So this is less of a trick and more of something to think about. I see a lot of people getting into jumps and tricks without the proper foundation skills and this is a big one. Landing toe-side. Its a big part of being able to make quick decisions whilst on the water and something that will increase to landing average almost double. Being confident in both stances with the ability to land in toe-side in both directions is a key step to progression...
Please let me know in the comments if you have any questions or you would like any details on another area of a trick!?

One among the best videos “tips” you’ve made!! I would have land so many tricks if I had this idea brotha! Thanx👌🏼🙏🏼
cheers man, yes it is definitely relevant once you get to a certain skill level!!
tom court 🤝🤝
Nice video, keep it up 🤟🤟
cheers man!! 👍✌️
Hey Tom, love the vids! Don't know if this is making something out of nothing but there could be a video in different hand positions when jumping/doing tricks for stability. Supine vs two fingers either side vs 1-3 etc. Also maybe a video on hand positions for waterstarting one handed so you can return someones board? Cheers
yes good idea... for me my hands are always in the middle of the bar mostly... putting fingers either side of the centre line is typical during one handed tricks!
From the big guy... not fat just big boned. Nice vid bud.
😂😂
Hi Tom!
First of all thank you for your great videos on CZcams!
Please give me an advice:
My level is double front roll, dark slide... classic old school.
I am 95 kg.
Most of the time I fly 15 (12)m² Rebel, hard bar set up. 24m Lines.
Can you recommend me a SHORT click bar ??
Best regards
Alex
hey man, yes I would recommend the small click bar, but it does come with 22m line that are a bit shorter... that will make a difference, but personally I prefer it at 95kg's too
Watts about using the short click bar with (+2 m extensions =) 24 m lines
@@alexandermerian2232 you can do that, but the lines are 20m on the small click bar, so you have to then have x2 extensions... for sure the smaller bar is better though
Is the landing really toeside? I see weight on the heelside...
yes there is weight directly over the board. the theory is that you can always be ready to land in a difference stance to the take off... this is still technically toe-side...
tom court ok cool, than I have a lot more tricks 😉
@@KITEFORUMcom too many mate ;)
More commonly known as 'switch'. Calling it toeside can be confusing and other sports also call it switch .
@@CR_liml its not always that simple in kiting, toe side gives reference regardless of your tack and kite position... switch and regular is a concept more common in traditional board sports as you don't have tacks... i.e. if I am regular stance, then my switch is goofy... but that doesn't take into account which way you are sailing...
