Lol. @6:23 What kind of acceleration test is this? Why you short shifted in 1st gear? Also did you even applied full throttle in each gear? How slow it revs dude. Yes its slow might take around 16seconds but not this slow.

It actually takes around 13-14 seconds when driven properly. Automatic is the one thats slow and takes around 16-18 seconds.

Jimny is better than Thar in every way except for the safety and engine power.. Even then, the power to weight ratio is at par with the Thar...
    1. Better mileage
    2. Better after sales
    3. Much more reliable
    4. Better resale
    5. Better off road capabilities than the Thar
    6. World wide recognition
Another point to mention, most people just purchase the Thar just for it's road presence and spend most of their time in the city.. True and Hardcore off roaders and enthusiasts will surely go for the Jimny...
Thar and Gurkha killer on cards with Suzuki ❤🔥👑💥💯

The international 3 door variant does 0-100 in about 12.3/12.4 seconds. Even if we consider the added weight of the 5 door Indian Jimny, a 23 seconds timing is unpalatable. Something is wrong here.

Hi,I am really confused between Fortuner petrol and Gloster, is the Gloster reliable enough and worth taking over fortuner petrol?(I live in NCR and Gloster coming in diesel is my biggest concern).I really want the features and comfort, specially the third row,I will mostly sit in the 2nd row but the diesel report for 2027 and Question on reliability of Gloster is Stopping me.(mileage is not a big issue and daily running would be approximately-40km).If you could pls advise me on this?

Have had the pleasure of owning 5 Gypsy's over the years, then waiting and Ageing till the Jimny was finally launched in India, then waited another six [6] months after booking being one of the First, we were anxiously waiting for the prices and delivery of the vehicle.
The 7 June price revel left us in SHOCK, to say the least. For a four [4] seat vehicle, but in reality suited for two to have some fun (even the Gypsy had 5 or 8 seats), it is Highly Overpriced by about 2.5 to 3 Lacs. The prices were VERY DISAPPOINTING and Maruti will see its sales dwindle after the initial booking numbers for sure.
Yes Maruti will sell 10-15k to the Hard-core Gypsy/Jimny fans, then watch how the sales tumble, primarily as people realise the Mileage etc. Comparing the Jimny with the Thar is like Oranges to Apples, so we won't go there. Where Maruti had the opportunity to flood the market in India, seem to have shot themselves in the foot with the pricing.
Instead they chose to price it so high that the basic ON ROAD cost for the Zeta MT is going to be about 15.10 to 15.40 Lacs, with the Alpha AT at about 17.50 to 17.80 Lacs, this with an K15-B Engine, NOT the K15-C + many other shortcomings.
With twin differentials and rigid axles I sadly believe that the Mileage is likely to be 7-9KPL in the City & Hills & 10-13KPL on the Highway at Best. I hope that I am proven wrong, time will tell. Having said all the above, The Look & Style of the vehicle get a 10/10, off road capabilities also good, surely not viable for city driving, however I still can't get my head around the "On Road" cost
How & Why the EXORBITANT PRICING Maruti, when you could have flooded the market just by being reasonable.
I hope am proven wrong, but surely Time Will Tell…………………..Wait &Watch

I would opt for the Fronx (since it's newer than the Ignis) if I reside in the city. The Jimny can work in the city but its turn radius is larger than Ignis, the rear legroom is tiny and provides lesser seating comfort especially for rear passengers.
But if my travels usually take me to rougher roads, the Jimny is a no brainer. The Jimny is very lifestyle-centric and more personable since it can be modded without end.
Edit: I meant to say it's not comfortable for bigger/healthier passengers.

If MS sells both 3 door and 5 door version in india at a aggressive expected price of ex 8.99 for 3door versions starting variants 2wd and 9.99 for awd version and 11.99 for 5door 2wd and 13.2 for 5door awd it's gonna sell like hot cakes and gonna give run for the money of thar , and though being ms waiting period will be much much lower than Mahindra.🤔

The worst 0-100 test I have seen so far . Sure nobody is expecting it to be as fast as 1.5 or 2.0 L turbos , but its decently quick . This one looks like a paid😂 0-100 test to show its too slow intentionally . Anywhere between 11-13 seconds is reasonable I guess .
