Felt like I was there with you on your journey. Thank you for the great camera work and narration. Most of all, thank you for not having annoying music in the background!
+tph777 Thanks ! Great that you liked it. I won't be having any music in the background ever. I hope to put up some more videos that I have taken over the past few years, Norway, Caribbean, Europe etc sadly only the recent ones are in 4k.
Thanks Bernadette, yes she is and Lisa says thank you very much. Glad you liked the video, one day I might put another cruise video up when I get the time to edit it - I have a few unedited videos from past years that I might put on CZcams but for obvious reasons new cruising videos are a long way off I think.
This is one of the best amateur travel videos I've ever seen. The photographer and his wife are what most tourist couples would like to be but seldom are.
The coverage of the Queen Victoria and your experiences at the various ports is truly appreciated. The journey has inspired us to follow in your footsteps. With gratitude.
That is great to hear, thanks. One day I might get around to doing another video. Stopped cruising after going on about 25 in the space of 8 years. Currently making trips to Tenerife, Austria and Finland so maybe I'll do a video of them.
your voice is amazing i would love too hear you read a book to me i know that sounds a bit weird but it's so enchanting and calming very soothing could listen to you all day why didn't i have teachers with that voice i would have done much better in school great review and what a lovely wife as well hope to see more videos (or hear more )lol
4m46seconds - That is me. I work on here as an Entertainment Host. I am Chris and it looks like you had a wonderful time. We look forward to seeing you back on Queen Victoria in the near future. Thank you for sailing with Cunard.
Thanks, glad you liked it! Yes the camera is amazing, both at video and stills. The lens is a Sony FE 24-70mm f4 ZA OSS Vario-Tessar Carl Zeiss T* Lens and the sound is from a Sony XLR Microphone/XLR Adaptor (Sony XLRK2M.CE). If you are interested.
Enjoyed the video, excellent quality, great comments! Looking forward to seven days on the Queen Victoria from September 17. Only hope my pictorial memories are as good as yours.
Fabulous ! Enjoyed every moment of that - it's a Med. cruise for me .. with Cunard.... a.s.a.p. !!! Have just subscribed and looking forward to viewing your other offerings - love the quality of the vid/pics too. Nice work ! P.S. Have to say the outfits chosen by your wife were lovely - she looked fabulous every day/evening.
+JONI HAUGHTON Hi Joni, thanks that made day. My wife will be pleased too, I am lucky to have a willing "Star" of my videos. I should be on commission from Cunard !
Nice video, great taste of what to expect. Audio sometimes overwhelms the commentary, but I like the unpretentious commentary and we didn't have to suffer someone who fancies themselves in front of the camera. Well done.
Thanks Frank, we have done about 25 cruises since 2010 and have seen most places in Europe and Scandinavia plus the Caribbean. I am not sure when the world will return to normal, another cruise does seem along way off at the moment. Really glad you liked the video.
Good video me and my wife are going on the victoria this tue 3 nov, never cruised cunard before your video gave us good insight to the victoria thankyou for sharing
MY COMPLIMENTS TO YOU FOR AN ENJOYABLE VIDEO. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO EUROPE OR ON ANYOF THE CUNARD LINERS. THE QUEEN VICTORIA IS REALLY A CLASSY SHIP TO SAY THE LEAST. WOULD LOVE TO GO ON, BUT OUR CURRENCY IN SOUTH AFRICA IS VERY BAD. YOU HAVE A LOVELY AND A CHARMING WIFE, WARM REGARDS AND THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN, ERIC
Hi Eric, thanks for the those great comments. Yes my wife is lovely and charming and I will tell her now :) Never been to South Africa but I work with someone who was born there and he says it is a beautiful place.
Thanks I am glad you liked it. We are going in September again. Not sure how to do another video of almost the same trip and make it interesting but maybe will include more interior shots.
Awesome video. My wife and I really appreciate the time you took filming this. Excellent quality, too. We are taking our dream Mediterranean cruise on the Queen Victoria in Oct. For the most part the same route you and your wife explored. We're sooooo excited and you gave us something to look forward to. Thanks again!
You are right. Other ships are too crowded during summer time but we have a 7 yr old so we prefer all the busy kids club but maybe when he is older we will go fir cunard
Thank you for your prompt reply and we wondered what your decision was regarding an inside cabin, we have booked a balcony but for further cruises we were very curious
Yes I should have replied in the video to that open question. For me the inside is perfect, complete blackout so I get a good nights sleep but my wife prefers the balcony for the benefits of having your own space to sit outside. As the Cunard ships are hardly busy outside I find the balconies a complete waste of money. The outside cabins are a good compromise offering great rooms and a view often at little more than the inside ones. So my wife is "happy" to go with an outside but not an inside. I think on Cunard, the inside cabins offer everything at almost half the price and for me, who just sleeps in the cabin, make perfect sense.
+CJ Elcoat Lucky you. We have been a few times on the Elizabeth and it's my fav. but the Victoria is almost identical. You are correct Cunard are the best.
Would you say Cunard are for older people? There were times it looked like a ghost ship. Beautifully filmed. And your voice over made it better. May you take many more cruises and film them.
Yes I would say older people but not old people. Children would not like Cunard. It's just a giant hotel really if you get off most days. So I prefer the hotel to be top quality rather than entertaining. There are many types of cruises , just like hotels. Lots of people might be bored on a Cunard cruise but for us its just about having lovely food and a good nights sleep. I am gad you liked the video. If I go on one with enough different ports I will put another video up as they seem to be far more popular than I thought they would be.
I'm only 32 and would love to sail on a Cunard ship! I'm actually planning a transatlantic crossing on Queen Mary 2 in 2021, and am super excited about it! The Carnival floating theme park experience doesn't really appeal to me, but Cunard seems to be everything I imagined a relaxing cruise to be.
⭐️EXCELLENT CINEMATOGRAPHY , EDITING & OBJECTIVE & HUMOROUS WHITTY 😃COMMENTARY OF INTERESTING SIGHTS & SHIPS FEATURES 👍⚠️ Please advise if you have additional post of other trips which I would enjoy viewing your additional videos ! ⭐️You are nice traveling companions in life . Respectfully Robert Q. Westminster ,California 👍😃
Thank you very much for that ! Glad you enjoyed it - It's not a cruise but you might like this trip to Hong Kong see czcams.com/video/eZAto25Mbk4/video.html
I've never tried Cunard as I was told different cabins get different levels to eat on. And was quite pompous. Having never tried it, I'm pleased to have seen this video. Although at times the ship seemed quite spooky with so little people. I'm now tempted to try it
+pinkpoo007 Try it. Never pompous. There are a few places where only the "upper" classes are allowed to go but you are not aware of them any more than you are aware of where the crew eats. We like the space and lack of crowds. It's great knowing you'll always be able to get a sun bed, a seat near a window for a coffee and just not feeling like you are in a moving queue as you walk around the ship. Hope you liked the video.
Never pompous on Cunard, in fact quite the opposite. The staff are very friendly and well as the fellow travellers. Yes there are the Grills but you won't see them unless you've booked into a Grill Suite. Cunard ships are VERY spacious which is why it seems there are very few passengers. I've been on QV 2 and will be onboard for a 3rd time later this year. You won't find any pool games or wet t-shirt contest onboard but you will find a relaxing cruise.
+ourtvchannel I'm so impressed it's my third time watching this. I find cruising videos very uplifting, and put you in the frame of mind ready for your next
@@keiserious Yes that is an understatement. I expect cruising won't resume until a working and safe vaccine has been found. Then I expect only those with either proof of vaccine taken or a very recent virus test will be allowed on the boat. Thinking more about it , I think the vaccine will be the only safe approach given the multiple ports visited in multiple countries.
Thank you very much I am glad you enjoyed it. After going on about 25 cruises from 2010 We found that we had visited most of the ports in Europe and Norway multiple times. We have been to Tenerife a lot over the past year, the weather is glorious whatever time of the year, there some great 5 star hotels too so it is appealing but not really interesting for videos. But.... I have just come back from 11 day in Japan so if you subscribe and click the bell icon you will be alerted when I put up the Japan visit video. which I hope people will like. It includes Tokyo, Hiroshima and Kyoto so very different from Europe.
Thank you for the great video. My wife and I are considering the queen Victoria for a July cruise, however, we have a sixteen year old daughter and a severn year old son. I don't recall seeing on your video any youngsters at all, are they going to feel completely out of place? Thank you in advance - David
+Francesca Bagshaw I am not sure what happens on Cunard ships during the summer school holidays as we try to avoid them but I have not seen many children on Cunard cruises at any time. When we took our children, 16-20 in ages, we went on Princess Cruises during schools holidays - very busy and too many children for us but they did enjoy the those holidays.. glad you liked the video
As per most of the comments - I enjoyed your video - and really appreciated the depth you went too - am most interested in what you thought of the inside cabin though? Also, what video camera would you recommend - has the sony you used been updated? It gave very great clarity. Kind Regards, Gary (Australia)
Hi Gary, well I loved the inside cabin, it was small but how big does a room need to be if you are just sleeping in it? I got the best sleep ever due to it's total light black out .... but my wife didn't like it. :( she prefers the balconies or outside cabin which are bigger as well as having views ) I am happy to pay a bit extra for the outside but the balcony is just a waste of money for me. That said we can afford the balconies so I always lose the argument. The camera is stunning I agree. It is a Sony A7R II which has been replaced with the A7R III which I also own. It is even more amazing. It's very expensive but they have just released the A7 III - it is even better than the camera I used for this video and almost at good for stills as the A7R II. If I were looking for the quality of this video or better and mega high resolution stills were not my priority then there is no better choice than the A7 III just out. It is still not cheap though. Thanks for liking the video.
Yes we choose cruises which go to ports where you can just walk off and enjoy the local area. it saves on the excursion costs which often offer nothing more than the local port. Of course Rome, Pisa and Florence are the exceptions. For those go on the "Rome on your" own type of trips as you don't need anything more than the transport.
Great video....actually superb is more appropriate. I do have a couple of questions. Are there any drinks packages one can buy? Are soft drinks, teas and coffees complimentary or are you charged? How was the food in the buffet?
Thanks that made my day. There are non alcoholic drinks packages you can buy. You can get free coffee and tea but there are also options to have the best coffee in a package of ten. Unlimited soft drinks packages too. The buffet is excellent. To be honest Cunard, in our experience, are the best. We have been on about 30 cruises in 8 years so we have tried a few.
ourtvchannel Thanks for the prompt reply! How long did it take you to get to Pisa? Did you do it on your own or did you pay for an excursion? There's so little time and it is at some distance. Please keep on making more videos and may your health allow you to enjoy many more cruises in your golden years!
I don't pay extra for a balcony. I only book when I can get an upgrade to balcony for free! We are booked on the Queen Victoria next year - looking forward to it.
Nice video.. We just got back from princess cruise and enjoyed it. We are from USA and thinking about European cruise. We were able to rent Tux's at princess can you do that on Queen Victoria? I'd hate to have to carry extra clothes..
+KnapDad Glad you liked the video ! - I have never rented a Tux but I'd be shocked if you couldn't - I suggest you contact Cunard direct and see if there is anyway to advance book your size just in case.
Enjoyed your merry quips, especially the one about the inside cabin guests paddling furiously in their canoes back to the ship, very droll, have some pity on the poor troglodytes, you have a soothing voice, would have been nice to have seen you, maybe you can get Lisa to film you, the tiny photo does not do you justice, I await many more of these sojourns
Thanks LInda, it always makes my day when someone says they like the video. Lisa is a far better subject than me, maybe in a future video I'll pluck up the courage to be on film. I have some more video from previous cruises which I haven't put up as not so good quality. Maybe I'll revisit them. I have a video of Hong Kong here that you may like , ps. I have a brief appearance in that one - czcams.com/video/eZAto25Mbk4/video.html
It's my dream to sail round the world with Cunard. Firstly, thanks for doing this! Cunard's promotional material is in terrible quality, and this was superb. Secondly, I hope when I eventually do cruise with cunard, I'll meet people like you.
As a professional voice over, I can tell you, you'd make a good living at it. Wanted to ask, as an inside cabin, were you prevented to use restaurants?
Wow ! thank you ! - no the inside cabins are not second class , you get everything the balcony clients get . I liked the inside room but my wife prefers a view. We went with an "outside" cabin this September and that was great. Good value and my wife liked it almost as much the balcony cabins.
Thanks for the offer of work I take that as a compliment. I don't currently need any work but if the world falls apart maybe one day. I have been on about 25 cruises in the last ten years but none for 2 years. Decided to have a break as we have been to Norway 5 times, around the med countless times, Caribbean and various short cruises. Obviously cruising is going to be a major problem for a long time to come. Having had the virus myself I am in no hurry to have it again ( if possible ). No one ever looked down on us , why should they? We always meet a complete random selection of people on most cruises. Some mega rich people are often the most modest people you'll meet and often those with limited reasons to show off never stop. Overall the people on cruises are very nice people but choose the cruise line that reflects your character. Cunard is our favourite, quiet and quality. If you have children they'll not like it. P & O are a real mix of people , much more life on board and younger clients. Princess are in between Cunard and P & O. Hope that helps.
We have been on all of them Victoria, Mary and Elizabeth. They are all great. The Queen Elisabeth and Victoria are almost identical. The Elisabeth is my favorite ship, just because it is a bit newer.
+g moday No I don't own one. I do own a tripod but have never used it. Its was all hand held. The Sony A7R ii is small and if you hold it to your face and try not to move too fast it is relatively easy to keep steady. I am thinking of getting the CAME-Single 3 Axis Gimbal. Not sure about the total weight bur the results I have seen are amazing. Glad you liked the video.
+g moday I had a GH4 for a few weeks but it's focus speed made it difficult to film the sort of videos I do. If 4k is important the Sony AX100 is a wonderful camcorder or the new RX10 Mark 2 which I bought recently. I have another video filmed using the AX100 , very good quality and easy to keep in focus. Lacks the "film" quality of the Sony A7 series of cameras sadly.
+ourtvchannel i have a canon 5dmk3 but ut's too heavy to carry around so i'm looking for something like a sony, lumix. I will google the cam that u suggested. Btw we love kotor too. Loge to visir it again
It kinda looks like a ghost ship being empty. I’m told they are very strict with dress code. And depending on type of accommodation will depict where you can eat. Is that true?
It is never busy on the ship and you'll always find a place to sit and have a coffee. It doesn't feel empty but I agree it looks like it in the video. Yes they do like you to be smart casual in the evenings and very smart on formal evenings of which there are usually two a week. Yes there are few places to eat that are hidden on floors you can't get to for people who pay a fortune for a cabin. Having been on at least 15 Cunard cruises I can say you'll never know they exist. The ship is vast and full of places you can eat and all are excellent.
you know you should think about what i said maybe doing video's where you read and review books if you ever do please let me know really would love that and by all the comments about your voice i really think others would love it thank you
+Joe Ingram Hi Joe. Well for me, who finds sleeping not as easy as I'd like, the inside was perfect. No light what-soever, better than any black out curtains. My wife was fine about it too but would always prefer a balcony as she would sit out on it and read a book later on in the day. That said; on Cunard we never find getting a nice place on deck to read and watch the world go by difficult. P& O , Princess etc with higher numbers of passengers to ship size are usually fine but on the odd sea day can get busy on the decks, we'd go for balconies on those cruise lines. Hope that helps. I realised when watching the video I never recorded my conclusions on my first inside cabin so thanks for giving me the chance to record them here.
+ourtvchannel Your comprehensive response is much appreciated. My wife and I live in Australia and thinking of doing the same cruise or perhaps a 21 night Cunard cruise later in the year. Seems like you had a wonderful time and took some great footage along the way. Thanks again.
+ourtvchannel I wonder if it would be possible to give an idea of what a couple should budget for in terms of shore excursions and the occasional speciality on board restaurant, I know this is one of those how long is a piece of string questions but any guidance would be helpful. We prefer to explore by ourselves; rather than organised tours but walking long distances can be a challenge, particularly if hills are involved. It would be good to get busses from the ship to a point of interest then go it alone so to speak.
+Joe Ingram In terms of budget I would think along these lines:- Speciality restaurants vary in how they charge, but The Verandah on Queen Victoria charges a straightforward 29 USD cover charge per person for a 3 course dinner. That's lovely once, or maybe even twice on a fortnight's cruise if the spending money stretches to it! Excursions are a little more difficult to quantify, but I would say that on a typical Mediterranean cruise most ports lend themselves to inexpensive exploring on foot. You can generally walk straight off the ship right into town centres - if you're happy just wandering and exploring. Quite often a shuttle bus is available where the walk is longer, at a cost of around 8 USD per person each way...quite expensive, so look out for equivalent local buses (for example Barcelona, Corfu town). In Venice it will be a motor launch, at a higher cost to get you to St Mark's Square. We normally do one or two Cunard excursions (but no more), and we've typically chosen ones at a cost of 50 USD per person for a half day (Pisa for example) or 90 USD for a full day (coach into Rome). To sum up, I think you can certainly keep costs very reasonable by doing your own thing at most ports! - Lisa
1300 GB Pounds, 1650 Dollars, 1450 Euro each. That is for the inside cabin we had for this 14 night cruise, a total bargain I think. We usually have a balcony, which would have cost about 40% more, I personally would always have an inside but my wife loves balconies so that is what we get. GB Pounds at 2016, converted prices in Nov 2018. Today I think the prices are about 10% more but when you think what you get it is an amazing bargain.
+ourtvchannel Thank you for the information. I believe that USA cruises, although much cheaper, cannot be booked by Brits, or perhaps at an inflated cost? Some of those ships look amazing on CZcams with rock climbing and the like. So unsure which way to go on this. l expect all your connections to the sites were included in that price?
Good question, most Cunard cruises are like this and it's why we like them. You do see the people around but it's never busy. Cunard have less passengers for the size of the ship compared to other cruise lines.
Still cruising but haven't filmed anything recently which is a shame. I will look at some of my older videos which I haven't put up. With a bit of editing they might be interesting. Thanks for asking.
Yes one of the reasons we like Cunard. Over 2000 passengers on that ship and you and I can both see no crowds. That is definitely not true of all Cruise lines.
I agree the audio could be better but carrying a big camera on a holiday is bad enough, adding a good microphone would ruin the holiday but I will look for a small one.
@@ourtvchannel Maybe just use a written description of what is on screen or add a subtitle tract of the audio. Very nice travelogue, however, despite this shortcoming.
I enjoyed your video, but the audio completely overwhelmed the commentary and irritated my ears quite a bit. I struggled to hear you at times which forced me to end the video early. I am hoping you can make some changes in the audio background with other videos . Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, it is difficult to talk out loud when walking around without people thinking you are mad. I could add comments after the event but I feel it would not be what I was thinking at the time. I will look at audio options.
cunard does not look to have changed much on the interior from the 40s and 50s compared to other cruise line companies still have ball room type dancing this kind of cruise would be no good to me the décor has not changed all that much why is this why have cunard kept with the old style cruise ships even the queen Elizabeth doesn't look to be all that modern either this is what I don't understand when you look at other cruise lines who are not as famous as cunard
I think it is called choice. I have been on "modern" style ships, Royal Caribbean, Princess and even P & O. All are great ships with lots to do but if you like ships without crowds, great service , great food, less noise and less smokers then Cunard is one of the best. I think liking cruises is like liking hotels - not all hotels are same and someone who likes one type of hotel will hate another. So your choice is right for you and mine is right for me. Thanks for the comment, I don't work for Cuanrd either it is just my opinion.
What a "matter of sorts" commentary! I don't know why you should include the Queen Elizabeth Liner in the title of your video. More like a tour guide's visit to Rome
The ship is getting old and boring for all 3 ships. Just came back from 16 days Cunard. It degraded a lot. food quality and quantity BAD, no lobster. especially at the Lido. Super short handed. It is at the Carnival cruise style. No dance host, no queens room Hostess, no professional dancer exhibition, etc. will not recommend for this price (we are Diamond on Cunard, not a newbie)
Great video and "Lisa" is just lovely.
Thanks Bernadette, yes she is and Lisa says thank you very much. Glad you liked the video, one day I might put another cruise video up when I get the time to edit it - I have a few unedited videos from past years that I might put on CZcams but for obvious reasons new cruising videos are a long way off I think.
"It's not often you see a moat and a goat at the same time..." 😄 charming video!
Yes that goat is probably still there wondering why so few people are going past now ( 2021 March )
I agree, very entertaining video. Enjoyed the humour! Excellent video quality. Hope to see more.
Hi Leon , thank you very much ! Always makes my day when someone says they like this video.
This is one of the best amateur travel videos I've ever seen. The photographer and his wife are what most tourist couples would like to be but seldom are.
Thank you very much for that comment! It got me out of bed to write a reply I was so amazed. Glad you liked the video.
The coverage of the Queen Victoria and your experiences at the various ports is truly appreciated. The journey has inspired us to follow in your footsteps. With gratitude.
Thank you very much. I am not sure when cruising will return but when it does I can recommend the Queen Victoria
Great video , really enjoyed it 😊

Fantastic , thank you for taking the time to comment and glad you liked the video. Must do another one soon.
Thanks for the video. The HD quality is unreal!!! Beautiful scenery and I enjoyed your commentary.
Thank you very much. The camera is amazing I agree.

Fantastic presentation thank you for all your hard work putting this together 😀
Thanks Joanne, glad you liked it. One of these days I'll do a few more.
What a lovely video - - thank you so much for posting this! Cheers.
Thank you for taking the time to view it and to write a nice comment.
Excellently shot video, very interesting and I loved seeing the interior of the ship.
Appreciate the detail and narration, well done indeed.
Thanks Monty , glad you like it. Have you seen my Hong Kong 2016
czcams.com/video/eZAto25Mbk4/video.html - HK is a great place to visit
I was about to comment about the picture quality being outstanding, i looked up the camera! Wow! That explains it! Nice video!
It is very impressive!
Great to watch😎
Thanks Christopher! Glad you enjoyed it. One of these days I might get around to doing another one.
Thanks for sharing this ive got to say I really enjoyed going around with you . well done such a nice relaxing easy going video .
Thank you very much. I glad you enjoyed it. It always makes my day when someone takes the time to say they enjoyed a video I have made.
Enjoyed the video, excellent quality, great comments!
Looking forward to seven days on the Queen Victoria from September 17.
Only hope my pictorial memories are as good as yours.
Hi David, I am sure you'll love it. The ship is one of my favorites
Wow absolutely brilliant video loved it and your narration thanks ever so much for sharing 👌👌👍
Thanks a lot, always makes my day. Shame no-one is going anywhere now (2021 March)
Great travel video! I really liked the narration, and the picture quality is sublime.
+Matt C Thanks that made my day ! I have a lot of cruise videos so I am thinking of putting more up as people seem to like them.
Just finished watching your video found it very interesting and entertaining , we are going on the Victoria in a few weeks so thanks for the insight .
Great glad you liked it ! You should love the ship. We are going again shortly too.
An excellent video - outstanding picture quality
Thank you very much!
Thoroughly enjoyable video + i loved the narration;)
+Marko Horvat Thank you ! That made my day ! I will put up some more videos in the following months. Maybe you'll enjoy them too. Thank you again.
Loved your video. Thanks for posting it.
Shirley Smith it always makes my day when someone likes a video I have done, thank you for saying so.
Thank you that was great :) I am going this September so I found it very informative. Im traveling solo so you have eased my fears somewhat.
As I always say, glad you liked it! - We are going in September too ! Might see us, well my wife, around.

Absolutely ..... commission well earned I'd say.
Nice video, great taste of what to expect. Audio sometimes overwhelms the commentary, but I like the unpretentious commentary and we didn't have to suffer someone who fancies themselves in front of the camera. Well done.
Great job. Love the video! 📹

Good video me and my wife are going on the victoria this tue 3 nov, never cruised cunard before your video gave us good insight to the victoria thankyou for sharing

Hi Eric, thanks for the those great comments. Yes my wife is lovely and charming and I will tell her now :) Never been to South Africa but I work with someone who was born there and he says it is a beautiful place.
good commentary , straight forward thanks
Glad you liked it!
I'll be on board for two weeks from the 30th July. Really looking forward to it. Thanks for posting the video.
Thanks I am glad you liked it. We are going in September again. Not sure how to do another video of almost the same trip and make it interesting but maybe will include more interior shots.
good idea
Awesome video. My wife and I really appreciate the time you took filming this. Excellent quality, too. We are taking our dream Mediterranean cruise on the Queen Victoria in Oct. For the most part the same route you and your wife explored. We're sooooo excited and you gave us something to look forward to. Thanks again!
Hi David ! wow , glad you and your wife liked the video. I know you'll love your cruise in October.
It shows what culture Europe has.
Yes there is a lot to see in Europe
You are right. Other ships are too crowded during summer time but we have a 7 yr old so we prefer all the busy kids club but maybe when he is older we will go fir cunard
+g moday Yes having young children means Cunard are not the best option.
+ourtvchannel but we will def go on the cunard oneday. The sony def gave justice to the amazing scenery
great video
+nially1912 Thanks ! Glad you liked it.
I want to on a Cunards Queen SO BAD!!!
Nice video love cunard i go on queen elizabeth on 21st October
⭐️EXCELLENT CINEMATOGRAPHY , EDITING & OBJECTIVE & HUMOROUS WHITTY 😃COMMENTARY OF INTERESTING SIGHTS & SHIPS FEATURES 👍⚠️
Please advise if you have additional post of other trips which I would enjoy viewing your additional videos !
As a Voice Over, I can tell you, you have a voice that could earn money
Hi Nicole ! Thank you so much. That made my day!
+Travels with Bruce I will give it a go in 2017. Thank you
+ourtvchannel video is spectacularly filmed. Thank you for the insight into Cunard
+ourtvchannel I'm so impressed it's my third time watching this. I find cruising videos very uplifting, and put you in the frame of mind ready for your next
Good times!
Yes you never know how lucky you are until something like this comes along. I doubt there will be many cruises next year sadly.
@@ourtvchannel yes indeed, this year has shown us how lucky we are and we shouldn’t take everything for granted. Cruising is not looking too good.
@@ourtvchannel true, vaccine will be the key factor for those who wish to go on these cruises as you stated there many ports.
..........I love your comment on the food "Funny"
Thanks ! The food is wonderful
Your video was extremely useful and interesting and we wondered if you cruise a lot?
Love the narration. Sublime melancholy voice.
Thank you ! I will treasure that comment and remind my wife how lucky she is to be able to hear me everyday
+ourtvchannel Thank you very much for your response, it's very useful.
As per most of the comments - I enjoyed your video - and really appreciated the depth you went too - am most interested in what you thought of the inside cabin though?
Also, what video camera would you recommend - has the sony you used been updated? It gave very great clarity.
Kind Regards,
Gary (Australia)
One last question - it looked like the ship berthed within walking distance of each port? Thank you again.
Yes I am sure you'll enjoy it.
Nice video.. We just got back from princess cruise and enjoyed it. We are from USA and thinking about European cruise. We were able to rent Tux's at princess can you do that on Queen Victoria? I'd hate to have to carry extra clothes..
+KnapDad Glad you liked the video ! - I have never rented a Tux but I'd be shocked if you couldn't - I suggest you contact Cunard direct and see if there is anyway to advance book your size just in case.
saw the Queen Victoria huge monster ship in Rhodes july 2017...
it was just huge....
Yes but there are a lot larger cruise liners, Royal Caribbean cruise ships are often double the tonnage
I have a brief appearance in that one -
czcams.com/video/eZAto25Mbk4/video.html
Anymore videos? Loved this one
Thank you ! Yes try this one czcams.com/video/eZAto25Mbk4/video.html
I just like hearing you talk. The ship is nice and all, but you have a voice like velvet.
+Natalie Bell Thanks Natalie I love that comment.
It's my dream to sail round the world with Cunard. Firstly, thanks for doing this! Cunard's promotional material is in terrible quality, and this was superb. Secondly, I hope when I eventually do cruise with cunard, I'll meet people like you.
Thanks ! I am not sure I will ever do a world tour but I know you'll love a week or two.
Natalie Bell totally agree voice is so soothing and gentle 👌👍
As a professional voice over, I can tell you, you'd make a good living at it. Wanted to ask, as an inside cabin, were you prevented to use restaurants?
Wow ! thank you ! - no the inside cabins are not second class , you get everything the balcony clients get . I liked the inside room but my wife prefers a view. We went with an "outside" cabin this September and that was great. Good value and my wife liked it almost as much the balcony cabins.
As a professional voice over, I could put work your way. Have you cruised since? Was it stuck up on board Cunard? Did folk look down on you?
We are sailing on queen Elizabeth in 0ct this year. Is it a nice ship
We have been on all of them Victoria, Mary and Elizabeth. They are all great. The Queen Elisabeth and Victoria are almost identical. The Elisabeth is my favorite ship, just because it is a bit newer.
Did u use a monopad? Really steady hands
+ourtvchannel really good quality of your videos. Im looking at lumix as the sony is out of our budget. Nice narration too
+g moday I had a GH4 for a few weeks but it's focus speed made it difficult to film the sort of videos I do.
Just FYI - Villefranche is 10 km SW from Monte Carlo and cannot be seen from Monte Carlo.
Thanks for the info
you know you should think about what i said maybe doing video's where you read and review books if you ever do please let me know really would love that and by all the comments about your voice i really think others would love it thank you
What were your conclusions regarding balcony compared to inside stateroom?
+Joe Ingram Thanks, I am sure you'll love it. We are going again, same time.
+ourtvchannel
I wonder if it would be possible to give an idea of what a
couple should budget for in terms of shore excursions and the occasional
speciality on board restaurant, I know this is one of those how long is a piece
of string questions but any guidance would be helpful. We prefer to explore by
ourselves; rather than organised tours but walking long distances can be a
challenge, particularly if hills are involved. It would be good to get busses
from the ship to a point of interest then go it alone so to speak.
+Joe Ingram In terms of budget I would think along these lines:-
Speciality restaurants vary in how they charge, but The Verandah on Queen Victoria charges a straightforward 29 USD cover charge per person for a 3 course dinner.
- Lisa
Could we have the name of the town visited before Venice?.
Kotor, Montenegro - sorry for the late reply!
Do you mind me asking the cost?
No sub-titles
I could NOT understand what was being said with crowd noise interfering 😡
Where are all the people? Very quiet cruise imo.
Good question, most Cunard cruises are like this and it's why we like them. You do see the people around but it's never busy. Cunard have less passengers for the size of the ship compared to other cruise lines.
Are you still cruising? Not seen anything new
Still cruising but haven't filmed anything recently which is a shame. I will look at some of my older videos which I haven't put up. With a bit of editing they might be interesting. Thanks for asking.
i really want to wear texudo and go to dinner, having my dinner with clasical music just like titanic, but i dont think this is happening in any ships
You should try the Cunard Queen Mary - that is nothing like any cruise ship. It's as close to the Titanic you'll get but without the nasty ending
The ship looked empty & kind of spooky
Yes one of the reasons we like Cunard. Over 2000 passengers on that ship and you and I can both see no crowds. That is definitely not true of all Cruise lines.
Some amazing video views and vistas...too bad the audio was so fucked-up I couldn't hear much of anything.
Interesting video. It`s a shame the voice-over can`t be heard. Maybe try captions next time.
Sussex Flyer odd you can't hear the voice over if you check out the comments here you'll see it might be you that has the problem.
It’s not a “boat”. It is a “ship”.
Well I will remember that next time
It's not a boat, it's a ship
Snuggy 61 thanks
an excellent video ruined by two seconds @11:30.
the golden arches.
really?
you need to have a word with your video editor.
At the start of the video you refer to the Queen Victoria as a "Cunard Boat"? She's a ship! old chap.
Hey less of the old, I'll call it a ship for the next video, but I doubt you were confused , boat / ship , not that ambiguous.
*SHIP not ‘boat’ 😂
i agree
I wish sometimes you pass by a mirror so we can see where that poshy voice is coming from..... lol
I am sure it would be disappointing if I did.
cunard does not look to have changed much on the interior from the 40s and 50s compared to other cruise line companies still have ball room type dancing this kind of cruise would be no good to me the décor has not changed all that much why is this why have cunard kept with the old style cruise ships even the queen Elizabeth doesn't look to be all that modern either this is what I don't understand when you look at other cruise lines who are not as famous as cunard
Well first it's a cruise, second I don't think "Queen Elizabeth" does appear in the title - "Queen Victoria" yes.
I haven't cruised for about 4 years but sad if it's not as good as it was. We have done about 25 cruises and always found Cunard were the best.
Stop calling a “Ship” a boat.....
ok thanks for that
