Renee Glenn I pray you have it according to the three witnesses provided by Abba Yahuah in Genesis 1:14-16 and Ezekiel 46:1. If one chooses to go by the Laws of the Jews, not one jot or tittle shall pass until all is fulfilled. When is the new moon? Is it full or when it’s waxing crescent? What do all religions worship? The crescent moon. Have you confirmed with Yahuah when the true new moon day is? We are the temple of Yah and contain the spirit inside us that rests always. There is no rest outside Yeshua. I pray you ask Yah Jeremiah 33:3 and Psalm 25:4-5 daily and lean not on man/Jews laws but Mark 12:29-31. Halleluyah and shalom

It amazes me that Christians argue so vociferously against the Sabbath. The Sabbath was given by God to us so we can relax. God is giving us permission to sit on our butts for a whole day! It gives us time away from work, enables us to spend time with our families, and gives our bodies and minds a physical and mental rest. Who in their right mind would argue against that?!

How is this teaching giving you more light to walk in obedience to the Lord ? You already knew that you cannot do your work/ business on the sabbath. He just told you that you are allowed to play monopoly , do things that are not related to God because that's not what Isaiah is referring to, which is a partial truth because the Torah teaches you to have a holy convocation on the sabbath when you are spending time in the Word of God, learning from the Word , reading it, having a closer relation with God. That is the whole point for the Sabbath . That is why every Sabbath Jesus was going to the synagogue , Paul was going to the synagogue, because they had a holy convocation and fellowship, reading the Word of God and getting closer and closer to the Lord . Don't tell me playing Monopoly or playing Soccer gets you closer to God. Come on, you have any other day for that. Have a little respect to the Almighty and use your wisdom to find the truth. Test everything

Now it happened that some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather, but they found none. And the Lord said to Moses, “How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws? See! For the Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore He gives you on the sixth day bread for two days. Let every man remain in his place; let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.” So the people rested on the seventh day.
    Exodus 16:27‭-‬30 NKJV
I don't see anyone profiting while going to gather manna. Then Abba was disappointed and commanded to the people to stay in their house because he knew they would go into their own ways. We do see Torah being read on the Sabbath though. So I think this lesson is leaving out a lot. If you are not going out trying to further the kingdom by being a light in darkness you probably shouldn't be going out. We have other days to play with our pets and to play games. This should truly be a day of teaching, learning, resting, and worship. Where is the joyful noise of praise? where is the lifting up of his name? Lets not forget the Israelites sung songs to Ahayah to invoke his spirit to move. The faith is getting dulled down by know it alls and do it less'. Let us get back to the ancient ways and worship Aba in truth and Ruach. He is waiting to inhabit the praise of his people. Shabbat Shalom Mashpakah!!!

It's not "no pleasure;" it is your pleasure. Isaiah 58:13-14. The pleasures we have in Yahweh are tremendous and even greater on Shabbat when we do not pursue any ol' pleasure the carnal man gives himself to. "Not doing thine own pleasure" and seeking Abba's face. It's about purity of heart and desire for relationship with our Father, King, Redeemer. Don't want any Matthew 7:23.

Like Wise The Sabbath The chapter ending
Must be seen in the same Context!
Don’t just have Religious form! It is The Holy Spirit filled life that has been set free by The Messiah Jesus who is truly at Eternal Rest!
Are you scurrying about in the shadows?
Or Living in His Glorious Light! Jesus Christ is The Substance! Hallelujah He is All in All. Behold The King!
He fed the hungry! Healed on The Sabbath
Touched the lepers! & The unclean!
He forgave & set free the sinners!
He Hated The Religious!!!! Full of forms and regulations, criticising others but Not willing to lift even a finger to help the others! Making converts like themselves very religious Not filled with The Holy Spirit

I tell you that whatever you do on the Sabbath Day should be the one day where we don't ever put our needs above another. (we should strive to live like this everyday) so what makes the Sabbath Day Holy is the Spirit in which you carry yourself, be mindful of your thoughts, be generous with family and neighbors.
Doing service work is never bad.
We certainly should not treat it as any other day, though we should be striving to basically live this way always. To get completely out of Babylon in mind body and spirit.

THE SABBATH WAS CREATED TO GIVE THE SOUL REST FROM THE EGO’S PLEASURE AND WORK.
THE SOUL’S PLEASURE IS WORSHIPPING THE LORD OUR GOD AND THAT IS ONLY POSSIBLE WHEN THE EGO IS SUBDUED.
PSALM 46:10- BE STILL, AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.
WHY GO BACKWARDS TO THE EARTHLY TORAH? - WHEN JESUS THE CHRIST HAS GIVEN YOU THE HEAVENLY TORAH OF LOVE. THE TORAH WAS CREATED TO HELP YOU NOT TO DESTROY YOU.
    MATTHEW 22
37 JESUS SAID TO HIM, “‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’
38 THIS IS THE FIRST AND GREAT COMMANDMENT.
39 AND THE SECOND IS LIKE IT: ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR AS YOURSELF.’
40 ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.”
    1 CORINTHIANS 13
2 IF I HAVE THE GIFT OF PROPHECY AND KNOW ALL MYSTERIES AND ALL KNOWLEDGE, ND IF I HAVE ALL FAITH SO AS TO REMOVE MOUNTAINS BUT HAVE NOT LOVE, I AM NOTHING.
3 IF I GIVE AWAY ALL THAT I OWN AND IF I HAND OVER MY BODY SO I MIGHT BOAST BUT HAVE NOT LOVE, - I GAIN NOTHING. MEANING THAT THE TORAH WITHOUT LOVE IS ZERO.
    EPHESIANS 2
8 FOR IT IS BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED THROUGH FAITH, AND THIS NOT FROM YOURSELVES; IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD,
9 NOT BY WORKS, SO THAT NO ONE CAN BOAST. {THE TORAH WAS INTRODUCED TO GET THE EGO -[MATERIAL INSTINCT] - UNDER CONTROL.} WHY DO YOU WANT GO BACK WARDS TO THE EARTHLY SABBATH WHEN YESHUA HAMASHIACH HAS GIVEN US THE HEAVENLY SABBATH? ANY TIME - ANY PLACE AT HOME IN A CARE HOME PRISON OR A HOSPITAL.
    JOHN 4:
23 YET A TIME IS COMING AND HAS NOW COME WHEN THE TRUE WORSHIPPERS WILL WORSHIP THE FATHER IN THE SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH, FOR THEY ARE THE KIND OF WORSHIPPERS THE FATHER SEEKS. 24 GOD IS SPIRIT, AND HIS WORSHIPPERS MUST WORSHIP IN THE SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH.”
    MATTHEW 18
20 FOR WHEREVER TWO OR THREE ARE ASSEMBLED IN MY NAME, “I AM” THERE WITH THEM.” THE SABBATH IS ONLY THE SABBATH WHEN THE LORD JESUS IS PRESENT. THE HEAVENLY SABBATH IS THE PRESENCE OF JESUS AND IS FOR THE SOUL TO ENTER ANY TIME ANY PLACE AND BE HEALED. IN HOSPITAL - AT HOME - IN A REST HOME OR IN CAPTIVITY
LUKE 17 20 WHEN ASKED BY THE PHARISEES WHEN THE KINGDOM OF GOD WOULD COME, JESUS REPLIED, “THE KINGDOM OF GOD WILL NOT COME WITH OBSERVABLE SIGNS. [FOR THE FLESHLY EGOS] THE EGO NEEDS THE TORAH AND THE SABBATH TO TRY AND FORCE ITS WAY BY WORKS INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.
    LUKE 13
24 “STRIVE TO ENTER THROUGH THE NARROW DOOR. FOR MANY, I TELL YOU, WILL SEEK TO ENTER AND WILL NOT BE ABLE. FOR OUT THE EARTHLY TIME OF THE EGO AND NOT OBSERVABLE BY EARTHLY INSTINCTS OF EARTHLY FLESH. THE HEAVENLY SABBATH IS FOR SOULS ONLY JOHN 5
16 NOW BECAUSE JESUS WAS DOING THESE THINGS ON THE SABBATH, THE JEWS BEGAN TO PERSECUTE HIM. 17 BUT JESUS ANSWERED THEM, “TO THIS VERY DAY MY FATHER IS AT HIS WORK, AND I TOO AM WORKING.” 18 BECAUSE OF THIS, THE JEWS TRIED ALL THE HARDER TO KILL HIM. NOT ONLY WAS HE BREAKING THE SABBATH, BUT HE WAS EVEN CALLING GOD HIS OWN FATHER, MAKING HIMSELF EQUAL WITH GOD.
YESHUA TRIED TO EDUCATE AND REASON WITH THEM PLACING THE SABBATH IN SPIRITUAL CONTEXT - BUT TO NO AVAIL.
SO I REPEAT - THE SABBATH WAS CREATED TO GIVE THE SOUL REST FROM THE EGO’S PLEASURE AND WORK.
THE SOUL’S PLEASURE IS WORSHIPPING THE LORD OUR GOD AND THAT IS ONLY POSSIBLE WHEN THE EGO IS SUBDUED.
PSALM 46:10- BE STILL, AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.

This is interesting. lsome folks at our synagogue view the previous example of no board games and things of that nature as the proper way of interpreting this.
When my wife and I first started keeping Shabbat with our family we likeed to go for hikes and for walks with our children.
but since we found a congregation to attend we haven't really done a lot of that simply because you know we're enjoying each other's fellowship.
but understanding the difference between in the translation of the word pleasure to mean business instead, that definitely fits the theme of keeping the Sabbath.
But now highlights another question to me is what is a holy convocation? Does it really mean an ingathering or are we not required to come together on some of these feast days and holy days?
119 ministries if you read this comment I have a question for you.
Would you or have you ever considered making a kosher food list. Going through all the popular brands to check for what's kosher especially in cheese's. the reason why I'm asking is because our family and many others who follow the ways of Yahweh encounter a lot of issues with the options for keeping the dietary instructions of our Elohim. not that it's difficult or burdensome just that the world we live in as I'm pretty sure you know very well does not care what they slap pig juices in. and it becomes depressing to find out that a food item that we may have enjoyed that does fit the instructions happens to have one ingredient that doesn't. I really hope there's some way of either you responding to this comment or possibly putting something on your website in regards to pursuing something along this nature thank you for all your services I really think that the scope of your ministry is very needed and necessary in the body of Messiah at this time and met our father and our King and our Messiah look favorably upon you and your family.

..it is interesting that at least four different versions of scripture and even Clarke's commentary are not viewed to have interpreted "pleasure" as the ESV does.
Since when has anyone ever really viewd their "business" as pleasure?
    It is 'work,..sweat and toil'!
Just as Moses prophesied in De9:12,..we have corrupted ourselves and continue to look to excuse ourselves from keeping our Father's 7th day uprightly.
There are any number of ways to observe that rest day without playing worldly games.

      Please READ:
      NEḤEMYAH (NEHEMIAH) 3-6:
      The Man Behind the Wall
Three days after arriving in Yerushaliam, NEḤEMYAH went on a secretive night excursion to evaluate the damage to the city walls and assess the possibility of repairing them. He traveled up and down the length of the wall, noting the areas that had been breached and the towers that had been burned. Although it was painful to see, the evaluation of the extent of the damage also gave him room to hope.
The next morning, NEḤEMYAH gathered the leaders of the Y'hudah tribes and exhorted them to begin rebuilding the walls so that they would be protected from their enemies. He told them of the approval that he had received from King Darius and of the supplies that he had been given.
Strengthened by his words and the support of the king, the people feverishly began rebuilding the walls. They divided the wall into sections, with each family and tribe responsible for the repair of one section.
When the Samaritans, headed by a man named Sanballat, heard that the Y'hudai were attempting to rebuild the walls, they became enraged. They organized a force of fighters to attack the builders and prevent the wall from being rebuilt. The idea that a group of refugees could gain independence and military security was not something they were willing to tolerate.
Knowing of the danger, NEḤEMYAH took steps to protect the workers and allow the project to continue.
He split the men into two groups, one of which would always be armed and would stand guard, while the second one continued the work.
He also gave each group trumpets to blast in case of attack, so that the other defenders could rally to them quickly.
Additionally, everyone was encouraged to sleep in Yerushaliam during the construction, even if they lived in other towns, so that the could join the night guard.
NEḤEMYAH himself took part, standing guard night and day.
The work continued unabated for 52 days, morning to night.
Finally, the wall had been completely re-enclosed. It still only stood at half its previous height but had no more breaches or openings. Only the doors of the gates were yet to be completed.
Finally, after years of fear, the Y'hudai of Yerushaliam felt secure.

This is not about the "Day of Atonement" (It is you 119 that has added to His Word, and given a wrong definition of "pleasure", H2656), but a chastening of a rebellious people who claim to be fasting and afflicting their souls on a day not appointed by Yah. Yah's instructions (Torah) and keeping His Shabbat Holy is what Isaiah and the Father are addressing here.
Vs. 1 Isaiah is to tell the people that they better repent. Isaiah is to "cry out", shout his voice like a "shofar" to the people, against their transgressions.
Vs. 2 They go before the Most High in vain, and actually take delight in approaching Him in their sins.
Vs. 3 They speak like the Pharisees in the N.T., proclaiming how they fast, and how they afflicted their souls, when they did not. they found pleasure in taxing, harassing, and terrorizing their employees/servants.
Vs. 4 They're fasting in "STRIFE" like an adversary, and quarreling, and striking their servants with a fist in wickedness.
Vs. 5 Our Most High asks if it's a fast (a day/moedim) that He has chosen. No, obviously not. They had created their own wrongful fast, and were highly disrespectful and wicked in their doings. He asks, "is it a fast that He has chosen? No!
Vs. 6 The fast He approves is the one where He will loose the bands of their wickedness, take away the yoke of sin, and let those who they (The people) were "CRUSHING" (oppressed) go free. Repent and break off this yoke of burden!
Vs. 7 The Most High goes on to tell them what they should be doing!
Vs. 8 "If" they will do His word (Shema), they will bust out like the morning sun, they will sprout with health quickly, then their righteousness will be before Him and they will receive glory, and then is their reward!
Vs. 9 "If" they do His will, cry out to Him, they will be heard by the Most High, "IF" they break off this evil yoke, pointing their finger, and continue in their vain wickedness, only then will the Most High listen to their cry!
Vs. 10 "IF" they will feed the hungry, have compassion on the oppressed, then the True Light will appear, and darkness consumed!
Vs. 11 Then the Most High will guide them continually, "IF"! He will turn your dry dead bones into new life, they will receive "Living Water" that "DOES NOT FAIL"!
Vs. 12 This verse is what verses 13-14 are all about!!!
Rebuilding the old waste places (our lives), raise up the Torah (The foundation of our faith) that had been lost to them, and "IF" you do this you will be called a "REPAIRER OF THE BREACH" (Restoring the covenant). A restorer of the path to eternal life!
Vs. 13 How do we begin? By properly observing, guarding, honoring, and keeping His Holy Shabbat in the highest esteem!!! It's His "Holy Day", not yours, "IF" you call His Shabbat a delight, HOLY of the Most High, make it rich in honor to Him, not doing your pleasures or speaking your words on the Most Holy Set-Apart Day, His Shabbat!!! It's on His Shabbat that we learn of the loving instructions known as Torah, and how to be Holy as He is Holy, a set-apart believer walking in obedience, not doing "Your Fleshly Desires", but rather dying to this flesh and raised up in newness of life.
Vs. 14 Only then are we a delight to our Father, and He will cause us to be carried by Him into His heavenly realm of PEACE that surpasses all understanding. We will receive the promise to Israel (Those faithful to the end), and we will share in the inheritance promised long ago! "For the mouth of the Most High has spoken it"!!!

      Shalom Joshua,
Let's look at Scripture to answer this. Exodus 20:8-11
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
Here we see that we are to do no work nor are we to make others work for us on the weekly Sabbath.

I have a question. Since we now know that business is the original word in the Torah, is it okay if I watch my daughter’s dance recital on Friday night? I would be going to just watch her dance. No buying anything or going out to restaurants. I wouldn’t be working or making someone else work. What do you guys or gals think?

    • @Yehezkiel_Tipton
      @Yehezkiel_Tipton Před 10 měsíci

Of course! I would definitely say it's permissible to go to her recital. You are supporting your daughter and spending time with family. I don't see how this would be a violation of Torah.
Even if the scripture was talking about your pleasure (in the sense excluding business) I believe the weighty matter of what counts as "your" pleasure, is the intent of the pleasure you took part in.
I believe Adonai would prefer you support encourage your children rather than abstain from doing so because you felt guilty for taking pleasure in anything.
"Wether you eat or drink, do all to the glory of God."
Eating or drinking aren't directly worshipping God, but they are pleasurable, and you can glorify Him through them. Yet he doesn't command us to fast every Shabbat.
In conclusion, enjoy your daughter's dances, giving glory to God for allowing her to learn such a talent, and giving you a wonderful, talented child! I hope this was helpful ❤ Shalom

Yes! Great to see someone who knows and understands one day ends and the next begins at dawn, when the first rays of light penetrate the darkness. 119 Ministries has great teachings on many things, but they still don't have day start correct. They still think it is sunset. If so, why special instructions for Passover and Atonement?
To those who don't know: The holy Sabbath day of Atonement is from daybreak on the 10, ending on daybreak on the 11th. The afflicting part is from ereb (mixing of light and dark, this time the evening, not morning, twilight) until evening twilight on the 10th. Thus one is already in an afflicted state when Atonement begins, and ends the day in a celebrated state (affliction over the night portion; celebrate sins forgiven).
You can't have sunset without first having light. Light came first. Our Creator worked during the daylight portion of each 24-hour cycle.
The House of Judah picked up sunset day start during their Babylonian captivity.
Day start studies can be found on youtube channels tobesavedcom, convenantcalendarclub, and Yahuah's Servant.

    Leviticus 23:3 says
3 Six days till work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; you shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
    Leviticus 23:24-25 says:
24 Speak unto the children of Is’rael saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
25 You shall do no survival work therein: but you should offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
These verses infer that a ‘holy convocation’ is synonymous with the ‘sabbath’. The language of “no servile work therein” implies the main theme of the sabbath, being no work, or business. This description is also used for the weekly sabbath (Lev 23:3) the day of atonement (Lev 23:27-28) Passover and Unleavened bread (Lev 23:4-8) tabernacles (Lev 23: 34-36) and the context in which Lev 23:37-38 suggests that holy convocations are in fact sabbaths, in verse 38 sabbaths is plural - could this be plural for weekly sabbaths? Or the feast days and holy convocations that he just discussed in all the prior verses?
    Lev 23:37-38
37 These are the feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire onto the Lord, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, everything upon his day:
38 Beside the Sabbaths of the Lord and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your free will offering‘s, which ye give onto the Lord.
What about later in the gospels when Christ is crucified as our Passover lamb? They took him off the cross for that sabbath day was an high day. (John 19:31) According to your video on “Was the last Supper a Passover meal?” Christ was taken down on a Wednesday evening. If this is in fact what happened, then feast of Unleavened bread is considered also a sabbath day, being that Wednesday, is the middle of the week and not the 7th day sabbath.
    Holy convocations are sabbaths.

I had a dream about this very subject a few years after I started my walk....Although I didn't have sex often with my wife on the Sabbath just a handul of times I was led to repent in my dream and haven't done it since....I found this scripture after the dream..
To have or not have sex on the Sabbath is presented in Exodus 19 .
    10. And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,
    11. And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
    12. And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death:
    13. There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.
    14. And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.
    15. And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.
    Exodus 19:10-15 KJV
God spoke to Moses and commanded him to sanctify the people in Exodus 19:10. As part of the sanctification process, Moses commanded the Israelites not to “come (have sexual intercourse) at their wives” in Exodus 19:15.

The biggest problem with this interpretation and with translating it "business" rather than "pleasure" is that it would be inconsistent with how it is translated in other places in the Bible. In addition, using "business" in other passages in the Bible would make absolutely no sense. So, a good attempt but, unfortunately, not really supported by careful exegesis of the Scriptures.

    AMOS 5:21
“I HATE, I DESPISE YOUR FEASTS, AND I TAKE NO DELIGHT IN YOUR SOLEMN ASSEMBLIES.
    JEREMIAH 22:16
HE JUDGED THE CAUSE OF THE POOR AND NEEDY; THEN IT WAS WELL. IS NOT THIS TO KNOW ME? DECLARES THE LORD.
    JOHN 5
8 Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” 9 At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.
The day on which this took place was a Sabbath, 10 and so the Jewish leaders said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat.”
11 But he replied, “The man who made me well said to me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.’ ”
12 So they asked him, “Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?”
13 The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.
14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”
15 The man went away and told the Jewish leaders that it was Jesus who had made him well.
    The Authority of the Son
16 So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him.
17 In his defence Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” 18 For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed. 21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it. 22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgement to the Son, 23 that all may honour the Son just as they honour the Father. Whoever does not honour the Son does not honour the Father, who sent him.
24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. 25 Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.
27 And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.
28 “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice
29 and come out-those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.
30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgement is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

WAIT!!! I understand what your trying to say, BUT, at least 4 or 5 other times in Leviticus it says"do no customary work"!!! To me that means rest and perhaps a holy convocation!!! Even if I garden or such on the Sabbath it distracts from a "good" and meditating on the LORD!!! Looked up word and could not find business in the King James translation!!! Help!!!

We are to love God and other people more than ourselves everyday and this honours the Sabbath! In Jesus we have our Sabbath rest, He gives us the strength to live a holy life by humbling ourselves every day!

The law was given to Jews as a tutor until Jesus arrived. God's Holy Spirit now dwells in believers that trust in Jesus, the Holy Spirit pours out the love of God in their hearts and leads them to love God and people. Love fulfills the law! Don't get caught up in deciding which old testament Jewish scriptures you should obey. Jesus’s new command is to love others as He loves us!

I'm sorry, but you mentioned erroneously that the only Biblical Feast, that is called a Sabbath, is the Day of Atonement. In fact, ALL of the Biblical Holy Days, or Feasts of the Lord, ARE annual Sabbaths. If you pay attention carefully, we're to keep ourselves from pursuing our regular business, as you mentioned, except for the Unleavened Bread (Exodus 12:16), which the 1st & last days only, are Sabbaths. The Scriptures actually detail the fact that on these days, we're not to work, & we are also instructed to attend a
    "Holy Convocation"! Now, doesn't that describe an actual Sabbath day. I took Unleavened Bread as an example, but it's the same for ALL 7 of the Feasts of the Lord. Atonement is 24 hrs, so it's a Sabbath, but for other Feasts, loke Tabernacles, for instance, either the 1st or last days, sometimes both (1st & last days, such as the example of Unleavened Bread), are annual Sabbaths! We have 2 types of Sabbaths in Scripture : 1) the weely Sabbaths (7th day, sunset to sunset);
    2) the annual Sabbaths, litterally, because we celebrate them once a year. In the New Testament, they are often referred to as : "High Days", or "Holy Days". Yeshua the Messiah was our Sacrificial Lamb, & was offered on the Passover (High Day / Sabbath), & resurrected 3 days & 3 nights later, after the weekly Sabbath, before the sunrise on the 1st day of the week (on sunday), as He prophesied (Sign of Jonah was the ONLY PROOF HE GAVE for His "Messiahship" : 3 days & 3 nights in the belly of the earth, as Jonah spent that time in belly of great fish). God bless you all, and your families. 😊

THIS IS HOW YOU DETERMINE IF WE KEEP THE SABBATH AS A DAY IN THE NEW COVENANT !
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
    ROMANS 3:4
DOES IT SAY ANYWHERE IN THE BIBLE THAT THE CHURCH WAS BORN OR BEGAN FROM HEAVEN ON THE SABBATH DAY?
    YES OR NO ?
    IF YOU SAY YES.
THEN PLEASE FIND THE SCRIPTURE AND POST IT FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE, ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH.
    IF YOU SAY NO.
    THEN WHAT IS THE ARGUMENT?
SAYING THAT WE IN THE NEW COVENANT KEEP THE SABBATH AS A DAY IS MANKIND READING INTO THE SCRIPTURE TEXT IN AN ATTEMPT TO PUT WORDS IN GOD’S MOUTH.

    5.HEBREWS 9:10, TELLS US,
THE MEAT AND DRINKS, DIVERS WASHINGS, AND CARNAL ORDINANCES WERE IMPOSED UNTIL THE TIME OF REFORMATION.
WHEN WAS THE TIME OF REFORMATION?
PENTECOST 30 A.D. THE BIRTH DATE OF THE CHURCH
WHERE NOW EVERY MAN MUST BE BORN AGAIN OF THE WATER WITH BAPTISM IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS,
AND OF THE SPIRIT WITH THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST WITH THE SIGN OF NEW TONGUES.
THE APOSTLES WITH PETER HAD THE KEYS OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN TO BIND ON EARTH SO IT WAS BOUND IN HEAVEN.
AND TO LOOSE ON EARTH SO IT WAS LOOSED IN HEAVEN.
PETER BOUND EVERY PROPHET, BISHOP, PASTOR, EVANGELIST, AND ELDER TO BAPTISM IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS.
    6.MATTHEW 6:19; AND ACTS 15:4-20, TELLS US,
PETER AND THE APOSTLES LOOSED THE CHURCH FROM MEATS AND DRINKS, DIVERS WASHINGS, CARNAL ORDINANCES OF NEW MOONS, RESPECT OF A HOLY DAY, MANDATORY CIRCUMCISION OF THE FLESH AND OF SABBATH DAYS.
PETER STOOD UP AND IN THE 10TH VERSE OF THE 15TH CHAPTER OF ACTS PREACHED,
“NOW THEREFORE WHY TEMPT YE GOD, TO PUT A YOKE UPON THE NECK OF THE DISCIPLES, WHICH NEITHER OUR FATHERS NOR WE WERE ABLE TO BEAR?”
BUT WRITE TO THE CHURCH THAT THEY:
ABSTAIN FROM THE POLLUTIONS OF IDOLS, AND FROM FORNICATION, AND FROM THINGS STRANGLED AND DRINKING BLOOD.
    7.JAMES 2:10 TELLS US,
FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL KEEP THE WHOLE LAW, AND YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, HE IS GUILTY OF ALL !
IF YOU ARE GOING TO KEEP THE SABBATH
REMEMBER THE SABBATH STARTS ON THE 15TH DAY OF THE FIRST MONTH OF THE YEAR EVERY YEAR, THEN COUNT 7 DAYS.
    [ LEVITICUS 23:6-8 ]
THIS YEAR THE SABBATH IS ON EVERY THURSDAY.
THE JEWS BROKE THE COVENANT GOD MADE WITH THEIR FATHER’S WHEN HE LED THEM BY THE HAND OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT WHEN HE WAS A HUSBAND TO THEM, THEREFORE HE MADE A NEW COVENANT WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND JUDAH.
WHAT PART OF THE COVENANT DID THEY BREAK?
THEY LEARNED THE WAYS OF THE BABYLONIAN’S FOR ONE AND STARTED COUNTING DAYS OF THE WEEK.
THERE IS NO 7TH DAY OF THE WEEK IN THE HOLY SCRIPTURES.
THE SABBATH IS THE 7TH DAY.
THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES EVEN HAS A SABBATH ON THE 8TH DAY.
WE ALL KNOW THERE IS KNOW THERE IS NO 8TH DAY OF THE WEEK.
    [ LEVITICUS 23:39 ]
YOU MAY OBSERVE SABBATH EVERY SHABBAT AFTER THE BABYLONIAN 7TH DAY OF THE WEEK, BUT GOD IN HEAVEN HAS NO RECORD OF IT, IT DON’T COUNT.
YOU HAVE OFFENDED IN THIS ONE POINT OF THE LAW AND NOW ARE GUILTY OF ALL 613 POINTS IN THE LAW, WHEN IT WASN’T NECESSARY.
    8.MARK 2:27, 28; MATTHEW 11:28; COLOSSIANS 2:9,10,17; 1 PETER 2:21, TELLS US,
JESUS CHRIST IS THE LORD OF THE SABBATH AND WE NOW REST IN HIM
JESUS CHRIST FULFILLS ALL THE CARNAL ORDINANCES AND BY WALKING IN HIS STEPS WE NOW FULFILL THE SABBATH IN HIM

THE BIRTHDATE OF THE CHURCH FROM GOD IN HEAVEN WAS ON,
    “PENTECOST”
HOW DO WE KNOW IT WAS FROM HEAVEN?

    B. CLOVEN (SPLIT) TONGUES OF FIRE SAT ON EACH OF THEM
    C. THE WERE ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST AND BEGAN TO SPEAK WITH OTHER TONGUES AS THE SPIRIT GAVE THEM UTTERANCE.
    PENTECOST IS NOT ON SABBATH.
THE CHURCH DID NOT START ON THE SABBATH
THE CHURCH STARTED THE MORROW AFTER THE SABBATH.
THE CHURCH CONTINUED FROM THE FIRST DAY OF THE CHURCH IN THE APOSTLES’ DOCTRINE UNTIL THIS VERY DAY IN THE 21ST CENTURY,

SINCE GOD FROM HEAVEN STARTED CHURCH THE DAY AFTER THE SABBATH WHO ARE WE TO MAKE THE CHURCH MEET ON THE SABBATH?
    WHY TEMPT YE GOD !
READ YOUR BIBLE, PRAY AND OBEY THE SCRIPTURES.
    THE CHURCH STARTED ON PENTECOST
YOU CAN ONLY BE BORN INTO THE CHURCH WHEN YOU REPENT AND ARE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS AND YOU RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST WITH THE SIGN OF NEW TONGUES.
THE CHURCH CONTINUES IN THE APOSTLES’ DOCTRINE WHICH IS THE GOSPEL JESUS CHRIST GAVE THEM. [ JOHN 17:20 ]
THE HOLY SCRIPTURES ARE AUTHORED BY THE HOLY GHOST [ 2 PETER 1:20, 21 ]
HOLY MEN WERE IN THE CHURCH IN ANTIOCH WHEN THE HOLY GHOST TOLD THEM TO PUBLISH THE WORD OF GOD AND THEY DID THROUGHOUT ALL THE REGION. [ ACTS 13:1-3, 49 ]
WE HAVE THE SAME ANTIOCH SCRIPTURES FROM THE APOSTLES’ PRESERVED TO THIS VERY DAY IN THE AUTHORIZED KING JAMES BIBLE ! [ PSALMS 12:6, 7 ]
ANY THING ELSE OTHER THAN THESE ARE NOT THE CHURCH.
WE ARE THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD THE PILLAR AND GROUND OF TRUTH. [ 1 TIMOTHY 3:15 ]
WE PRAY YOU IN CHRIST’ STEAD BE RECONCILED TO GOD.
STOP MAKING STUFF UP AND DOING THINGS YOUR WAY.

WAS CHRIST RAISED FROM THE DEAD ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY?
An explanation of Matthew 28:1, “In the end of the Sabbath” (KJV), or “Late on the Sabbath” (ASV)? This seems to say that the women came to the tomb and found it empty on the evening of the Sabbath, which would indicate that Jesus was raised on Saturday, not Sunday.
No, this does not mean that Jesus was raised from the grave on Saturday, for three important reasons.
    Comparing the Witness Testimony
The first thing we need to do is to compare the gospel records. When we do, we discover that the other Gospel accounts clearly show that this visit occurred on the first day of the week. Here is what they say.
When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him. And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb (Mk. 16:1-2).
But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came unto the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared (Lk. 24:1).
Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb (Jn. 20.1).
The other records are clear. The visit occurred around dawn on the first day of the week.
Now let’s look at Matthew’s record a little closer.
    Proper Translation
Actually, the problem in this question is one of translation from the original Greek language into English. The rendition of Matthew 28:1 should be as follows:
“After the sabbath day, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week . . .”
The Sabbath ended at 6:00 p.m. the previous evening, and the dawn of Sunday morning was approaching. The Greek of the passage is opse sabbaton, meaning “after the Sabbath” (Arndt and Gingrich 1967, 606). The Revised Standard Version thus correctly translates, “Now after the Sabbath . . .” The New American Standard Bible renders the verse in the same way.
    Historical Testimony
It is the universal testimony of both Scripture and church history that the early Christians regarded Sunday as Christ’s resurrection day.
The disciples met together on resurrection Sunday (Jn. 20:19), then on Sunday a week later (20:26).
The church was established on Pentecost, which always came on Sunday (Lev. 23:15-16; Acts 2:1).
The early Christians, under the leadership of inspired men, worshiped on Sunday (Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 16:2).
That day was later designated as “the Lord’s day” (Rev. 1:10).
If we examine post-apostolic writers (ca. from A.D. 100 to A.D. 325), they agree with all the evidence we’ve presented: the other gospel records, the Greek translation, and New Testament practice of the early church. Sunday was the resurrection day.
The Lord rose from the dead not on Saturday, but on Sunday morning.

“For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
      John 11:9
Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day?...
(3, 12hr days, and 3, 12hr nights)( to the minute)
(Jesus gave up the Ghost just after the ninth hr., 3 o’clock, and was put into the tomb before evening of Sabbath of Feast of Unleavened Bread, a high holy day, not the weekly Sabbath.)
      Lev 23:6
‘And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; seven days you must eat unleavened bread.
(Nisan 15, AD30)(Jesus was crucified and gave up the ghost on Wed the 14th just before sundown, enough time to get him down from the cross and transported to the Sepulchre, which that eve is the start of Sabbath of FoUB.
3 days and nights, places resurrection on the weekly Sabbath, Sat the 17th just before sundown.
Mary discovered he was not there the following morning, the 18th, the first day of the week. So resurrection day was on the Sabbath 7th day of the week, not the 1st.)
      Jhn 19:31
The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. (FoUB)

Bible hub says the original word is chephets... which translates delight or pleasure. Where are you getting business?
