Imagine you are at Comic-Con san diego 2022. you an avid cosplayer has chosen to be your favorite character from a galaxy a long time ago and far far way. It is late but not so much that the moon has brought darkness so you decide to venture out of your hotel room which reeks of sweat some other undesirable stench from your two room mates who you really don’t know. One of them is a furry. You step out onto the balcony to catch a wiff of fresh air and watch as the sun fades behind some far off distant hill. Three floors down on the opposite side of the hotel you can see an old man with long silver hair and a greying beard in a tuxedo he’s holding a silver plated trumpet he sees you smiles and plays binary sunset. Just for you. You decide that you must meet this man and make your way to his end of the hotel. eventually you learn that the London symphony orchestra is in town preforming that weekend. You find a violinist playing a slow somber piece on her instrument. It sounds familiar but you can’t quite place it because it’s a piece of a whole. After describing the person you saw the lady tells you that the mans name is benji and he is on the 3rd floor in the right second wing in room 2 you venture there and see three people observing the man you wished to meet in the hall way by his door in brown bath robes he has apparently just fallen it seems as though from a high place. He looks at you with a grimacing face and says “Hello there.”

The atmosphere is thick enough to deflect light when the sun is below the horizion. That is why the sun seems to take longer to travel when its just about to set. (The sun is actually already below the horizon, but the weaker parts of the visible light spectrum are bent like a prism to hit your eye) That is why the sun is redder at sunset/sunrise and its safe to look at.

I love stairwell reverb.. I had the pleasure of recording many artists and had access to an old naval hangar.. I used to set up a speaker and microphone in the stairwell and aux send whatever instrument or voice we wanted to have reverb to the speaker then return the reverb to another channel. This video brought me back
And right then and there I was back to being a child, Watching Luke Skywalker stare into the sunset all over again.
