Jack Dee is a wonderful misanthrope. His disgust with the stupidities of the modern world is very eloquent.

As an Aussie, I want to apologise to the world for Clive Palmer. He's Australia's answer to Donny Chump but even less successful and an embarrassment to decent Aussies. Thankfully, his Titanic 2 is about as dead in the water as the original. He once listed litigation as one of his hobbies. Many of his business ventures have failed spectacularly. He turned one of Queensland's most prestigious resorts into a dinosaur-themed park (complete with animatronic dinosaurs) which he had to mothball due to low occupancy rates. Not surprising, really - people who can afford to stay at a posh resort aren't usually the types who want to see things like that. (They were all scattered around the golf course, too, which led the Australian PGA Championship to be relocated somewhere else!) He's disliked by at least half of Australia (the left side of politics, mostly) and even tried suing the state of WA over Covid-19 travel restrictions. He thought hydroxychloroquine could be part of a cure for Covid-19. Sound familiar, yet?! His forays into politics have been just as unsuccessful as everything else he does which is probably one of the few areas where Chump is more successful than him. Sorry about the wall of text but I had to get that off my chest!

I watched the film Titanic once and found it to be a huge disappointment as I already knew the ending and I thought "So what".
I wonder how many conspiracy theorists watching this latched onto the Titanic sinking, not because of the iceberg but because of plate overload.

Yep, at last someone else saying it like it is. It sank. A lot of people drowned. Time moves on. Get over it folks and stop making boring documentaries about it and find some other subject matter for Christ's sake.

I really hate the obsession people have with the titanic, it's a dumb boat that sank because the captain was overconfident, there is nothing else to learn
