WHO THE F would microwave facemasks🤣🤣🤣
Plus face mask’s actually do more harm wearing all day. Face sweating working inside a carpet mill. It’s already hot anyway. Wiping sweat just causing more germs. I don’t understand why we had to wear those for so long. I definitely couldn’t breathe especially with asthma.
You’re wearing the wrong type of mask. Try the 3M Aura 1870+ very comfortable and easy to breathe.
Hey why do doctors and nurses wear them for hours
They were a false sense of security.
My doctor graduated from Michigan State University, just like any other medical Doctor Who graduated from that medical school…and he said the paper masks were next to worthless. So did my husband say the same that they’re more of a make you feel better about stuff that actually helped and he worked in infectious disease prevention for 45 years
@@roygbivcreations5929they don't wear them for hours! Someone lied to you!
Melting chocolate with butter in the microwave, checking every 30sec and stir👌
I heat frozen bread/rolls in the microwave. 15 seconds is all it takes, you don't have to make it hot, just warm it up.
Roasting increases the carcinogen Acrylamide in food. Raw , steamed and boiled is the best way to eat.
Slow cooking such as stewing is also good.
Ever hear of the breakfast item called "Crack an Egg"? Break an egg in the provided container which includes items like potatoes, onions, peppers, meat, stir well and microwave according to package directions. Salt/pepper to taste. It's like making a single serve omelette! 😀
I have a microwave hard boiled egg cooker. Works perfectly.
Any kind of bread if you take a paper towel and dampen it and put it in for 10 to 20 seconds it always makes it soft and I do do it in the microwave with no problem
My friends husband worked in a factory fixing machines and said there's alot of cemecails in paper towels and made her stop using them bc its real bad to do that in microwave
I haven’ had a microwave in years. Heat quickly on the stove or oven.I don’t like what a microwave does to the texture
Especially proteins.. changes the molecular composition of it..

Anyone notice the bug on Gabrielle’s counter when Doc asked her if the scrambled eggs would work for her?
I microwave frozen bagels for 30 secs or other frozen bread. It thaws and softens. Also when microwaving frozen meals I always do small time frame and ck periodically. God bless

My son placed a birthday party paper plate in the microwave and it caught fire. I don’t know why. There must of been a type of metal in it. It scared me to death. My son was old enough to use the microwave but not to put out the fire safely. I’m so glad I was right there. So please take note and put those plates up so your kids can’t get them
It’s good that you were right there. That’s scary.
Plastics or processed plates should never be placed in microwave
I use paper plates in the microwave for years no fires depends on the heat.
We had a wedding shower when microwaves came out.
My aunt decided to cook a dozen of eggs.
A while later we were still cleaning up eggs from the ceiling, cabinets and the floor.
We were just happy none of us were hurt during the explosion.
Good advice is never old
I often thaw meat in the microwave. I have purchased my second Panasonic with a "cyclone inverter." I always under thaw meat, not completely. I have been so pleased with this microwave, especially for this use.
I also defrost meat and bread in the microwave and LOVE my Panasonic microwave. I also like the sensor reheat. Put leftovers on a plate from the fridge, set it to reheat sensor, and at the first sign of some 'steam' it stops and is perfect, not too hot or cold.
I tried the thaw setting on ground meat.
The edges of the ground meat started to cook, while the middle is still frozen.
I microwave bread all the time no problem. I wrap it in a paper towel for 10 seconds or less then I turn it upside down in microwave for 10 seconds or less and it's perfect every time just like warm slice of bread and it's not hard as a rock
It turns hard later in your gut
You're probably right I don't think I'm going to be microwaving bread anymore
Use this device veeeeeeeery sparingly 😂
20 secs is too long. I do 10 tops. Sometimes that's too long. You have to eat it fairly fast because if you leave it sit to cool down after 15 secs. it will be a little harder or chewy.
@@cynthiahoskinds239 No it doesn’t. The reason bread turns hard when microwaved is either the power level is too high, or it’s in far too long. Seconds are the time bread should be in a microwave not minutes.
Those “gentlemen” microwaving the eggs was like they were playing a video game.
There should be 10 commandments on the packaging so folks don't end up killing themselves due to ignorance😂
I asked my son when he was about ten, “What don’t you put in the microwave?” (I was looking for aluminum foil.) He shrugged his shoulders and said “Cat?” We both were on the floor laughing!!!
Cat??? Can't find humor in it as kids do that and it's a horrible thought when even adults don't know how microwave works and take things lightly or don't read instructions well.
@@moon-ud8tq My son would not put a cat in a microwave. His answer was a question “A cat?” He’s 30 now and one of our US Aviators. Everything is OK 👍
@@hikerhobby1204 , yes, i understand it was a joke; it just reminded me of two small kids who did just that (i heard about it years ago and really don't know anything about it). You have a wonderful son and bless you both.
@@fran-gx3kf God bless you too!
I make toasted cheese sandwiches in the microwave all the time. Toast the bread in the toaster, put a slice of medium sharp cheddar between two slices; nuke it or about 30 seconds ... toasted cheese without the added oil of butter.
My microwave broke down 3 years ago, haven't missed it at all, gone back to ordinary cooking. 😊. 12:24
Bread in microwave for a FEW MINUTES? No. It only takes abour 8-12 seconds to get it hot. Any more than that and it will turn into a brick.
Your timing has to be spot on for bread.
If it has not turn into a brick, it is as tough as leather when it cools.
My Panasonic microwave has same feature.. I love it.
Egg has. Steam tight shell so it will blow up from pressure as Will a baked potato or any vegetable with a shell like rind Just poke them With a fork or a knife to give it steam vent
Seriously, these people need Microwave lessons. You cannot cook eggs in the shell in your oven in a few minutes. No, far less than that, if you must cook an egg in it’s shell put a pin hole in one end and cook for about 40seconds on a lower heat level, personally I’ve never bothered. You MUST defrost meat, chicken and fish BEFORE cooking in a Microwave as you would with conventional cooking. When you put a cup of coffee to reheat up in the Microwave, (it doesn’t change the flavour) as the coffee heats it will transfer heat to the container, (glass or mug etc)depending on how microwave able the container is. Don’t use foil, cheap plastics, metal, fine glass etc to cook in your micro. Use only microwave suitable items only. Read the book that is with the oven you bought, also buy a microwave cooking book, and enjoy your food.
Is this for real? I haven't head of Dr Oz since forever what lol..I thought he retired
I don’t have a microwave and I’m very happy I don’t……
Use Only old fashioned methods on cooking All your foods on stove top and overwise Only for Safety n on microwave sake
Dont know about anyone else but whenever someone in the house occasionally but repeatedly uses a cup with a handle or certain bowls that say microwave safe, the dish ends up with a very fine crack right through the dish which becomes more evident over time and eventually the dish will break apart. Also some slight bubbles appear in the wall of the dish as if the material inside the glaze expanded by the microwave a tiny bit and didnt affect the glaze too much, just leaves one or two small bumps like a small pimple size. I find the only bowls to use that say microwave safe are ones where the design of the dish is completely even, curves, not a flat base bottom, and no handles because the heat seems to concentrate unevenly on, in the dish. Not talking plastic here, I dont use plastic anything much, its crockery, etc.
Also, if the crockery has a chip or nick, the crockery will get super hot.
One thing to keep in mind, microwaves take out moisture so you have to add moisture to keep things from exploding and burning
they also take out ALL the nutritional value of whatever you put in
Great advice, thanks for sharing these ideas:) And @ 7:16 I saw something crawl from her drawer on the counter under her plate….
4tsp of bleach in a quart? You might not have much fabrics left let alone breathing in all that harmful of chemical into your lungs. Or you can definitely believe your lungs will be effectively sanitized from any decease let alone life itself. 🤣🤣
I do eggs in microwave all time, make sure to take out of shell percing yolk
I don’t know how many people know not to microwave eggs, but it is a very dangerous thing to do, there should be a warning about this. Many years ago I bought my first microwave, I was amazed at how quickly you can get hot food so I decided to put an egg to boil. Within seconds the egg exploded and blew out the microwave door in pieces!! I was in shock thinking what if I was in front of the microwave.
I do. Whip egg, dash water. On bun, egg sandwich. Bacons added & a piece of cheese.
Just cover with water and add one tsp salt per egg and micro for ten to fifteen minutes
Im glad you were not hurt, its good that you let people know from your comment as others will learn from your experience. 😊 People used to just talk about stuff and that sort of thing would come up eventually. Id suggest to always read the booklet the appliance came with, or find one online or similar. ❤

@rms5993 is that what she said?????
Use defrost button to warm food.
Panasonic has a great sensor reheat option. I'd think the power level would be too low on the defrost to warm food well enough.
The perfect attire good chef demonstration got it all sir
Airfryers are the best way to roast nuts.
If I bought my airfryer for no other reason is to roast any raw nut.
It takes between 2-3 mins

DO NOT WEAR FACE MASKS AND DO NOT LOCK DOWN EVER AGAIN. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Wearing face masks only meant I had to use makeup on my eyes, and lockdowns were great to keep people from dropping by unexpectedly. I hate company... Some people treat others as a coffee shop and expect there always to be some kind of cake with the coffee and then to be their personal therapist to unload all their issues. No thanks.

One Thanksgiving, my daughter and I were preparing the turkey and I decided it would be nice to cook the heart for the cat to eat once cooled. After 15 secs, my daughter yelled “ Look Mom, the heart is beating!! “ I turned to look and it exploded and made a nasty mess inside the microwave. I figured out that I should have cut some of the membrane off before microwaving it. Lesson learned!
My daughter and I still laughed about the “beating heart” every Thanksgiving after that! LOL 😂🧑🏻🦰🇨🇦
Finally someone like a doctor ❤has put thus on video 😊
If you paid me a million dollars I would not have a microwave wave in my house.
I would bet you would.
@@benthere8051 You would not win that bet. 🤓
Kale should never be cooked toss directly into trash!
Amazing job ❤
Any more I primarily use the microwave to store pizza for an day.
i poach egg in a microwave but you have to be precise on the time....a little too long and you will hear a pop that does not sound good.. scrambled? yeah it's doable.
I have great luck with bread if I use 30-40% power setting for usually about 30-60 seconds, depending on type of bread being microwaved.
Right. On 100% power it only takes 10-12 seconds. Less power might be better.
Walmart used to carry a microwave rice cooker that had two tops. Both were vented with clamp on the outer one. They worked really well for containing explosions and overflows.
If you cook an egg, make sure the yolk is stirred up or you will have a big explosion.
You can just poke the yoke with a toothpick , you don't have the mix or blend it.
Not necessarily. I make soft cooked eggs all the time in microwave without poking yolk. Easy peasy
Everyone should know that bread in a microwave, you only do it for like 12-15 seconds, never minutes. Duh!
I’d like one of those aqua microwaves. Love aqua.
Me too!
I boil a cup of water for 2 1/2 minutes before dipping coffee bag in it. I like cooking mince meat with beaten egg, stir in between. My favourite must do is poking lots of holes on sweet potato and heat for 5 minutes or more, it tastes better than the steam or boil dish.
Are these old videos?
I thought dr oz stopped doing tv?!?!…
5 to 10 seconds for a slice of bread. Longer and it dries it out and gets hard.
I disagree with the meat thing. I thaw meat all the time in the microwave, done it for years and years. You use a very low power level, like 3 or lower, and do it a couple minutes at a time and check. The Inverter microwaves do a much better job at this than the standard ones. With ground beef, you just remove the parts that got thawed and keep going at low power until all is done. With chicken, you can wrap the small ends of drumsticks with foil ON A PLATE so they don't start to cook during defrosting. Yes you can put foil in the microwave. Just not too much and don't let it get too close to the walls or floor of the microwave. Some microwaves have metal racks in them. I never thaw fish in the microwave, it's too hard to stop from cooking in there.
Best way to make bacon,
Talk about how it overheats vitamins and minerals and ruins them
It doesn’t overheat vitamins and minerals at all. The vegetables are cooked so quickly that they retain their goodness. I’ve been microwaving almost all of my vegetables for over 40 years and I’m of an age and very, very well. When microwaving eggs, gently use the tip of a pointed knife into the yolk and it will cook in seconds without exploding and won’t run.
I stopped using a microwave. If I can't cook it on a stove top or in the oven, I don't.
What other option can we use besides using a microwave what would be another alternative?
Oven, stovetop 😁
Right?!
I thought putting eggs in the shell in microwave, is general knowledge
There should be an iq test before they let you buy one.
There should be IQ tests for everything: driving, having children, living together... The older I get the more I realize how ignorant so many people really are!
I totally agree with you Gary, after reading so many comments I realise that people haven’t read the Microwave instruction manual. It’s a totally different way of cooking and it takes time to get used to it. However when you do use your oven as you should, they are an essential addition to your kitchen. I wouldn’t be without mine ever.
Don't microwave, it's that simple 😂
Petrified bread from microwave makes gr8 breadcrumbs 😉
I thaw out my Marie Calendar's lasagna for 90 minutes before heating, then microwave for 33% less time.
boiling water will explode.
Now I’ve heard everything! Whatever you do, don’t go near a microwave if you truly believe that boiling water will explode, because that’s the silliest comment I’ve heard, ever!
@@aileenclarke9651 My friend had this happen to her. She had severe burns on her chest. She stopped by the house and showed me on her way home from the hospital. She mentioned putting a wooden stick in my coffee cup while heating in microwave.
This happened about 15 years ago. Last year my coffee cup exploded just seconds before I opened the microwave or I would
have been severely burned on my face. I didn't use a wooden stick
but guarantee I do now.
I forgot to mention she was just getting over breast removal from cancer and she was severely burnt from water. Sorry you are making fun but hope no one is injured from a cup exploding.
You must break the egg yoke.
You can pierce the egg yolk and white with the pointy end of a knife. If you do that gently the egg yolk won’t run and the white won’t explode.
Damp paper towels to wrap the bread works in the microwave for 8 seconds
Try baking raw garlic in oil in your microwave. Not only will it explode, then burn with a black smoke, but you will never get rid of the sulfurous odor. Pretty sure that is the same sulfur that matches are made from.
I always heat bread rinse under water first and low heat
Use defeost to soften bread
I make hardboiled microwave eggs all the time
Can mirowave eggs if you crack them put in water.i do it all the time.
You got to be nothing up there to microwave whole eggs.
Are there really people out there who don't already know most of this? It's just common sense. Who microwaves bread for more than like 15 seconds at the most anyway?
Rarely, you may come upon something that acts differently than you expect it to in a microwave, for instance, the clams in soup like chowders will actually pop & splatter unless you cover the bowl with a paper towel to catch the popping splatter. Chili & sauces like spaghetti sauce will splatter too once it gets hot. Make sure to stir them occasionally to redistribute the hot spots & make sure to cover loosely with paper towels.
Welcome back Dr. Oz
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Is it advisable to microwave chopping board.
Who in the right mind microwave face mask.
You shouldn't use paper towels or paper plates in a microwave cuz they will catch on fire unless you buy paper towels and paper plates that say they are microwave safe reason being is when they make the paper towels and paper plates there's a banding around the big bundles of paper that they mix all up and if you don't remove the aluminum banding off the paper bundles that gets all mixed up and pieces are all over the paper towels and it catches on fire
How about:
Don’t microwave your face?

I always put frozen ground beef in a pan and slowly cook it. I wonder if thats ok. You can’t do that with chicken. Thawing ground beef in the microwave doesn’t work for me. Don’t do what I do. Watching this show, not sure if my method is ok.
Use defrost,works for me.
@@rosemarysmith178 I’ve tried that. I’m good at cooking but terrible at microwaving.😂
Even if you crack an egg in a bowl but don't break the yolk, the yolk will pop all over.
Ok the main problem is you guys are microwaving everything on high power. That is your main problem. Use the power setting. When I heat up a sandwich I use 50% power setting for 2 minutes and my sandwich is wamed evenly. Most people ignore the power settings.

Put alcohol in a spray bottle to sanitize if you still choose to wear a mask.
Bread microwave for only seconds not minutes.
I've found that, 1) heating any form of egg in a microwave, raw in a shell or even cooked like an omelette or boiled is a bad idea, 2) only making a tea with tea-bags and re-heating cooked or boiled rice is best. Heating any form of gravy or soup in a microwave will more or less alter its flavour.
What is wrong with Dr. Oz's voice? He sounds so different.
If you know you are going to need a roast for the next day put it in the refrigerator over night and it will be ready the next morning to cook and eat
I take a small roast directly out of the freezer, rinse it under water, lay in a Pyrex dish with a bit of water, sprinkle seasonings on it and cook it in a Breville convection oven for about 2 hours and it is perfect every time. Don't think I would do that for a larger roast though. I'd defrost overnight in the fridge.
