Did similar in PNG in my teens - there was a WWII Small Japanese coastal freighter (about 200 tons) sunk in about 110ft - We raised it's anchor - it took about 6 dives to cut through it's anchor chain. then we cut holes in the tops (later to be the bottoms) of 6 44 gallon drums, and welded a triple run of chain to each. attached, filled from spare bottles, and got it to the surface and then slowly towed it about 10 miles to our dive club.

Congratulations on a job well done. I wonder how such a fairly new and by the appearance well maintained boat sank.

      Drain plug,hose or sea cock
I've also seen people want to move without pulling the anchor Tangled in the prop and be stuck with waves coming over the transom and filling boat till it rolls

    • @andre51286

Those ones look like 10000lb bags but they really depend on how much air you put in. You can overdo it otherwise they rocket off to the surface and they accelerate quicker as the rise due to air expanding etc. Very dangerous if you get tangled up in one and it goes. When boats are stuck in silt and they all of sudden pop out they tend to shoot off.

I would have preferred to see more of what happened on the surface as opposed to so much of the shaky camera under water stuff

It's a frickin Robalo... Should have just left it on the bottom.

What's funny is the engine. An old carbed 2 stroke like a Merc or Chrysler whatever could be opened up, dried out re oiled, buff any corrosion off the bore rings etc and probably fire right up. A new engine any brand, computers, efi, ecm, probably a total loss.

I don’t mean to be critical, but I think this video would’ve had even more views if you used some kind of a go pro mounted on your head. I don’t know if that’s possible with your diving gear, but The video feels really confusing at times even though you recorded it very well considering the circumstances.

if the owner has to go for medical care and you tow in the boat, do yo have the legal right to claim ownership by salvage ? does the state of fl. or coast guard set the charge per mile towed or have a standard price set for all companies to charge by average/ tow ? or fire-out serviceu ?or type of service ?.what wold you charge to store a 42 foot boat for 1 month ? or are you able to set the fees at what you think is fair ? if there is a fee dispute is their a Miami Dade Court that can rule to settle a claim of unfair or ecessive charge ? I have a tow boat s polacy on both my vessels, but what if an owner has no coverage and two diffrent company put out the same fire ?, do you both split the standard fee ? or is each say 1. tow boat and 2. fast recovery..h allowed to charge the same fee twice ? can you please explane so other owners may have an idea what it may cost to get their vesseks back ? thanks...

I liked the "Savaging" from 70' down. Savaging (not even "A") sunk fishing boat, salavaging Sunk Fishing ....well, it is indeed a "SUNKEN" fishing boat... I just sure as shit pray that whoever wrote that bastardized English caption isn't a school teacher...!

Not a very good description of a salvage operation , whats the point of presenting unedited footage for public consumption ?

No info why it sunk, no backstory, no payoff, no story, not worth watching,
