I see that a lot with Ebay turbochargers.. your really have to have a good relationship with a good supplier.. and always double check the parts.... because some will sell you a TD05 spec'd turbo and call it an HX40...lol... Thanks for pointing this out Austin..👍
Great video. You ever see the 56mm HX40 with a 6 blade billet wheel and a "Volvo" compressor cover? I have two of them.
Just had a shop try an pass off the hx35 fake off as a fleece 63 cheetah... then when called out said it was a $1400 bd turbo. Thanks for the info

It would pay to do some research I think you'll find there's a bunch more models of either HX that go well into the hundreds of models.
Now do you not think the lack of Holset cast onto the covers is a give away they are fake ?
steve murch it’s Understood they are fake. But it wasn’t known that the suppose to be larger turbo was smaller
@@turbolabamerica again there is countless models of 35 and 40 units so you cant claim a 35 is bigger than a 40, theres many data bases that covers it.
Hey man. Would a GTX3576R 1.06 would be better than GTX3582R 1.06 for a spool up? I have a hybrid T3 single scroll top mount and my GTX3582R 1.06 T3 SS hits full boost around 5000-5200 which is kinda sad
Oleg which motor is that on. That is poor performance for that turbo, you likely have a leak at the seal plate. We always machine them for an oring
Turbo Lab America yeah, it used to hit full boost around 4500rpm but eventually changed, I’ll check the for that leak there (n54)

You get what you pay for in this market. Buy cheap and you will suffer latter.
The hx30 qnd hy35 are 9cm hot side.
It seems to me that this "hx40" is yet another Chinese T4 derivative.
