Good update and thanks for sharing. When we had our R72, I had problems with the engine temp climbing on hot days. The belt was tight, but the little ribs on the serpentine belt were hard and brittle and didn’t have enough adhesion to move the fan. I remember changing the belt but I don’t remember removing the alternator. Maybe I was able to use one of my bent wrenches but that was over 15 years ago and I just can’t remember. On the straw bale on your cage, our old S77 and new S97 have a blocker plate on that area of the cage to prevent it from plugging with straw. Never built a bale with the blocker plate. Our 72 would intermittently build a bale in that area and a friends 62 does occasionally.
Over here in Australia a dealer called weisner’s made an updated spring tensioner for the fan belt, it works similar to how a C series Cummins tensioner works, very rarely needs adjustment. We updated our 72 and 75. Also if your belt has been slipping at all there’s a good chance it will be eating away at the tin pulleys, the bottom pulley on our 75 collapsed at around 2000 engine hours the year after we bought it. The belt had been slipping with the previous owner.
Remove the top bolt off the alternator and pivot down so you can get to the tensioner . Make sure you tighten the fan belt again after a while - make sure you cant move it by hand or it will burn up .
Where are you running your bottom grate? I had that issue last year, so I set it open for this year. I’ve also heard that it’s caused from worn discharge paddles.
OMG I love jackfruits ❤❤❤❤ Ahao was so proud sharing his sister’s food to his friends 😂😂

I was thinking of putting plates in there that i have from a R 70 if it happens again that is was what i am doing
i opened the grate some more and that has taken care of the bale
i bet the S97 is a big step up form the R75 or S77
Use moth balls when storing combine or red rodent pouches
i have done that in the past and it did not help
i will have to try the red rodent pouches

On my R72 the fan pulley cracked and broke
just a bad design or material
Wonder if cummins has and updated tensioner for the belt
can you get me a phone number or any information so i can order one or buy it or do they have a website that will help me

good idea some one told me they make a self tightener i would like to put that one on
not sure i could find one
I go behind the motor to work on the belt, work good that way
what are calling behind
front side of motor or back side where the ladder is
@@KesslerGrainfarms I walk behind the motor and reach down from that way to work on the belt
@@KesslerGrainfarms maybe I’ll do a video of it.
ok

I just installed new serrated paddles updated style
paddle
Yes you are correct i opened the Grate and that took care of the problem thanks a lot for the info
They changed that in new series combine
what engine is in the new series combines
From what I saw I would say you are running the cylinder to fast by 1 or 200 rpm
Sounds good thanks for the info always good to hear from other people
you do not have to remove alt to tighten belt
do you need a special wrench this is on a Cummin M11 the nut or bolt is in behind the alt
any ideas i am will the listen and learn
you need a 30mm wrench , get at the nut from the front of the engine.. yes it needs a spring loaded tensioner
Ok will take a look at again this in on a Cummin M11 engine
Need new tires
Have new one in the shop want to make sure i get my $$$$ out of these
