    I've posted abt this on your episodes that early on in my journey (Feb 2019) I had a headache on a damp rainy cold day in NY. I was going to take a cab home. Instead I walked 20 min to the train station, I felt slightly better. By time my train got in, 40 min later, I was fine. Another thing I started to do bc of your info, if I woke up w headache,Instead of freaking & staying in bed, I get up, drink water, move w ease. And I feel fine.

    I was recently told that even saying “don’t panic” will connect our brain to the word “panic”. Instead, say to yourself “stay calm” - it works for me.

    I have some chronic Triggerpoints in the glutes & quads for 3 years from now due to overactivity in sports (cycling and running) Tried everything but always temporary relief. Chiro, dry needling, massage, heat/icepacks, stretching, PT. MRI lower back, hips, pelvis totally normal. The Pain test was 38 points. Never heard of tms before & doctors/therapist never mentioned it (I’m from the Netherlands) Now that I’ve watched a couple of your videos, things become more and more clear….

  • @JohannaVai
    @JohannaVai Před 5 měsíci +2

    I've been doing so good with the tms for a while, but two days ago it flared up. So this was exactly what I needed today when my brain started spinning "oh what if I ate something bad, I need to stop eating that". I know now that my brain percieved danger because I started to work out a few days ago. I got fever, ache and got tired, but I didnt care about that. So the brain went "well you can't ignore diareah!" My worst nightmare... Im gonna beat this one too! 👊

    When i have a flare-up, i actually started using a slight alteration to your "im okay"/"Am i okay?" technique. Instead, I use, "I'm okay, right?". It's a slight tweak, but it asks the mind to reinforce the idea that you really are okay. I assume that I really am okay and tell my body/mind to find the supporting evidence for that

    Dan, first a word of gratitude. By steadfastly staying in the path charted by you I am now in a much better place symptom-wise (pelvic pain). Over the past week there has been a spike in the pain, albeit in short-lasting bursts. Is it possible that my anxiety and fear surrounding the prospect of a cataract surgery in the foreseeable future is the possible trigger? Thanks and warm regards from India.

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Před 5 měsíci

      That certainly is possible. But you don't have to figure out the trigger. Just go right back to safety. Know that the stress of an impending surgery does not need to create more pelvic pain today. Get clear on that and get back onto safety.

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Před 4 měsíci +1

      a good ENT can clear the ear wax. If the off balance feeling continues, then it's TMS/Perceived danger. The fear is not helping and is likely making the symptoms stick around longer or more intense. Safety is the way.

    ❤ Hello Dan ❤
    So thank you for your videos. A pain returned in my lower back that I hadn't had in months. I didn't make any wrong movements in particular. I've always heard doctors say "it's because of your lower back that you have pain." So normally I have a good mindset but with this pain that reappears my brain is in mode "if the pain returns = lower back problems = are the source of the sciatica and pain in the leg". I try not to believe it but as the brain bases its reasoning on this old pain that has reappeared, I admit that I have fear. And it's funny because the brain makes connections between the lower back pain that comes back and all the other pain; whereas yesterday I was calm and I didn't make any connections. "I was like, no big deal, It's just TMS".... Do you have any advice please? I did all the possible assessments but the return of this pain scares me a little because my brain says "before you thought it was TMS but this pain that you've already had before and which reappears proves to you that it is structural". My brain won't win the game but I need a helping hand, please. THANKS ! Cheers ;)

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Před 5 měsíci

      The advice is in my daily videos. But here is a point to remember. If your back was the problem, why did the pain go away before? It's not your back. The perception of danger is the only thing going on. Safety is the solution. The doctors are wrong. They don't understand this stuff. They have no solutions.

    Hi Dan, I need your help! I had chronic back pain for more than three years until I read John Sarno‘s ‚Healing Backpain‘. Interestingly before my back pain started, I had skin problems, it was diagnosed as Rosacea, got the treatment and it was gone in a couple of weeks and then the back pain started. Now the back pain is gone after I was aware of TMS. In the last few days my skin problems have started again, it is exactly the same as the one I had three years ago. I have a feeling that it is due to TMS. Since you have interacted with many in this community, could you please share your opinion and if it is indeed TMS, do you have any specific videos or literature that can help. Thank you so much for everything that you are doing. Extremely grateful!!
