    Beautiful bag design, can I use 3 mm cord

    • @macramewithlilly
      @macramewithlilly  Před 5 měsíci

      Yes, definitely. I have made this bag in 3mm. I added 4 cords and did 2 extra rows of alternate square knots before doing the final pattern. I can't remember if I needed to add length or not ... it's been a while :)

      About 18cm x 22cm. This will vary 1-2cm depending on your tension

      Sinto muito por isso. Tenho muitos espectadores que falam português e têm o mesmo problema. Infelizmente, o texto não pode ser traduzido, apenas a fala vocal. Tentarei adicionar instruções de narração em tutoriais futuros e atualizar este em algum momento, quando tiver tempo. Enquanto isso, você pode diminuir a velocidade do vídeo ou usar o Google Tradutor para ajudar. Obrigado por reservar um tempo para comentar 🙏😊

    you say to tie the side pieces to the D ring, but we can’t see how you tie them…and what happens to them after they are tied to the D ring?

      Thanks for your comment and my apologies that the video is not clear.
      The outer cord goes through the D ring (just to pick it up) and you can just tie a regular knot to secure it. The outer cord is then returned to the pattern as it is part of the 8 pattern cords. I hope that makes it clearer. The D ring is just to make it look more professional for attaching the strap but you can also leave it off if you prefer :)

    You need to be more slow

    • @macramewithlilly
      @macramewithlilly  Před 10 měsíci

      I try to go slow for instruction and then fast for repetition. please pause and rewind if you need to see an instruction again. Let me know if you need further explanations. Apologies if it is too fast for you. It is too slow for some others

      That’s my first try to make macrame bag and i used 3 mm cord but i fell that the width ls smaller than yours

    • @macramewithlilly
      @macramewithlilly  Před 10 měsíci

      Yes it would be smaller than mine because mine used 4mm cord. I would add 8 more cords if doing it with 3mm and maybe 6 more rows. I hope you keep going and do more macrame :)

      The part that i’m little bit confused about is the firts and the last cord the 50 cm shorter the both shortest side is inside ?

    • @macramewithlilly
      @macramewithlilly  Před 10 měsíci

      That is just so that you don't waste a lot of cord. The filler cord on the outside does not alternate so you don't need as much. If it is still confusing then use the same length as the other cords. It is better to have left over cord and not be confused :)
