I remember as a child watching Julia Child cook on TV. The feeling of cozy warmness that she generated, made you feel at home and engaged. She was a true pioneer and I feel blessed to have her as my gold standard.

Seeing Julia work in the kitchen always reminds me of watching her show with my Nonna. My Nonna would watch me for the day or overnight, and she'd always watch Julia's show, that, and Little House on the Prairie. All In The Family, 60 Minutes and Steve Harvey reminds me of my Grandpa. My Nonna loved to cook and bake, and would teach me too, so of course I like cooking and baking too. It passed down to my daughter, and she owns her own restaurant, and a few grandkids are getting into cooking and baking now, too.

So many of us were raised on Julia Child. My mom loved to watch Julia.
Looking back, I can see how rough the production skills were ... almost every YT cook does better with their home studio. But Julia had magic ... she could have frosted twigs fall and spun sugar fail and make a better dessert, and one you really feel you can make at home.

I used to watch this show with my grandmother, who lived with us. She was in French Canadian descent and loved anything French. There was a charm to these programs that is missing today.

They might have been but that particular model is not really one to be envious of at the time. I have one. this is more of a light duty machine. This one looks like it could be a model for 4C. Fees never came with a dough hook attachment and actually there's no lock mechanism to prevent the head from bouncing. The whisk actually has one tine it's a little thicker that the rest because the is also used as a paddle on this model.

In some episodes she uses a Sunbeam Mixmaster and in other episodes she uses both models at the same time. I have a Mixmaster I bought new over 20 years ago that has the motorized turntable that turns the bowl. It was only made for a short time. The motorized turntable makes a huge difference in the mixing action.

Comme j'ai adoré le chocolat qui avait un effet boisé. Un hommage aux pâtisseries françaises, car elles sont aussi spéciales que leur café au chocolat.

Don't be silly, she was the queen of coping with cooking show mishaps, it didn't faze her one bit. She kept on going, like anyone in show business. She showed us how it's done.
