Reflashing and overwriting an Engine Ecu on a Nissan 2.0 DCI M9R Using ThinkTool ThinkCar Max Tool

- In the video you'll see me using the all new ThinkTool ThinkCar Max to overwrite and Engine ECU with the same Software Version to rid the Software of any remap files that could be hiding faults.
This cannot be performed by the Nissan Dealer Diagnostic Tool.

How come it went none start. Just out of interest?
Hello Sir hope you can help me I have 2012 2.0 tdi the hpfp blew up we changed everything but aftermarket injectors in it. I have a vcds computer and it says #2 injector is open. This being said the car will not start and throws a low rail pressure code. Will the injector being open cause it not to have rail pressure. Thanks for your comment

Great video something I’ve never seen done and it’s unlikely that I will ever do myself. No chance of doing this sort of work without a battery maintainer those fans pulling 47 amps wow. How did the road test go ??
Still has the issue but as I had no background on the fault I had to ensure the software was good, hence the overwrite.
This car is work in progress so stay tuned there may be more to come….

Awesome video Gary literally looking at getting a thinkcar or top don to program Nissans , what model thinkcar is that please mate ?? Been told that thinkcar sell the software to topdon but they don’t have the same capability. You heard this on your research ??

Correct Topdon are not much more than a rebranding company,
@@alexgillbanks1943 are you saying they have the exact same capability and programming, i can’t see why they would use different software and servers.
@@grantwatkins7402 no they have held certain functions back for the Thinkcar tools particularly on Ford as they want them to be the premium brand. For example on our best seller we have online programming where the Topdon version you need to spend another £600ish to get the equivalent functions.

It’s not a clone, it’s based on the Launch platform but has added functionality

Not every viewer wants to see the faults. You’ll be surprised how many comments & questions I get about the tools used.
So just because there’s no value for You it does not necessarily mean there’s no value to others.
Nice to see a demonstration on the think cars other functions and that they work. I have been considering one. I was told recently that security gate way access (ie already paid for) is included in the tool. Are you able to confirm this? I dont always believe saleman. Great content on your channel.
@@adamking6419 yes the tool is good to go on late model Jeep, Chrysler, Fiat & Mercedes equipped with the secure gateway.
