Just found your channel. I love that your craft room is what I call shabby chic. It makes it so much more interesting and in my opinion, "artsy". The room shows your talent for adding items most overlook and you make it work very nicely. I wouldnt change the chicken wire if you like it. I think its so different and adds a touch of that farmhouse look that everyone wants.
I totally hear you. I started with the mindset this past summer. I always said why start if I can't finish and then nothing would get done. Yes!!! Something is always better than nothing!! I think I thought the same as you from listening to my mama always say “if you can’t do it with all your heart don’t do it” and I think we should do things with all our heart but definitely give ourselves grace and do what we can! I’m so glad you’re seeing progress!! I am too!!
Use your Door as a photo or inspiration board. I think you need to move your desk & put it out from the window at the other side of the room. Then Take your table in the middle of the room and place it on the end of your desk - where the TV is and make a L shaped desk. That area would be a U shape (you would be facing out into the room. You would only enter from the one side to get behind your desk. This Will give you more room and also, open up the room. Place your sewing machine on this table - Use the table it's on as storage under the table. Place your rolling carts under the window area. Take your dresser units and put where your desk is now. I'm looking for the basket labels myself. I can't find any either! I agree; shelves would be better - that way you can put in baskets or leave open. I also, suggest that all like items are all at one place. It looks like right now everything is all over. Like Paper - even if paper(s) take up one whole shelving unit, etc. Most of all you need to stop and think about what you use the most and place those items close to you or around your desk. I find that if I do one little area at a time, it works out best. Hope this helps. TFS - Crafty Hugs!
Oh wow!! I actually love these ideas! I may actually see how that works?! I did have the desk in front of the window ar one time but it was more in the center of the room facing the window and there weren’t enough plug ins on that wall for me to use all the things there. I have to plug the filming lights up as well so I will have to see if they would be able to be moved. Do you mean I would enter to sit at the desk from the door I started filming at or the other one? Thank you for sharing. The struggle is real....... It is always so hard to decide. I actually think you've gotten a good start in identifying the things you love, And what you hate about your craft area. I too like being able To Hear what my family is doing and being able to interact with them. Taking thing in small steps is definitely Less stressful , And I have also found Taking everything out of an area And then trying sort through it, I usually end up with a bigger mess... 1 of the things that I have discovered , is that I'm very visual And putting things into boxes with labels usually does not work for me... I love your chicken wire!.
Get the door down and put glass over the chicken wire and use it for your door to your room? I love my door with glass. I can see out but I can do videos and watch TV and stuff.

In our last house I took the contractor grade door off the pantry in the kitchen and put a new ( stained it vintage added iron ball latch) screen door. Then I put rods on the inside top n bottom and took an old lace tablecloth and put a hem top n bottom . Put it tight on the inside. Oh man was it gorgeous! Good luck!

We have the same problem lol. I get so overwhelmed trying to organize my she shed. Most of my “stuff” is Stampin’ Up! & I am a demonstrator. I get overwhelmed trying to decide whether to keep it all together or to keep the current separate. I have been “collecting” for over 22 years & can’t part with any of it so u can imagine the predicament I am in! Good Luck with your space & I can’t wait to see your progress! Hi!! I don’t know if I have my video up from a couple years ago still or not but I was very real and it was so embarrassing how messy my spare places really were! I PROMISE if you take even one shoe box at a time you will begin to see a difference and not be as overwhelmed! I did ALOT of praying over the last few months because it was very overwhelming to me! I shared an update earlier today! All that to say I’m rooting for you! Lol! ☺️
