The Amendments: The Constitution (Seventh Amendment) Act, 1956 | 21 May, 2023

In this edition we will take a closer look at the Constitution (Seventh Amendment) Act, 1956, that restructured the Constitutional framework for India's existing states and paved the way to pass the States Reorganisation Act, 1956 under the provisions of the Constitution of India.
Although boundaries of Indian States have been changed since 1956, the States Reorganisation Act of 1956 remains the most extensive change in state boundaries after India’s Independence.

There is a correction @ 12.04. Andhra Pradesh state was formed in 1953 not 1956
