Ād (Arabic: عَادٌ, Arab people ʿĀd) was an ancient tribe mentioned frequently in the Qurʾan.
ʿĀd is usually placed in Southern Arabia, in a location referred to as al-ʾAḥqāf ("the Sandy Plains," or "the Wind-curved Sand-hills"). The tribe's members, referred to as ʿĀdites, formed a prosperous nation until they were destroyed in a violent storm. According to Islamic tradition, the storm came after they had rejected the teachings of a Monotheistic prophet named Hud. ʿĀd is regarded as one of the original Arab tribes, the "lost Arabs". Their capital may have been what is known as "Iram of the Pillars" in the Qurʾan although that may have been the name of a region or a people.

Sayyiduna Anas (radiyallahu’anhu) reports that Rasulullah (saallahu’alayhi wasallam) said:
‘’When a person asks for Jannah from Allah thrice, Jannah pleads: O Allah, admit him into Jannah. And when one seeks refuge against Jahannam thrice, Jahannam itself pleads: O Allah save him from Jahannam.’’

There are different levels of hierarchy when it comes to prophets. There are messengers and then there are the prophets.

I remember when I was still new to Islam back in 1987, I read a very interesting article. It was a collaboration report by NASA and US top archeologists. Apparently, NASA coordinated with these top archeologists and they in turn coordinated and collaborated with British archeologists as well (As you may know, Britain and the America were both political allies and helped them unite the kingdom which we now know as KSA. They asked permission from the Saudi government if they could excavate the area. The Saudi government refused. After that, The King of Saudi Arabia ordered that the area be fenced with tight security. Until this day this area is heavily guarded like Area 51. Anybody who comes near its proximity will be shot.
I forgot the long article altogether but the jist of the report which I will never forget was that NASA reported that they detected humongous pillar- like structures in 'Rubh-Al Khali' - better known as 'The Empty Quarter' in Saudi Arabia - NASA was certain and confirmed that they were pillars of gigantic proportion and they were of metal close to gold in its material according to the readings of their satellite. However, they were having second thoughts on their report because these pillars are so many (thousands of them) and that the dimensions of its structure cannot be attributed to normal size human beings on top of being gold in material.
