You guys need to put security cameras up inside. That ways we don't miss something amazing. Like a fireball
Yes 4 cameras one in each corner. We would never miss a moment!
Yes, 4 high definition cams so later zoom can be used….
Hikvisions poe 8mp get sound and everything but it's sure they have them under the mezzanine

Paul " I literally think If I cut 2 wires, I can pull the whole thing off"
I can't stop laughing 😂 🤣 😆
If you gotta cut more than 2 wires to drop your exhaust, it was overbuilt. Especially when most boys his age are into "deletes" lol.
I’m truly jealous of this, I love those cars! My first car was a ‘76 4door. That’s definitely not a ‘74 though, it’s a ‘75-‘79 body style.
I had a ‘74, definitely not the same body style. Also had a’70. Still wish I had one. Still a nice ride Hunter!! 👍
I agree this isn't a '74 however, that may be what the title had to say to get this car on the road. I would still love to have one like it.
You caught that too yes it's a 75 to 79 4th generation X body
I love how Grandma Lolly randomly pops in the shop to make sure her boys are sorta behaving 😂 You truly have a great family!
Being an old guy (72), I really enjoy seeing Grandma in more of these videos. Based upon what your dad did Fabin' stuff, I'd like to see a Grandma vs Michelle 'Name That Part'.
Dude, you are straight up creepin on Paul's Mom......Not Cool!
Grandma Would win! No contest!
@@markg.2501 Just stoppit mark, old guys feel love too.
@@markg.2501 moms deserve to have some fun now and then.
While on vacation we stopped by Archie's in May for dinner and saw Grandma Lolly. She told us to go see Paul. She said the Golden Nugget was due from Robbie and that we must go see the shop even though it was a Sunday night. We were on a time crunch and didn't want to intrude. Regret it to this day. Anyway Lolly was a peach and the FabRats Burger was really good.
Love these videos showing you recycling some old parts and helping a young man out!! Love the content.
Agree. And that smile on Hunter's face was genuine!
That was just amazing God bless you guys
Hunter will remember what you did for him for the rest of his life. Nice job guys!
For sure, I certainly would have
it was you, the viewers, that did it for him, It's all content.
@@logic3721 Hey you're right, I'm a pretty good guy huh...
You're welcome Hunter.
@@sixupsprite5501
Good job, I think you deserve a raise 👍🏼🤣😂👍🏼
You guys are awesome to help him out like that. Great job
Great episode today.
Hunter, cherish these days with that car. You may very well look back in 30 years and say " I had to best time in that old Nova, damn I loved that car." You may have a brand new badass sports car, but there will always be something special about the first car you fix up on a budget.
Right place, right time, right job for Hunter!
Hearts of gold. Nice job guys!
I love to watch you guys teach the young ones how to repair things
It's easy to teach my son how to repair things.. Teaching him how to not tear things up is a whole other story... He's 6 and him and a neighbor kid decided it was a good idea to bash out the windshield on two of my neighbors cars. smh.. I still can't believe it.
Best Program on CZcams. Thanks to all the members of the Fab Rat's group.
Hunter is getting hooked up!!! The PERKS of having a friend whose dad is not ONLY cool as hell but ALSO extremely talented, skilled, experienced AND oh BTW, has a shop where you can film him demonstrating said skills on a Nova, that you just so happen to own, which was practically begging for some much needed upgrades! If only we ALL could be so lucky. LoL! Can't wait to see Hunter experience what laying down 2 strips of rubber in his Nova feels like!
It's extremely generous of Paul to hook him up with all these parts and to put a little TLC into the Nova. I'm excited for Hunter!
Think about how much the video will bring in over time. Good investment plus you get the fun of reliving your youth through Hunter in this case. It also cleans up parts kicking around. There is litrally no downside to this for everyone. Also makes it more likely Hunter has a more reliable care to get to work. Nice to see Fab Rats seeing the big picture. They seem to look after those around them pretty good and are not wrapped up in the almight dollar. In my opinion thats the best compliment you can give anyone.
Love to see old parts get used for huge improvements on a car someone is driving.
Man you two go so far above and beyond for the kids, it's pretty awesome. These boys will remember these days their whole life, and will take everything they learned with them. You're really building more than a car, you're building young men. And that I can respect 👍
You guys really helped him out! You can really see Paul's love for these kids and the cars! Awesome channel!
Makes me smile seeing those kids around the shop
They've got a good life, haven't they!
I Love Ben & Paul's "Can Do" "We'll Make it Happen" Attitude!
Love your Videos Y'all!
We, your fans are waiting patiently for the next episode on Hunter's project car. I'd like to say thank you for restoring our faith in humanity. Rarely today do you see businessmen giving away their expert time including free parts. The Fab Rat's family and associated friends are truly world class people!❣
Pretty slick trade...Hunter swings the camera and everybody else rebuilds his Nova. Nice work!!
It's great to see you helping the youngster out Paul and Ben, I know when my kids friends need stuff doing I always end up giving away all my spare stuff too, I enjoy it though
That's why we got spare stuff Steve... for the kids.
I love how he revs it and you pause talking and just smile.
Drove to Zion Park today and drove right past the shop, couldn’t stop in, and thought I couldn’t anyways, we have our 44’ 5th wheel, wife’s car traveling behind me in my dually! I gave her a LONG LOUD HONK as we all travels by….it was about 1-1:30…. Love you guys!!!! We’re staying down the road in Mt. Carmel!!!!
This almost makes me cry with nostalgia. I used to work for a machine/welding shop that specialized in extremely high-tech systems engineering and vacuum welding for the semiconductor industry (mostly building wafer fab machines for the likes of AMD and Intel)... but the owner loved racing beat-em-to-hell and fill-em-with-mud sprint cars, so on weekends the place was a car fabber's dream. I had a Nova of the same era as Hunter's here, and we fixed that one up "real good". This was back in the late '80s to early '90s and I bought the thing for a song and a dance... but by the time we were done "fixing it up" over a couple weekends the thing was a gorgeous beast. These days, I wish I'd kept that old Nova - it would probably fetch a small fortune as it stood at the end of 1991...
Yours's and Ben's experience and Knowledge is amazing, as is your collection of spare parts. I think you could (and probably have) build a whole "Frankenstein" car out of the spare parts you have just sitting around waiting to be repurposed. Hunter is so lucky, to not only gain the experience but also the end result is priceless. Another great "Fab Rat" creation and video. Keep the content coming! BTW, I think you may need to get a "Fire Suit" for filling the torch. That could have been real nasty... Glad your still "Under-cooked". I don't think "Roasted Rat" would be a good thing.
That would be awesome
He couldnt store the butane gas any closer to the fire lol
I like that concept - "Franken-crawler"
@@donwilson1061 Nice! Has a cool ring to it. Built out of repurposed parts.
I'm always amazed that you get all the manifold bolts out without breaking any off!
Didn't have any trouble on the exhaust manifold either
I had 76 Chevy Nova with a 305 small block that I ran into the ground!! Loved my Nova!!!
It would have been nice to have had access to a shop like yours and some spare parts just lying around! :)
I'm sure I would still have Her if that was the case!!! This was fun for me to watch... I'm surprised there's only 189 likes so far with 1.2K views!!
Now only a few minutes later it’s 9.4k likes and 57.5k views 😂🇷🇴
When the amount of parts and labor are worth more than the car, you have a awesome boss!
Ain’t nothing like a sweet car and great sounding exhaust to boost a young man’s confidence! 👍👍👍👍👍🤟🤟🤟🤟 You guys are awesome 👏
This Kid will NEVER FORGET WHAT YOU DID FOR HIM FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. I had to learn the hard way TRIAL & ERROR, as my dad being a GREAT MECHANIC wouldn't help unless I screwed something up first. There was no internet back in the early 80's but some HOT RODDING BOOKS I bought & me saving up all my money for years of grass moving, shoveling snow.
I acquired 1 68 Camaro & 2 69's, nothing special, 68 had a 327, 1 69 had a 350 & the other a 307. I wish I had someone too teach me but hands on, ( real experience ) with these cars taught me a lot. Ended up selling all 3 when I got married to buy a house, KILLED ME BUT IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TOO DO, I GUESS.
You guys are such an inspiration, DAMN GOOD FABRICATORS & MECHANICS, PLUS YOU'RE NOT SELFISH, A+ FROM ME FOR HELPING OUT YOUNG PEOPLE.
THANK YOU, but it's YOUR GREAT GENEROSITY & WILLING TOO HELP PEOPLE OUT IN THEIR TIME OF NEED, GREAT PEOPLE IN THIS KLOWN WORL.
Seems you two had just as much fun reminiscing on memories, and teasing from experience, as you did working on the car.
What I like is the boys getting involved and showing they can work with their dad. Way the go guys.
Awesome episode, love them old novas! Only thing I noticed was it looked more like a 75 or 76. Can’t wait to see the finished product!
Agree that is a 75 and later front end and rear
Gosh, brings back so many memories. Thank you fab rats. Dad bought and built dirt track stock cars from Novas, and raced them way back when it was still the Winston Series. These are some of the same things I used to get to do with my Dad. So very happy to see Hunter involved and you guys all enjoying yourselves. Sure makes "great for TV", and lasting memories.
Better than tv
Your family is just awesome. The kindness and generosity you show the people around you is amazing. Hunter seems like an awesome kid and is never going to forget what you did for him. He'll find a way to do something for you or pay it forward one day. Thanks for sharing!
Ps. I'll just cut these two wires here and pull my exhaust off🤣🤣🤣🤣
I got pulled over for loud exhaust 1 time when the cop asked why it was so loud I told him I didn't know how he heard it rattling around in the bed of my truck I couldn't hear anything over the open headers apparently the shop didn't tighten the collectors and my new exhaust got mangled when it hit the ground and tore out of the truck and wedged under my trailer he didn't find it as funny as I did but I only got a warning
Congratulations Hunter... Paul and Ben are wizards I tell ya. Great video everyone.
You guys are awesome. You just made his year I bet. Nothing like getting some upgrades on your hotrod you were not expecting.
GREAT Video GUYS. GLAD TO SEE YOU TAKE TIME TO HELP THE YOUNG GUYS. THEY WIL NEVER FORGET IT.
I hope Hunter enjoyed this as much as I did awesome job Paul and Ben!
Fab Rats family...that is WAY COOL that you are helping Hunter with hopping up and beefing up (posi, faster acceleration, more torque and higher rpm's more safely) his '74 Nova. I'm sure a lot of your subscribers would LOVE to see his car get disc brakes on the front (if it doesn't already have them), subframe connectors welded in to stiffen the frame, an 1 3/4" H-pipe in the exhaust, rear (and front) suspension work to make it hook up and also handle better, and you mentioned an aluminum intake and a hotter cam Paul...well OF COURSE! You and Ben helping Hunter out with upgrading his car, teaching him, your sons and the teens who watch your channel how it's done AND making some great, family-oriented automotive content at the same time is awesome.
Talk about a blast from the past. I haven't seen a Chevy Nova in years. They were popular back in the 1970's. There are good reasons to own your own junkyard.
Awesome episode, Hunter got hooked right up! When you cut the two wires off the exhaust and pulled it right off, I laughed too. haha Love the channel and the variety of stuff you all wrench on! 🙂
I love how you guys instantly know what that motor has gone through :D. Experience is its own education.
Look at the smile on Hunter's face with just a straight headers. That young man is gonna be so tickled when you get everything done.
Awesome to help out hunter and encourage the future fabricators
Good to see you Fella’s
Paul, this is real content an very watchable because of human heartfelt meaning. You could save stuff for other customers but what happens when you need a friend at two thirty in the morning? Hunter will have his shoes in hand as he makes for the door to give you the hand that you need. Positive feelings are earned an this should do more than a gift certificate at christmas time for a shirt
So great to see yas helping out on the young lads car! He will never forget this day! Thanks to great folks like you and helping todays kids get into the car world!
Just woke up and boom! FAB RATS. Best morning ever
I bet I can take this hold exhaust apart by cutting two wires. When you did it, I hit the floor. Man thanks for the laugh to get my day going. Paul you was cracking jokes all though this video today. Just to let you know, You, Matt and Robby have 7am to 9am covered in my life. Thanks for the entertainment.
Not a big Chevy fan but still like seeing the classic Nova still on the road.
Nice Nova. Great job helping Hunter.
I’m a big nova fan and I’m pretty sure you guys are off by a year that style started in 75
You are correct. That's 100% a fifth gen x body. The 4th gen was 73-74. This car is a 75-79
Nice! Now you can say that car is “a Hunter percent” done ✅
The yard shuffle was awesome 😂
Man I wish my friend had a dad like you when I was growing up. Thanks for sharing 😊
Love the family atmosphere ❤️
Hope you guys had a good time in California
Dang!!! Hunter got the hook up👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 so cool to watch👊🏻
I have to apologize I haven't watched some of your videos in quite some time. And I'm sorry that I haven't because I sure missed all family love. I mean that beautiful family Paul all love you. We all know where the sweetness starts from generations back and all of it was at home so we continue to share that same love and generosity with generations to come.
It was great to see how happy you guys were to help out the next gen of auto guys!!
This is so great! I wish I had some guys like Paul and Ben around to help me with all of my old cars when I was a young guy. You guys are awesome!
Going all out on Hunter's rig reminds me of how my Dad would help the neighborhood kids fix their bicycles, go karts and minibikes on the side. He had a day job but ran a small engine shop in our back yard. He could fix or modify almost anything. Way to go Mr. Paul and the Fab Rats Team!! 🤠
I love that everyone is working in the shop at the same time.
I LOVED this video. Reminds me of the things my cousin did to help me with my '68 Road Runner back in the late 70's.
It is a great learning experience for Hunter to do the majority of the wrenching. All in all, great job.
Man, I love seeing that utter chaos with all the kids getting in the way and everyone on top of each other haha. Keep it up guys
Just one more thing I think it's great you envolve your kids and family and they like it as much as you and I do watching them.
ooh , timed my lunch break well today ..crack on guys
By the way, I think it's awesome not only that you helped but how enthusiastic you were about it all. The stud, the exhaust, the rear end gears and all. I'm sure Hunter's going to love it when it's done. He's gotta be telling all of his friends what an awesome place it is to work and how great it is to work with Paul and Ben. I think we visitied your shop when Hunter first started! (drove up from Louisiana)
I'm 56 and am still wishing you guys were my dad and uncle lol and yes were all looking for that certain rear end
You're a great Dad and a Great employer too! Imagine Going to work just to film your Boss spend the whole day working on YOUR car and getting all the faults sorted. It's a GREAT day for Hunter !!
That home brew posi....we always called that a Lincoln Locker. lol Love your content and how you are helping the boys gain knowledge and skill and helping them to get a safer ride...albeit a noisy one. lol
Yeah, Lincoln Locker - a poor man's locker. Works great.
Another fun build! can't wait to see Hunter doin burn outs!
Hunter is extremely lucky to have a dad who can do stuff and a shop to do it in.
I loved the rods hanging out of the pan.
Looking after family in the shop... makes it a real family place... 🙂
Sounds amazing! Looking forward to Part 2! Good work guys!
Top marks, making his ride safe and fun. just because you can...this is how people should be with each other!
The part I like is even the youngsters have a good sense of humor. Yall must just be a blast to hang out with.
Just out of curiosity, why don't you ever install an X or H pipe in the exhausts that you build?
Love your content.
Ben is seriously a one man show sometimes, he's so funny he could be a comedian. Love the whole crew!
I wish I had friends like you as a teenager! Shoot it would still be nice to have friends help each other out like y’all. Keep up the good work.
I hope Hunter appreciates the knowledge he's getting along with these parts and labor of love. Great seeing younger men and middle aged men finding common ground.
When it comes to GM parts never throw anything away cause it interchangeably fits
I’m pretty sure it isn’t a 1974
No it's not, it's likely a '75 as the body style changes for 75. I had a '74, 4 door, base sedan with the 250 inline 6 and it was based on the '68-74 body style, then they did a redesign for '75 through 1979-80. I had a 78, much like this car, with the 305 V8 in it.
I'm with you, 74 looked way different than that, it's either a 75 or a 76
Man! What a life! Free go-fast parts for a kid that age... I think he'll never forget this!
Fun episode, being a Chevy guy it was cool to see some old school stuff being worked on
hey Paul I think it will be great if you and Matt help Robbie on Aiden's truck
That just sounds dumb. I would hate to have to see Robbie with Matt and Paul..sorry but his auto body content is very low on the totem pole of things anyone is really interested in watch🤷 I'd be very disappointed if Matt and Paul wasted their time. Most the time I avoid the boring Robbie videos because he's not very interesting..I feel he's trying to get popular off Matt and Pauls popularity
Chevy no go
Paul's inventory of used parts never ceases to amaze me, and knowing where it all is is even more impressive
Man you guys are literally the ultimate cool dads!
The best times of my life were being 15-18 with my uncle (who was a lot like you guys) ripping apart our old FJ40's my brother and I had and building them up again. He showed us how the old 2F engine could be rebuilt with GM parts to get nearly 300hp and how to fix, patch or fabricate anything needed.
Over the years we spent hundreds of hours in his old shearing shed working on our 4wds....half of that was rebuilding the crappy aluminium transfer cases that constantly exploded doing burnouts 🤣
Keep it up guys. Young men need more blokes like you guys in their lives.
As a young guy with a project car older than I am I love these kind of videos!
Having someone like you that is willing and able to help you fix your stuff is an asset that is beyond value for young people. I had a mechanic neighbor that helped me for a number of years but unfortunately he passed last year. He and his knowledge is greatly missed.
Please install a camera on the wall that covers the whole shop that runs all the time. We dont want to miss the next FIRE BALL!!
Got me there 😂Nacho Libray ! Lmao 😂 I hope he understands how lucky he is to have both of you gentlemen(I say that lightly) around to help and maybe pass on your Knowledge 👏😉
I got so happy when you called for the Smurf ladder, it hasn't been around for a _lot_ of episodes. Then Michelle started singing:) She's really a good singer, right on pitch and a nice tone even when she's goofing around.
Funny stuff 😄😂😄😂
Can I suggest that all of the Kids work on a plan to help you organise the yard so you don't have to search, find and rearrange things to get one item ,give you some working room and play space and as there are people always visiting,it would be much safer 🤗🤗
Maybe another shipping container for a organised parts storage area with shelving 🙂
Your like the uncle I am . Family is everything . I love your human ethic . Your a true gem Paul . Great crew great fam.
So awesome .. I was a 'Hunter' back in the day.. wish I had the connections he has!
Oh my that nova brings out memories from the 70’s, wild crazy times lol 😂
