It's so funny how the other queens were coming for her because of her outfits and that whole time Tia was just being herself and winning over fans left and right! Not all queens have big bucks to buy these expensive wardrobes and when you have personality people are not as concerned about your looks. I remember seeing an interview with Jeff Lynne (ELO) and he said that most people from the UK do sing with a US accent. The only two people I can think of who sing with a British accent are Lily Allen and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

Supposedly this is to do with the pronunciation of words when singing. Singing with an American accent makes it easier to enunciate so it’s just something Brits automatically do!
