I've been thru much of the world , including St.Maarten. This is one of the few places that I could spend the rest of my life in, without regrets and love it !
I've been to St. Maarten 10 times but not recently. It was wonderful to see the boardwalk. Thanks for posting.

That video was indeed awesome, it's nice seeing "the backstreets" of Philipsburg, not just the beach that you usually see, I also thought that I was walking along with you, the sounds were very realistic too, 5 stars and thumbs up

Well-filmed for a handheld walking video. I only heard about St. Maarten once in 1982 when a colleague went there on vacation, and again now that hurricane Irma trashed the place. Definitely an interesting little island.

6 years ago . not the same. a few years ago I was in st smarten .it was after the hurricane. gran cos was a disaster the main street was all busted up all the stores were boarded up. It really hit me hard to see all the damage. But they have made a great comeback. Good luck to all the people of st marten and st maarten.

Nothing wrong with wearing Speedos. It's a party island, after all. Guy's probably wasted or European or both.
If you've seen a Caribbean Island, you've seen them all.
Got disappointed. To many cars in narrow streets. I expected there would be more trees. I haven't seen plants. The sitting areas don't look cosy. Some tourists looked really cheap, like that man in his red speedo. He could at least wear a short for some decency. With some clothing rules, there wouldn't be this kind of ordinary looking tourists.
