- With The Batman upon us, I wanted to revisit the classics with a recap of every live action Batman film since 1989! This will also be good prep for The Flash later this year, where at least two of these Batmen are set to appear (Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck).

Every time I watch Batman Begins the more I love it. Still Dark Knight is my favorite but Begins... its getting there. Thank you for the recap. You got yourself a new sub. Would love to see long recaps like this for other movie franchises.
i still suspect that nolan and goyer's initial inspiration for that was a lone delivered by jack nicholson in the 89 film; 'where does he get those wonderful toys?'

My favorite are “The Batman begins” and “The Dark Knight”. It’s unfortunate that Ledger overdosed, he would have made a great enemy if he didn’t die. Unless the movies were gonna be canceled either way.
Nolan's TDK movies were always intended as a trilogy its the reason why bale and nolan refused to return for a dark knight 4 also ledger was the main villain in tdk film so i don't know what u mean by:

what do u mean? it was always intended to be 3 films since day 1 after the success of batman begins. now if heath wanted to be in more movies he would've reprised his role as joker for the animated film Batman: Gotham Knight which is a loose tie in between batman begins and the dark knight but that never happend and Nolan never acknowledge the animated film anyway. it pretty much got decanonized since nolan dismissed the events from that animated film, so it wouldn't matter anyway and if nolan wanted to do more we've would had abunch of spinoffs and extended cuts that would've leave room for future sequels. however their was a rumor that heath was gonna have a cameo in TDKR but since he died they removed all references of heath's joker to honor him but there was never gonna be more then 3 for tdk films either way.

Looking at Clooney's creation, one gets the impression that it is not Bruce Wayne who is under the Batman costume, but Clooney.
In batman returns did anyone else notice that when batman before he took off his cowl his eyes had the black paint and has, he took it off and showed he face the paint suddenly disappeared.

Thank you! Unfortunately, it's unlikely I can do another one like this in the DC-space. WB has gotten VERY aggressive with copyright claims. I actually tried to upload a new version of this video to include "The Batman" and they were fine with "The Batman" footage, but it was near impossible to upload any footage at all for previous movies. Sadly, that means no Superman recap. But, there are definitely more timeline/recap videos in the works (next up is probably Alien/Predator and maybe X-Men after that + always open to suggestion!)
This deserves more likes. Batman is by far my favorite superhero.

At 4:32 isn't kind of a coincidence how the first Joker in this movie talks to Bob who has scars going across his face pretty much starting from the end of his lip and at 5:21 you can really see Bob's facial scars. And now-how today's modern joker has scars going across his face from the end of his lips 🤔.... Just something that popped out to me.

I honestly enjoyed Val Kilmer as Batman/Bruce Wayne and, yes, I enjoyed George Clooney as Batman/Bruce Wayne. Batman Forever and Batman and Robin were very near and dear to me during my childhood and are very nostalgic everytime I watch them. I still love them just as much as I did as a 9 year old, twenty years ago

And OF COURSE, the Nolan trilogy is the absolute BEST Batman trilogy ever made. Those are by far my favorite Batman movies and likely always will be. It's been several years since I've seen the Michael Keaton Batmans but from what I remember, and the recap from watching this video, they are good too, just not my favorites. I did not like "Batfleck" all that much nor did I get into BvS or The Justice League films. And I've yet to see the new "The Batman" film with R. Pattinson as Batman/Bruce Wayne but it looks quite good. What are your most liked and disliked Batman films? I'd love to hear your opinions

Val Kilmer looked the most Batmany in the suit out of all the actors to ever play the role. Maybe it’s bc he was my first ever live action Batman but to me he always looked the best in the suit as you can’t immediately tell it’s him in the suit while with every other actor you can still tell it’s them in the mask
