What's especially sad is that restaurants don't have to do that in the U.S., they just choose to. There's a fantastic Italian restaurant in CO, Abrusci's Fire & Vine, I've been to a few times where all the staff is paid minimum $20 and up, no tipping. The plaza where Amy's baking company used to be is across the street from my house, I used to work in one of the neighboring businesses and I can confirm all this shit actually happened. Not entirely sure about the hacking and all that but there were crowds and police and security there a LOT.
Couple years after their episode aired and they had closed down I started working with the young lady that they had made cry when they fired her and she confirmed for me that Amy and Sammy are actually this batshit crazy.
And yes they were able to sell the business and it became a new restaurant called the Grand Stand, but due to the unique location tucked in a corner and the poor reputation in the neighborhood the Grand Stand closed within 6 months, then it was sold to another company and became another restaurant, which also could not pick up traffic because of ABC and they too had to close. As of right now it is an empty commercial restaurant space again. The entire plaza that it's in has been renovated with new businesses coming in except for that one space.

Plus it's in the middle of Scottsdale on one of the busiest streets, so the cost is still high because it's considered a preferable location along the street, just not within the plaza.

Amy, Samy and Amy's Baking Co. are prime examples of just how NOT to do business. I live in Phoenix, AZ. I went to her place on a couple of occasions (once willingly) and both times it was a nightmare experience. They have no idea how to treat people, there is no such thing as Customer Service in their minds, and the food was absolute crap. The only time it was decent was when they had to use other commercial food vendors and they passed this off as their own food. At one time, the State of Arizona had an active investigation on the business as there were so many complaints made to the Corporation Commission about them as well as the Dept of Revenue was looking into them about their taxes. There were also complaints lodged against them about paying employees correctly as they took all of the tips from the servers. Since Samy has been deported, I figure Arizona told them that they ever show their faces in AZ again, there will be a world of legal hurt come down on them.
Another fantastic success for Dr. Phil.

Yeaaaahhh. I live in South Africa, and 1 time loadshedding(where we don't have electricity for 2 hours for whatever the excuse is that time) just completely fried our system. We had to hand write every bloody thing for the rest of the day. Notes to the kitchen, bills (obviously with the correct prices) for the clients, it was a mess, but you know, somehow we got through the day without a single complaint. It's their crazy personalities though, you can't work in the industry if every small inconvenience is made out to be the end of the world.
@@natashadelarey8966 Yeah, If you explain to people what's going on and this is how you're going to remedy the situation for the time being, I can guarantee most if not all people will understand and be grateful that they're still being served.
@@lilgary9181 exactly. Like I don't want to say being a waiter is easy, because it's not, but if you just remain calm, polite, and explain the situation, 99% of problems can be solved without a hitch. It's actually very rarely that you have to deal with a Karen and can't solve a damn thing. But I guess when the owner of the restaurant is the Karen, it makes sense that nothing is going right đ
It looks like they're in a strip mall/business complex. Those are very common here.
I have worked food service for 8 years and can verify this. When I was working service at the local university (union paid) and I was on the lunch shift (our satellite dining hall location was the only one that had students order their food off of a kiosk then we brought the food over to them on a tray), and the kiosk system was down or broken, I was in charge of running physical tickets to the kitchen for the cooks/chefs to make the food for us to bring out.
Iâm surprised you made a video with this footage. So much more has come to light since this video was made.
Wasn't she selling another company's desert that she claims that she made.
yes
Honestly I think she just genuinely believes that she is in the right and that she did no wrong. Sheâs just so delusional that she sees herself as the main character to all of existence
Classic delusional narcissist lol
Narcissistic personality disorder for you my friendâŠ.
She's the Amber Heard of baking.
Ohmuhgerd lol, yes I just made that connection too.
Where did she đ©?

Does she bake muffins? đ
i just recently found ur channel and im binge watching all of your vidsđđ
When she said that they came in early to âsabotageâ stuff, in reality they probably were just setting up cameras and had to move some stuff to set them upđ
The Cinnamon Toast Kids interrupting to talk about their LEGOs was too cute đ
Amy has my mother's crazy eyes. She is off her rocker, and I hope she gets medication for whatever illness she has.
you can't cure stupid.
The fact they had a kid is scary
@@cynthiagarcia2770 they dont have kids, she has cats she called her children.. The woman is bat shit crazy
Downright demonic. So demonic.
Those steely eyes...Amy stare at you!
Good idea to bake canabis treats - when people are stoned they don't care what they eat! Anything tastes good!
Tipping was started during prohibition, prior to that, waiting staff were paid fine and it was considered an insult to tip. But during prohibition, so few people were eating out, the restaurant industry started telling the wait staff to start asking for tips because they were going to get paid less, and it just never stopped. That's why tipping is rare to see anywhere outside the US and Canada (Canada because what happens in the US tends to flow over).
honestly, US is insane for tipping, i dont hate tipping sometimes, but when i visit it stands out how often you need to tip people and it seems like we the tippers are being given an extra unwelcome job of making sure the employees get paid and judging how worthy they are of what kind of payment. this shoiuldnt be put on us as customers. employers should pay their employees
And then people hit you with the âif you canât afford to tip you canât afford to eat outâ and itâs like?? Thatâs such a stupid argument
@@spiffy74 itâs not legal in California.
@@spiffy74 in California theyâre making 15 on top of tips.
@@spiffy74 Maybe restaurants should show appreciation to their employees by paying them more... Tipping culture is wrong, it's not about appreciation for good service or any of that crap. It's to replace the need for the restaurant manager to take money from his own pocket into his employees. $2.13 is not enough to live in the U.S since the minimal wage nation wide is $7.25 an hr. Actually I find it hard to believe they're even paid that little. Which depending on the state can go much higher. Tipping should be extra, not obligated it's literally not appreciation when it's most of a employee's income. It's pity money.
I should be clear, employees with good service should be tipped if you can afford it. But that should NOT be most of their income, that income should come from the business and not from pity money.
I'm from Scotland and this idea is crazy to me, tipping here is not expected, it's just something you choose to do if you're pleased with the service. Its shocking to me that people in the US rely on tips to make a decent wage, there should totally be a 'minimum wage' introduced in places like that, you work to earn a living wage, and not have to depend on what is basically charity. Its actually disgusting.
If you watch other Ramsey shows, he openly brings in customers that had a bad experience. I don't know if that was the practice in Kitchen Nightmares. Even so, this is still the only restaurant to have been "targeted."
people who are not narccisists like Amy understand the concept of redemption and don't just block everyone who disagrees with them about anything.
He brings those people in because they can provide the best testimony on changes in the restaurant
Actually, like in any episodes, he was about to transform and modernise the restaurant before the owners would arrive, but the doors were locked. He then spoke with some ex-employees about what made them quit.
He does do it for kitchen nightmares as well but he doesnât usually take them into the restaurant to eat. He brings them to the owners and asks the customers to tell the owners what made it a bad experience.
On the "Hotel from Hell" show he regularly brought in previous or current customers to give feedback.
Some of the better resturaunts survived, mostly those that were revisited, but most closed. The only ones I know that are still open are la galleria 33 and Olde hitching post

She needs to partake. I've never seen someone with less chill. She makes Gordon Ramsay seem chill ffs.
When a drug addict meets her mafia boss sugar daddy.
But wait, when Ramsey confronted Sammy about taking the tips he said: Yes, I take them...of course. He went on to say he was doing everything and deserved them and not the waitresses. It is on video and anyone can watch this episode and see this to make sure I have it right.
I know this isn't the topic of this video, but I like Amy's new hair, it suits her well.
Toned down her eye makeup too to look less âcrazy eyesâ. đ”âđ«
Sami is definitely punching đ€Ł
Lady does have nice hair, either way.
Me too! It looks lovely :)
So I'm also assuming that they are calling all of their previous employees liars? They spoke up after the episode air. Even Miranda, the server who served Gordon, said that she was fired because she was stealing her own tips. Whether they are paid hourly or not, the servers should still get their tips.
Precious little nugget pays a visit. Give them all a hug for us.
From Amy's Baking Company to Amy Baking Canabis
I can't believe Amy's gonna say Ken and Buff were paid off by Kitchen Nightmares
To me it felt like Amy was trying to set up all this pain amd suffering blame game to sue kitchen nightmares...so when Sammy said it was fun/a joke... she's like wtf you're jacking up our case.
Yikes all the way around.
I do hope they can find peace, joy and accountability.
Man, it backfired so hard because in the end the lawyer fees they got from being deported probably indebted them forever lol
Amy has 0 case if KNU had even a green fresh out of law school attorney working for them. KNU in a later season newly aired other unreleased footage. Included was the original tape Amy herself submitted in which she claimed the main problem causing her business to fail was Sammy. Yet later when the show filmed live she tried to pretend as his defender. All a remotely competent attorney has to do is air that tape. She also in unaired clips stated for a fact that the tips were not stolen because they paid $8 an hour. Again even a green attorney would just air the clip of her saying first $8 and then later $14 to bring into doubt anything at all that she says as truthful. Those two things were not even the only issues that the second episode brought to light. Go check out the "Return to Amy's Bakery" episode on youtube to see just how badly the second episode content release wrecked her case.
Love the video. Yes.. Definitely driving the crazy train!! What I wanted to comment on was the two of you.. Definite chemistry with you guys... Look forward to viewing more of your shows.. Thanx for keeping us entertained here in northern cali..(Humboldt county!!) Tj...
Nuts, that is all I can say. I saw the Kitchen Nightmare episode several years ago. I cannot even fathom how they ever decided that treating customers like they did was ok. Just Nuts!!
Can't wait for Amy to comment on this one too đ„°
Yeah man! It's like a cryptid sighting and you're an enthusiast.
Finding her on the last video was like finding a bipolar waldo.
Imagine being the type of human being that is âinspiredâ by this woman or anything she has done..

Not only that, she claims sheâs inspired so many (which might be true) but proceeded to show us one personđ
Only other Karens would be inspired by someone like Amy đ
To be fair, she could inspire someone to be a better person so they never end up like her
And I'm sure Amy created that account and wrote that great review
I mean if you're inspired to not be batshit crazy and to do the exact opposite of Amy and Sammy then you've already done a good job.
I can believe some troll would hack the FB account or make fake profiles to comment on various sites. That's what trolls do. Thinking the production company did it!?! Girl, you crazy.
Thanks for keeping the kid interruption in, we DO care about the Legos!
I never thought Iâd see another episode of these guys again đ€Ł
I'm not surprised that they both found a spouse despite being crazy, but I am a bit surprised that they have kept their marriage together this long.
They're perfect for each other. Miserable people.
Personally I am surprised that Sammy didn't ditch her after the Kitchen Nightmares people aired a second "Return to Amy's Bakery" episode in which they aired the original request for filming from Amy. In the tape she submitted, she claimed the main cause for her business' failure was Sammy. I kid you not, go watch it on youtube.
Sammy just looks defeated though.
I just discovered your channel and you guys are hilarious! The ABC episode was insane and they deserved to go out of business.
I enjoyed your show , you guys are funny ! I'm going to keep watching !
