I call Byredo's Gypsy Water, Bal D'Afrique and Mojave Ghost the classy and clean skin trifecta.
I couldn't agree with you more on 51 parfum! So glad you got a chance to really try it out. :) It is serious understated elegance and it was my favorite by far from the essence line as well.
I LOVE Clean Reserve Skin. I even wear it when Iâm not going out because I love to smell it so much it came in one of those sample kits from Sephora & I immediately bought the large bottle and the travel one!
Love ylang ylang too and âthis is not a blue bottle 1.2â is such a spring happy modern perfume, love it!
I can't believe how much we have in common in terms of fragrances that we 'connect with' and love. I was stunned to find that 'This is Not a Blue Bottle 1.2' was love at first sniff for me. I'm mindful of when I wear it though. I'm truly mildly stunned and thrilled to have discovered our connection, and indeed this channel in general. We must be kindred spirits in the language of fragrance, which means other oddball things that are difficult to identify or explain must also link us in some way. Double thumbs up, much joy. đ

You are so refreshing and I love how complimentary you are to other women! Beautiful women acknowledging other beauties makes me smile! I love Histoires 2.1 and just ordered a full bottle. It is a shape shifter as well. It keeps changing from initial spray to dry down and itâs great to layer as well

Have you tried The Harmonist Moon Glory? Itâs notes are so unique and I immediately had to order a full bottle after the first spray. The ylang-ylang, litchi, honey, Passion flower and woody base notes are perfection. Itâs feminine and sweet with enough wordiness to prevent it from being too girly or gourmand. True perfection.

My collection was the same way a couple of months ago, and I had to pick up some spring/summer scents, lol!! Girl, I got to get my nose on gypsy water, the way you described it I was like ok, this may be a NEED!! I recently picked up La Tulipe and OMG I was blown away by that one!! And you are so right nobody talks about not a blue bottle 1.2, I picked it up last summer when a fragrance CZcamsr Natalie Davis made a video about it, and I was not disappointed, so unique!!đLoved the list!!â€ïž
So true! Not a blue bottle 1.2 is fabulous but they never mention it! First niche fragrance I bought in a boutique in Paris and is still the best for me!

Fleur narcotique and GV smell totally different imo but both are gorgeous. I have both and I adore them.
I bought the Clean Skin travel spray because of you, and itâs such a wonderful scent! Need a full bottle since itâs one of those to wear anytime. I have the 51 Essence, and it is definitely an expensive smelling perfume-the way all the notes are blended is sublime. Makes me happy and the essence lasts quite well on me, and not as pricey. Have you tried Roja Dove Sweetie Aoud? If not, itâs is an experience you might really enjoy.

what do you think of Ralph Lauren Romance? That was my signature scent as a teenager and, i havent smelled it in so long. Im tempted to get it because i remember loving it but, maybe it was just my immature teenage nose at the time.

thank you! â€ïž It's a little too heavy for me! The ylang ylang myrrh combo is stunningg but feels a bit too much for me to wear (that creamy dense sweetness can get to me haha). You smell fabulous though ;)
I own Fleur Narcotique by Ex Nihilo, and WOW is it captivating! It's so beautiful!!! My only gripe with it is that it doesn't last well on me at all, even with overspraying. Though I have that problem with 99.9% of fragrances, to be fair.

I need gypsy water in my life. It sounds right up my alley. I wish they werenât so pricey but it seems like itâs totally worth the splurge.
I recommend Tocca Colette as an amazing alternative! Not as pricey, just a bit sweeter but similar note structure and personally I like it betterâŠboth fragrances on my skin at least just donât have much lasting power.

Totally agree with Clean Reserve fragrances. They are all my go to. I don't like loud scents so this is perfect. Great review overall.
I hear that they donât last all the time. I have radiant nectar, skin and rain. They all last on me, especially on my clothes. I have a jacket that I sprayed 2 days ago with skin and i can smell it. I think they just become skin scents quickly and donât have a strong sillage.

Have you tried Mlle CrĂ©me or Poudre by Capsule Parfumerie? Amazing creamy, dreamy, abstract gourmands from an indie house with a female perfumer. Squad is also really cool - soju, leather, sandalwood - smells like a night out in the city. I'm so impressed by how versatile Linda is as a perfumer - some of her lines are all natural, others use synthetics, and they're all vegan and clean but not boring at all. Would love to hear your thoughts. They have spray samples on their site for a very reasonable price. Thanks! â€

Great video! Iâm back into fragrance after taking some years off and just using what I have. Iâve tried some of your recommendations and have had great success with them!! Iâm curious how you are able to sample so many perfumes while also getting to wear the ones you know and love. Would you share your process or tips?
Iâm so glad!! â€ïž I use the fragrances from my collection on the days that I work (4 days a week) or days thereâs some occasion, event, somewhere to go, etc. And I will test out multiple samples a day the other 3 days :) When testing, I use Aquaphor on my wrists as a base. I find it much easier to take off a fragrance this way using an unscented bar of soap as opposed to lotion or nothing as a base because the fragrance doesnât sink into the skin in the same way. I have found that this really helps me test multiple a day without having a leftover scent from a previous fragrance. Although, if I use a powerhouse perfume, Iâll stop testing cause those usually need more time than just being scrubbed off to go away haha

This sounds pedantic but try Guess Seductive Red. It's like BR54O but fresh and cherry. It's got that open air thing that br540 has but its sweet and fruity. SO GOOD!!!

Ooooo, Iâm glad you like so much clean reserve skin, to me itâs so bad, very synthetic (I would like to know what ânatural ingredientsâ means to them) to me itâs like an insect spray that I used when I was in camp. We are so different when it comes to parfumĂ©s, itâs really interesting

Do you think there is a noticeable difference between the Clean Reserve Skin and their "Classic" Skin? On a paper strip they smell different to me and I can't decide which one is better đ€·ââ

Skin has been my bedtime scent for a few years and i love it! That blue bottle sounded really nice, gonna sample it. I sampled both fleur narcotique and Greenwich but didn't realized they are alike. I hated the Greenwich cause it gave that medicinal smell like br đ.
Skin is my next full bottle purchase.

Of all byredos Iâve tested gypsy is my favorite but at the moment Iâm off it. Re roja I donât care how beautiful they are - I am not paying that money period. I donât even want to try it.
Roja is feeling themselves a little too much for what theyâre charging, unless I find a good deal in the $100 range. They can keep them for all I care.

I really wish byredo would consider changing the name of said fragrance seeing how it originates from a racial slur, because I have smelled it and understand the beauty of the actual juice.
G water was the first niche perfume that I purchased, Iâm still so so in love with this one. The only thing I regret is buying 50ml đ„Čđ„č
