The water is not colder than above water. Coldest temperature in the water (0 degrees C.) Above water could be colder.

We kept telling the divers that, but they claimed it was colder in the water.

@@americanunderwaterservices Yeah, divers can be such a bunch of wusses. especially when diving under ice. Diving is incredible, I try to limit my diving to warm waters now like the Red Sea.

Boats, like cars that are recovered from a lake, will have electrical problems until they are crushed. The inevitable corrosion is slower than if it came out of salt water, but corrode it will.

It’s true, a lot of stuff will be fine, especially in a lake. If an engine is running when it fills with water it is normally ruined, but switched off ones do okay. After all, fuel has hydrogen in it and sulphur, so engines are used to small amounts of water and acid inside them. (We gave petrol and diesel engines a lot of abuse off-roading:o) )

With editing and narrating like this how do you only have 300 subscribers? So many recovery videos are lacking in both areas. Also looks like you guys are well organized too.

I was working in a port in Italy . Recovering the usual sunken vessel. (As commercial diver). But you using the superlite Kirby Morgan set up seems to me a bit over the top here......Is the as we slall say , extra to dress up??????🤑✉💰💰💰💰💰???????

There bouyancy hats, on contact with water they inflate into a lifeboat. They saved 6 builders at my local swimming baths the over day. Great invention.

I don't understand, if you guys are professional hard hat divers, then why aren't you using the Commercial Diving Helmet communication system? And why are you guys cold? That wouldn't be a problem with dry suits and argon gas with the correct ring seal gloves that allow for dexterity and warmth. Perhaps the lift beg would not have been damaged if they had pushed the boat just a little way from the slip. Sorry, this isn't what I call a professional operation.
