this is by far probably the most beautiful origami flower tutorial
a tip: at the end, in the middle of ur rose if there's an awkward space; try making paper rolls (quills) of the same color and placing it in between! works like a charm
This is the first origami piece I have ever attempted!
I used paper that was old and a bit too thick, so it was prone to tearing, especially since I painted it beforehand. But! The tearing actually added a lot of realistic detail, even though it did make the whole process harder (the very middle was just a hole for me). lol
All in all, great tutorial that you can even follow on mute and listen to or watch something else. The rose turned out amazing! 😁

Whoever invented making such a beautiful 3D rose by just folding only one piece of paper is a genius. your video is excellent. you explain things so clearly with markups etc. You are a wonderful teacher. it is well worth watching this 25 minutes video to learn how to make the rose. craft is no kid stuff. i am in awe of the art of orgami. looking forward to learning more from you the great teacher!
may i suggest that in addition to stating the size of the paper, you also state the type of paper to be used? i found that using a thin paper to make this rose won' t work. i picked a thin paper because petals should look light. unfortunately thin paper just cannot withstand the many creases and manoeuvring one has to do to produce this rose
damn, I have been doing origami for some years, and this was probably one of the most challenging pieces I have ever done! Turned out great, and I added a stem to complete the look. Awesome video, thanks!
i just made it with 12x12 cm paper, it was definitely a challenge but i finally managed to get it in two tries!!

It is. Just choose a flexible paper, that Is not too thick. The tutorial Is very clear, you should be able to get a nice rose at the end !

How do you add a stem to it?
the thumbnail that led me here showed a rose with a stem. how do we make that part?
It's photoshop, in the thumbnail it's a real stem.
I am stuck with the "automatically takes the shape of a square part" 😢
i dont know how he got "automatically" but it does eventually bend to the will of your hands.
I just did this with a 3x3 inch sticky note
I got stuck on base part 3 and gave up. 😪 I need a beginner tutorial LOL This is way too intricate for my brain to wrap around it!

If the only paper i got has different colors on both sides, is there a way i can know from the start what color is the rose gonna be?
Right at the beginning, when I show the paper, in the upper right corner there is a symbol showing the color red at the top and white at the bottom. Every time this appears in a video it means that the main color starts facing up.

The only part i cant fully understand is how to bring the 4 tips together, its so hard to fold those thats the most frustraring part, but eventually did it😊, but still when i made it looked kinda bad, 2nd attempt of making it better still frustrated
I really hate folding this from your tutorial, I'm using 2 colour sided paper while your using 1 colour on both sides, I have thrown away about 5 pieces of paper for folding wrong

This really is the hardest part, you need to turn the paper counterclockwise making the middle open.
