@@embodme it's my first time moving from hardware synths to software. I snagged pigments on sale the other day and can't wait to get my erae and load up the pigment explorer layout!
@@AbyssalReverberations you will NOT be disappointed - as someone new to software synths I want to caution you to make sure you pay close attention to what VSTs support MIDI MPE, and also what DAWs - I use Presonus Studio One for tracking, Camelot for live performance and sometimes Tracktion, and Bitwig (which is sort of a crazy modular synth and DAW in one) seems to have decent MPE support

I am still deciding on a DAW based on workflows. Currently, I am using FL studio as I had snagged a license several years ago (didn't use it, but free lifetime updates was the selling point haha) and it does support MPE.
Just need the Erae in hand so I can begin digging into it in earnest :)
@@AbyssalReverberations I love FLstudio more than any other DAW (and I've used them all) and it most assuredly does not support MPE... though it's not like it won't respond at all, but if you plan on editing anything ever it will ... yeah.. FL's piano roll blows everything else away, and I'd use solely FL if I could. According to a friend on KVR from May 20 of this year "Talked to the FL guys at Superbooth about this. They were very adamant that MPE will not be included in FL Studio 21 or any future update. Instead, they are directly going for MIDI 2.0." so.... since Erae Touch uses MIDI 2.0 internally, hopefully someday soon
I got a touch.. I loaded the template for uploading to the touch... that worked. now in vital I assigned midi to macro 2 and 3 (X for 2) (Y for 3) and I get most of the template not producing any sounds. Some work but they don't have all the actions you get on your video. I'm not sure where to start to resolve this. I'm using Cubase 12 pro
I order mine a few months agoâŠso..while we are not together..i wish ypu will explore possibilities to connect with ipad!âŠit has a dow- AUM..and a lot MPE synth..( i name some- Mogg Z..for example..so please look towards ios!âŠand make some layouts for that!..AniMoogZ, Model D, Korg module....Beatsurfing2!, SpringSound, Groovebox, FRMS, DrabâŠiFretletBass that all groing numbers of sound enginesâŠso it portable and opens a new world..i hope you see it!âŠi hope that i do make a right choice to dream play Erae Touch with IPad!
