  • Copernicus is the European Union’s revolutionary Earth Observation and Monitoring programme, looking at our planet and its environment for the ultimate benefit of all European citizens. Thanks to a variety of technologies, from satellites in space to measurement systems on the ground, in the sea and in the air, Copernicus delivers operational data and information services openly and freely in a wide range of
    application areas.
Visit www.copernicus.eu to access data and the services.

Such a comprehensive data is made better by free access to all. After all, expansive, local application of such data is crucial for ultimate environmental restoration. Thanks to its developers and financiers!

What an amazing video! Omg! Combining clear and ordered information with pretty colours (but not too much). Keeping it simple but aesthetically pleasing made it easy to watch and remember important information. I particularly liked the part with the 6 areas (Atmospheric monitoring... security... etc) which came up again at the end to remind us :D

Thanks a lot! Just one thing, could you modify the title to "Copernicus: Free & Open Data from the EU’s Earth Observation System" or close to this? Our data comes not only from satellites but also from in situ sensors.

Hi Faarest! I do agree with your comment ! I gave a try to the only operational copernicus service as of 2017-04-11, and the marine database seems really exciting ! It's also free of charge and there are APIs to connect to the servers ! It's marine.copernicus.eu/
      cheers!

Great video! From the technical point of view - could anyone tell me what is the name of the effect in 0:13 (besides the fact it's masking) and how to achieve it?

@@EU_SpaceThat's actually a false statement. This program just like other programs and all the EU agencies involved are paid from EU funds which means that it is paid by the taxpayers of the European Union.
