I got it done, but need to slow it down for the browncoat, especialy since the heat up, I did the scratch in the fall of last year. patching around windows and doors , I don't think I'll have a problem with when I browncoat, but I think I'm going to have a problem making the 18ft wall strait. I need to slow it down so I can use the darby on the wall to make it strait and not look all patchwork wavy or lumpy bumpy. Any help with a product to add to retard setting? That's actually a stupid question, because of course you know, you're the stucco king. Thanks for making it look easy so I had the confidence to try it myself on my home, gettting the practice in, and I ended up adding another tool to my handyman business, Turns out I'm pretty good at repairing stucco, matching textures. Simply soak the wall down until it no longer absorbs the water. It can’t be dripping wet when you apply mud but moist. This can give you hours of extra time even in heat over 100 degrees. Naturally, it will take awhile to float and it dry. 😉
