Sorry in advance for this video, and a couple more. I finished these videos while I was still injured and the acoustics were not as favorable as I'd like. I hope you still enjoyed it!
Excellent work as always, regardless of the acoustics.
Sorry to hear you got hurt, wishing you a quick recovery!
I'll be back to hurting myself before you know it!
@@PNPRetro if some more retro tech can help you heal more efficiently, let me know. I am always happy to be your enabler! 😜
PATENT PENDING MENTIONED!!!!! I never thought I'd see another fan in the wild :]
I remember playing that version of lemmings! A great montage 😁
I can't believe you had kings quest on there! Looks great and I love that you're still using the dock you mean for that handheld!
I loved scorched earth it was one of my favorites!
Great video and keep them coming!
Really hoping there is a way to retrofit AA or commodity batteries into the HAND386... I have bought GPD devices off ALI and the first thing to go is the proprietary pouch battery. Another reason why the 200lx was a great machine (along with the omnibooks that ran on AA batteries). If someone can retrofit commodity batteries to replace the proprietary pouch one would go a long way for longevity of hand386.
Ah crap. Thanks to people like you, this device gets more and more interesting… I’ll probably end up buying one of these soon… xD
Thanks for the great content.
I hope you feel a lot better after having to lay down for so long. At least you had something to do! :D
I'm upwardly mobile again at least! Glad you enjoyed it. I have a new upgrade video coming shortly that makes it even
any chance of you offering a download image for updating the 2 gig cf card?
Great video! I am doing something similar at the moment with the successor to the Hand386, the Pocket386 (exactly the same hardware, just in the Book8088 form factor). However, I have come across an issue with Windows 3.11 (not Windows for Workgroups 3.11) that I am hoping you could shed some light on.
I cannot find ANY mouse driver that works with either the built in mouse emulation via Mkeys of the Pocket386 (I don't believe this is present on the original Hand386) or, more importantly, a PS2 mouse plugged into the PS2 mouse/keyboard/VGA breakout module (which is identical to the Hand386 version). Cutemouse finds both mouse options in DOS and works perfectly, but I have tried every Windows 3.1 mouse driver and nothing finds either mouse option in Windows 3.11. Any suggestions?
Aren't these things awesome! We would have been king of the "hackers" lol if we had these back in the early 90s. Prolly would have been investigated by secret service then tied down and dissected! 😆
I really want to get one of these but i wish it was a laptop form. They made a laptop form one but its not as powerful. I think it runs at 4 or 8mhz. So its limited compared to this. Hoping i can find a used one of these in the future. For now im stuck with my HP 360LX palmtop for portability.
Great video! Also, hate to be “that guy” but that was King’s Quest VI
Quite right! Thanks for keeping me honest!
So you have dos 6.22 installed on a 2GB compact flash? I thought dos 6.22 was limited to 512mb partitions.
Thanks for checking out the video! Dos 6.22 has a maximum partition size of 2gb. There's a chart on this page that lists dos versions and their maximum partition size : en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_DOS_operating_systems
Would make a good emulator for C64 or Speccy.
What game is that on 9:47?
Stunts 4D Racing
To think we used to consider those great graphics...
