📱 What screen recorder am I using?
I use Camtasia to make all my videos. From my experience it's the best screen recorder available, and I like the built in video editor and cursor effects. Check it out here: techsmith.z6rjha.net/ba9x0M

Hi Rick, I haven't watched your newer videos since 1.3 came out because I'm still on 1.2. But eventually I had to come back and watch, because your tutorials are just so much fun. 😁
Hope you're well!
Damn Rick, this is really clever. Existence of both tools is not a secret, but combining them is a thing! Thank you.
Thanks! Love combining and experimenting!
This is crazy. Beautiful trick! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much!
Learning Inkscape for my decal/signage business and going through your playlist tutorials is super helpful! Thank you so much! Keep up the great work, your channel deserves a lot more views and subs! (I just subbed as well)
Thank you so much! I’ll keep on making these. 😊
This tutorial is super interesting. Also, your enthusiasm is so inspiring! Thanks again for your ideas.
wow, what a clever find AND a beautiful effect !!
i really like the second, distributed, organic looking version.
i'm so glad i found this channel ! 🙏
long time Rick! nice to see you
Too long! I have so many ideas I want to share. 😀
nice! so good to see you doing what we all do lots of times, crashing inkscape!! Boy do we feel your pain..thanks for the refresh, and wow ...who knew that little feature of overlap remove was there! haha
Haha! I crash 💥 Inkscape all the time. Might be my best skill. Ha
@@IronEchoDesign The one skill that none of us need a tutorial for, haha.
@@AlextheENTP Hahaha. So true.
Very very clever technique! And it looks great. Thanks once again.
Thank you very much! Nice and easy technique. 😀
Ah very cool resul.
Thank you, Adam! 😀
You are a cool guy!!!
Perfect result i love it
Thank you!! 😊
👍👍
Hi Rick! I hope all is well. I am sure that I am not the only one waiting for a comprehensive map art video =) I thought you also love to make them. Long time no see :(
Awesome
Thank you!! 😊
That unset stroke/fill is also very important when working with symbols. I didn't discover that until a few weeks ago. Wish I known that 2 years ago. lol
Haha. It’s a great little feature!
@@IronEchoDesign there is a lot of little features that I am now discovering that I wished I had discovered 2 years ago. Like bucket fill. I must enjoy doing things the hard way.
Inkscape sort of reminds me of an Android phone. It is very powerful - if you can figure out which button to press.
Great analogy! It really is like that. Haha.
@@IronEchoDesign Hold on now! Trying to learn Affinity Designer. There is the missing iPhone.
The result of the video looks a bit different than what you show at the start. I like that start mosiac more - it looks like someone actually put those tiles in following invisible lines and curves - if you know what I mean. :) How did you create the one at the start?
Thanks! I made the first one off camera, taking my time to get it just right. The one I narrated on video was done live.
If you don't mind me asking, do you have a video on saving designs to put on t-shirts? Reason I ask every time I save a design and get ready to use it the colors are way off. Can you help?
Tiled clone is massively underused. However, the more objects you use, the harder it is for your hardware so for anyone reading this, keep that in mind before setting tons of objects. If your PC/Mac/Laptop slows right down, reduce the amount of clones
It's massively underused beause of it's poor usability. It's powerfull but it has lags and being unstable. I wish there was LPE that gives these functions.
So true. Good tip!
Same here.
@@Inkscape-tutorial-pl Well I know that the devs watch people who upload Tutorials so hopefully they will watch this or mayyyyybe they are already working on it. We live in hope
@@TGFGamesta Some time ago Doc Martin was asking about wanted features and there were many voices about LPE based tiled clone tool. So we'll see.
Hows the blending multiple images together on inkscape ? Any video or reference?
Is there a way to create money engrave effect in Inkscape?
How to put text on a cylinder, sphere or mug
hey thanks for the video i'm always trying to replicate as soon as i can. But i run into an issue. All the clones come in 1 single row ( all 5500 ish of them ). I have all the settings the same as in your example.
Thanks. All clones in a single row means something is set in one of the tabs. Try pushing the reset button on the menu a few times and then enter a small number like 5 rows x 5 columns. See if that solves the one row issue.
@@IronEchoDesign Thanks, it worked !
@TheFer-hj3hb Nice!!
Ok, it has been a month since you did a vid? What's up????
Haha. I’m working on a new one! And scrapped one a couple weeks ago. Didn’t love the design in the end so scrapped it.
Can you make a video on how to generate textured backgrounds like vox has in its videos?
