25 thousand kilometer.
@@TamourTahir Yes offcorse wd40 cleans pretty well and chain look new after cleaning but my bike 10500 km driven.
What did you used for lubrication?

Try machine oil. When I use to put engine oil (new) into chain it always goes dry after few days. Then I started using machine oil which last much longer then engine oil. Now after I used Amsoil I am pretty much satisfied from this product
I use greese lubricant
Amsoil is also a grease lubricant

WD40... Chain me rubber ko damage karta hai. Raste me chain tut sakta hai agar ap log drive per hain..
Sir g humari chains main rubber nahe hota. O ring ya x ring wali chains in bikes main nahe ati woh bht mehngi hoti hai.
