  • An old elegant lady is shopping in a supermarket. In her face, not even a trace of tiredness or anger, just a suspiciousness of the routine shopper. It seems that the old lady really takes her time doing her shopping and it is like a pleasant free time activity, a ritual.

This was a well thought out short film. I enjoyed the audio composition and the visual scenery. Also, the woman's patient focus while shopping and the cashier's flippant attitude toward her; and then the way she acknowledged her as she was walking out...

I know you commented a year ago, but I just stumbled upon this video and saw your comment. I thought it was funny so I thought I would reply haha. I think it's about an elderly woman who lives in poverty, and can't afford to do the grocery shopping - a task most of us would see as a chore and boring. For her, it is a luxury, hence why she really takes her time to purchase the items she wishes she could have. She crunches the bread and has the tasters that are offered, something that most of us don't have time to do in day-to-day life. But this is another point, I believe, that the film is trying to make. Not only are groceries a luxury the woman cannot afford, but so is time. She is older, and therefore values time much more than most of us do, just as she values the grocery shopping. I don't know, this is just my hot take on it, haha.
