    Have you ever wondered how Knocked Loose brings their trademark mix of punk and hardcore to a live setting? We recently caught up with Isaac Hale, lead guitarist and backing vocalist, while on tour with Bring Me the Horizon, grandson, and siiickbrain. With more than 100 shows in 2022 and several international tours under his belt, Isaac understands the challenge of getting the right sound on the road. From his dyad of Ibanez 7-string axes to the convenience of Kemper Profilers, we got a firsthand look at what it takes to bring down the house night after night. Check it out!

      I think just because he is using a Kemper is probably out of necessity. Once your gear becomes to much and cumbersome you have to start thinking about all that extra weight and size where are you going to put all of it.

    During Bonnaroo 2023 they were using Quad Cortex. Wonder if they were testing them out or are officially using them now for tours?

  • @zylonchar
    @zylonchar Pƙed rokem +16

    Got to admit since the breakthrough of the modelling amps and what not all these Rig tours and rundowns have become a bit... stale. The guitar parts are fun as every but the amp parts you can just skip cause it's the same stuff for everyone. I do get it's reliable and solid gear and would use one myself if I ever went back doing shows, but for a person who's into all music gear you can just 100% skip all amp parts for a lot of videos.

      @justjacobmartin Pƙed rokem +7

      i think they should start meeting players in the studio rather than on the road. in a slow and controlled environment guitar players are still going to want to use the real thing. and much more weird and diverse set ups get used in the studio.

    This was a super cool video until he showed his kemper. Theres almost no point to a rig rundown when its just a couple guitars and a lunchbox. I wanna see amps and cabs and elaborate pedalboards. Wish he would have had the pedalboard he was talking about that got too big. That would have been neat-o.

      It’s all about dollars and cents at the end of the day. These kempers can be flown for cheap, and are very durable. Or he can get one locally when they go overseas and it will sound the exact same as the one he uses at home. Not the case at all with tube amps. One day the power is 110 the next it’s 105.. tube amps get all pissy. I wish everyone was running real amps too but it is what it is.

  • @riffstud93
    @riffstud93 Pƙed rokem

    “I use modelers because I had a massive pedal board of 37 redundant pedals and tube amps didn’t make sense.” Sounds like you have too many pedals and it’s not an amp problem lol. When I think of knocked loose I don’t think of effects. Don’t know why he went on that tangent but ok lol

    • @mattsonrobbins281
      @mattsonrobbins281 Pƙed rokem +3

      i’ve been running a rig pretty similar to what he was using prior
you’d be surprised how fast pedals can stack up when you’re playing that kind of stuff. for the most part each pedal provides a somewhat minor difference in sound, helps to make the music feel more dynamic overall when you have all those little variations you can blend together vs say jumping back and forth between just 2 rather distinct tones
