Campsite Tour - Kendal Caravan and Motorhome Club site

It is mid May and the weather is very unseasonable - wet and cold even for Cumbria!! But we take to the road and make our way to the glorious Lake District, which is lovely whatever the weather.This video is the first in a series about our trip to Cumbria. In this video we show you around the C&MC site in Kendal - luckily during a break in the rain!

Hi there. yes it is a great site and we were lucky to get our favourite pitch. Have you visited the cafe at Low Sizergh Barn and also Sizergh Castle?

How are you finding the sites, we hear tales of not being able to book and all full but the ones we pass seem half empty. The NC500 is reported variously as busy, mobbed and quiet. Not sure what to believe LOL.

We booked well ahead of time ( months in advance) and have avoided the main holiday periods. We have found some sites can be fairly busy but on our recent northerly trips there were quieter days, usually mid week.We are trying out some sites with no facilities and these tend to be quieter. as well. We plan to travel south soon so will be interesting to see how these are.
