  • Hey guys! Today I'm going to try to beat Street Fighter 2 Tubro and I'm going to try to use as little credits (or continues) as possible. I was doing fine until I reach a few CPUs that give me a run for my... MONEY. Can you guys guess how many credits I used to beat this game before the video ends!?

imo i think it's just lazy AI design.
i would rather pay a credit to play against well designed AI for a few matches than have cheating AI for potentially unlimited matches.
it even shows in their console games as of today.
the AI is jank and cheating, rather than being an acceptable simulation of how fighting another player could be.
funny how it hasn't evolved since the 80s.
this is why player vs player arcade matches and paying a fee at an LGS or event is so much better.
you get proper and rewarding gameplay that makes you want more, even if there is a (sometimes) bigger price tag.

You’re playing on the Japanese rom! That’s so cheap! It’s only a bit harder than Super SFII AI. The US/World ST is the proper hard version. 😂
Btw, you always fight Akuma on ST. It’s not performance based like in later games. Continuing breaks it, but virtually nothing else. So for people that only play for 1cc like myself, Akuma is the last boss of this game.

At first, it was common knowledge that you're supposed to "not lose a round" to fight Akuma. Until I accidentally fought him way back, after losing a round once or twice (Blanka and Vega) in the arcades back then. My friends and I were smiling, but I lost that smile when I reached Bison and fought Akuma instead.

@@arthursnyder6935 yes. It was a surprise, since it was common belief back then that you can't lose a single round. Some of people I play with, never believed me, until I showed them that it is still possible to fight Akuma as long as you don't continue. Another thing I discovered back then, is an easier method to fight Akuma. Have player 2 join in and use all 11 characters and beat them. Minus Bison, since it never works.
After beating p2 with all 11 fighters used, once you fight the Bison AI, Akuma will appear instead. A lot of my friends called me cheater for discovering that. 🤣
