No matter what you buy the gladiators aren’t selling and you could get them for up to $15,000 off I actually recently purchased one built it and I really like it it’s simple it works great and it was totally affordable sticker price on my Rubicon for a 2023 was about 64,000 and I paid less than 53,000 so I think that’s a pretty affordable deal and I would assume the vehicles you’re showing are probably the same huge amount of sticker. I just wish they could go back to making these vehicles more affordable for all of us it’s a bit out of Control

Some cheap vs expensive cars I'd love to see: Tacoma, F150, Colorado, Ranger, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, Bronco
It seems like it's usually trucks that span such a wide price range, so I'm curious what you get with that 30k+ swing that those trucks tend to have and what the interiors look like.

We just bought a 2024 Sport S. We found with a $52,700 msrp, with a few nice options, auto, freedom hardtop, pref options group, power windows and locks, heated seats an wheel, 17” alloy wheels with great riding highway tires in 245/75-17 at 31”. Along with 12.3” screen and 8 speakers plus Apple Car Play, with UConnect SOS/911 Telematics System. All in all a very nice Jeep. That was discounted $15,700!

I was really hoping for a base Sport vs the Rubicon. As soon as I saw the painted flares and tires on the Willys I knew these would be a lot alike. The Willys is a Rubicon lite. Most people can only afford the base and Sport S. Other than that, great video.

On my Gladiator Rubicon I only got the heated seats (not leather) and wheel (cause of where I live and my back hurts sometimes and heated seats feel good), the upgraded stereo (cause I’m from Jersey and, well, you know), the upgraded screen with Nav (because it is a hard drive based system which is nice when you have no cell service in the middle of nowhere), the keyless entry with remote start (bc it is a really convenient convenience), the hard top with freedom panels (because I didn’t want a soft top) and the spray in bedliner. Didnt want any more of the luxury stuff (I actually prefer the black top and fenders) and the rest (like bumpers and wheels and tires) I was gonna take off and mod anyway. Saved a bunch of money and didnt get a bunch of crap I didnt want. 80K plus miles and very happy. Every time I drive it I love it and it makes adventures a LOT easier.

I bought a leftover 23 Willys this spring. Extremely pleased with it especially with the massive discounts on it. I never would have paid MSRP for one with the depreciation on these.

All trim levels no such thing as open differentials,

The cheapest I could configure a new (wrangler) Sport was $39k with the hard top, 6Manual, and tubular side steps, while the Rubicon V8 will msrp for over $100k. I owned at 2016 Wrangler with about the same configuration, and although I liked it, the overall maintenance cost over some pretty easy 50k miles, was higher than any of my other vehicles by a wide margin. I considered moving to the cheapest Gladiator as I do really like having no doors or roof in the summer, as was shown in this video, but definitely do not see the value of the step up for us.

All Gladiators come with Dana 44s and 3.73s standard. I'm guessing you mean the Willys comes with just the rear locker rather than the front and rear like the Rubicon.

  • @LOLewie

Ok.... I know I am not an expert CZcams car person.... But please, the 70 or 75 on the sidewall measurement means. in this case. 255/75 the side wall is 75% of the 255mm width or 191.25mm. thats the whole side wall, so divide by 2 to get the measurement we are used to. So the sidewall of the willy's is 95.62mm. now the Rubi 285/70 70%of 285 is 199.5 divide by 2 = the sidewall of the Rubicon is 99.75mm.
So even though the Willy's has a "75" sidewall, its still smaller. Not by much. Basically the Willy's is a 32" and the Rubi a 33"
