Very nice video! Those Pratt & Whitney R-985 radial engines sound great! Great job on its restoration. My father flew AT-11 Kansans out of MacDill Field in Tampa, Florida in 1944 and he loved that airplane. The AT-11's he flew were used as bomber crew trainers where they would drop sand bags as a simulated bomb load over the Gulf of Mexico. My father was a Second Lieutenant in the USAAF during WWII. He was an instructor pilot in B-17 Flying Fortresses, B-24 Liberators and Martin B-26 Marauders at MacDill.

My father also flew the At-11. He was at San Angelo, Texas, a training base for the bombardiers

I thought I knew aircraft in the sky. Never heard or seen this plane before.

It is basically a Beech 18 aircraft. Most of the world war bomber pilots started their training on these aircraft. I have a sister video of this "Inside the AT-11.

hadn't heard of this one before or what role it played presumably as a trainer, though after the war there must have been enough surplus aircraft around that small trainers weren't needed.

Yes, it was a trainer for the flight crews. In fact, it was the first aircraft equipped with the Norden bomb sight. Basically it is a Beach 18. I also have a video on You Tube "Inside the AT-11." The last I knew, the aircraft is now located in Tennessee.

Not nearly as much oily exhaust on startup as the Connies! Good job!

I don't know if you have seen this or not but I found some other footage of the interior of the AT-11. Here is the link. czcams.com/video/pJxpoApV1eY/video.html
I also have some footage of FIFI that I hope to get on You Tube over this winter.
