The Eienbach for 51k is the only weeder that does medium weeds…the others only do small weeds. So, there is reason for it to be there even if I suspect most people just spray.
dont forget its best use for rootcrops
Also don’t forget spraying gives you a negative to your yield of up to 15% which makes this weeder even better because it only gives the 20% bonus.
Yep. The game doesn't do a very good job of distinguishing between hoes and weeders. Some weeding contracts sometimes even lease to you a useless weeder when the job actually requires a hoe.
And any direct drill results in medium weeds at first growth stage, so the hoe is the only option (I learnt this on release on the US map - why didn't my weeder remove all of the weeds? Because they weren't 1st stage growth when they popped). And as noted spraying trashes your yield. That said there are some nice mod hoes, that are cheaper, though also narrower work width.
@@subucajif you spray before the crops grow to the first stage it clears weeds without negatively affecting yield.
The Ropa needs to be tweaked by Giants asap. Because in real life these do not only pick sugar beet of the ground, but these also seperate rocks and dirt off the beets. So if in game the beet harvesters would collect only dirty beet (like they do in real life) and the Ropa Maus converts them into clean beets, which pay higher than the durty once ... Bam there is a purpose for the Ropa Maus. But right now, super useless.
With the new pack this makes total sense, but they will never make it happen
“To plow an acre with this, is gonna take you sixty years.” I laughed so hard at this.
I grew up on an 1949 Allison Charmers Model G with a single plow blade and a few acres 😆
@@jlbaxe have you finished plowing yet?
I will strongly disagree with you on the weeder, since it is the only in game weeder, that can remove medium weeds (all others can only small). If you use direct seeder and don't want to take a hit on production for using herbicide (and pay the cost of herbicide), this is the only way.
Yeah I was baffled when I saw the Chopstar on the list. This is the most useful weeder in the game, despite the fact that its more expensive and doesn't have an optional seed tank. Now, granted, if you've let the weeds grow beyond medium, then nuking the field is the only way, but for 50k you could save a whole field without having to buy expensive herbicide.
The Jenz is not so bad at all
The worst pieces of equipment in FS22 are the AI helpers. There's no I about them, they're just As.
LoL. I use the Salek PN 2-300 to merge two smaller fields into a bigger field. With the big plows, it's too easy to accidentally plow what you don't want to plow. And since all plows create diagonals, it's nearly impossible to create a straight edge on a new field with a big plow. So this little plow is perfect for trimming edges of fields and connecting fields together.
The Ropa Maus is really useful when clearing a silage silo or when you store sugarbeets at the field until the price is right. Also you have to use the chopstar 5 if you have middle stage weeds which you cant remove with a the normal weeders. You basically have to use it sometimes and it has a place to exist.
way to wide for the first 3
you just changed my life i didn't think of using it for emptying my silage i've been slaving away with a damn 8k silage fork
@@charleysimmons427 You should try it once, and bring a big trailer, i was doing a lot of silage in fs19. Makes wheel loaders useless, the problem is that price tho.
@@edgarneto9220 been on it and love it now the only loader I have is an electric forklift for pallets.
yeah im using that too to cleaning field after forage harvest
I agree in principal, but i like that there's suboptimal equipment specifically for used sales in a "survival" playthrough. Getting the "bad" one at 60% off is usually worthwhile I'm the very early dredges of the game.
I actually use the Salek PN 2-300 plow quite a bit. I use it when making new fields or combining currently owned fields together to tidy up the corners, outsides, turns, and it does a good job on the angled lines. One thing that I hate about this game (even with mods) is that you can't have everything be perfect but the smaller tools like this helps me get it as close to perfect as I can. I hate being a perfectionist sometimes lol. But I also don't use field create mods because I do find the manual way of creating fields and such quite enjoyable. But other than those very specific uses for me, I will admit, it is quite a bad plow. Honestly I find all of the plows in the game to be quite bad and I am sure there is some realism to the plows and the power that they require to be used but I find that even when starting out as a new farmer with the land and fields given to you, it will take hours to plow the 3 tiny fields they give you because the power to plow size ratio is quite ridiculous from a video game perspective. I find myself using the Lizard modded plows that are basic and strait line plows (the mod has 2 sizes, one that is like 9 meters and another that is massive even when folded) almost exclusively because they can be used with a wider range of tractors.
I did use the Maus to lift silage out of a bunker - but you need a very wide bunker to unfold it into, so generally it's just too big and expensive to justify. A set of belts or an auger is much cheaper. Might be more useful if it could lift sugar beets or potatoes at the side of a field!
The 166 ton experimental tank from Nazi Germany?
Nevermind I see now. 😂
Farmer Cop, it seems you missed the purpose of the mechanical weeder CHOPSTAR 5-90. It is the only weeder capable of removing medium-sized weeds that arise from direct drilling or after using a disk harrow. So, it is truly valuable, even though it may be more expensive. I use it on my organic farm along with direct drilling.
You could also directly weed after you seed, then you do not have that issue. I usually sent the weeder directly after the seeder and then roll. Cause realism be damned sometimes
I like the .5m plow with the guidance steering mod to create markers on fields for keeping olive or grape rows relatively straight.
That makes sense I didn’t even think of that
200iq🧐🤔
Good idea
The small plow is not only cheap but especially it is precise. If you want to connect fields and draw exxact edges then it is perfect. Especially edges that do not align with the landscaping tool are a nightmare if you don't drsw them right.
The Nawaro-maus is genuinely extremely useful for emptying bunker siloes.
Espro is actually one of the better pieces of equipment in the entire game. It's kinda annoyingly small, yes, but it has upsides to counteract that. It's direct drill, so it basically counts as its own cultivator. It also doesn't raise stones like a cultivator would. It also puts down a layer of fertilizer. So by going over a field once with an Espro, it's the same as having gone over it with a cultivator, a seeder, a stone picker, and a fertilizer. For bonus points, find 2 or 3 of them on sale over the years, and run them in a multi-tool Courseplay route to fix the issue with them being small.
Also, your complaint about the weeder is because it's actually a hoe. It works on medium weeds, while the others only work on small. Though I would also say it's probably better to just not let your fields get to medium weeds. That, or just spray herbicide and accept the penalty once it gets to that point.
6:06 Compairing the The Pottinger Terrasem C6F versus the Kuhn Espro 6000 RC seeder; the speed increase is 13%, where's the price increase is only 9%, actually making the Kuhn better value.
1) Anything that kicks off to the side of the tractor pulling it. (I'm looking at you, first two stone pickers.) I dunno why, but anything that kicks itself off to one side and isn't hard mounted to the 3 point attachment? (as in, no pivot) I hate using. Only real exception being the bale loaders, just because they're still less of a faff than manually nabbing each individual bale.
2) Power harrows. Literally useless. Not only for all the reasons you mentioned, but also most seeders already have one attached. Literally pointless. (Unless you get one of the VERY few that don't. But even then, why?)
3) The little Massey Ferguson baler. Looks super tempting. 22k to play with hay and straw? Awesome. Except it requires another 64k piece of equipment just to DO anything with those little bales. So like. Why would anyone pick that over the Pottinger baler. Even the first Kuhn kinda makes the other two look kinda pointless.
4) The two biggest plows. Especially the Kverneland. For all the same reasons as #1, plus all the faff of dealing with a plow. Bonus points off for the Kvern, for limiting steering in one direction while it's down and making me think more.
5) Lime spreaders. Namely that there ISN'T one base game that isn't a trailer. Yes, I'm lazy and don't feel like backing a stumpy little short wheelbase trailer.
6) Anything that articulates in the middle. Quit bouncing whenever I tap the steering.
7) Forklifts. Just buy one of the offset cab telehandlers instead. Or slap a front loader on the Lintrac 130, if height is less of a concern. (Should do that anyway. Pair it with some narrow tires for an even tighter turning circle. You'll thank me later.)
8) Any harvester that travels at 12 mph. I'm sure you're a lovely piece of equipment. But I'm impatient.
9) Wheel loaders. See #7 (if you need the additional weight capacity, slap a weight on the back of the Lindner)
10 ) Corn headers that don't fold. Why do none of you snap onto the trailer like the grain headers.
11) (Dis)Honorable mention to the used vehicle sale for NEVER having anything I want/need.
Hi Farmer Cop,
2:12: I think, almost all self propelled machines are debatable.
Regarding to 6:59, the chopstar has its use because it's a special weeder, a weeder hoe. The weeds on potates can only be killed by a weeder hoe. But many think, that potatoes are useless anyway.
For 8:55, I used that belt windrower in combination with the Metsjö MetaQ 75 1360 Multi loading wagon. It has its pickup on the side and I thought I could put this windrower in front of my tractor to move the grass to the side where the pickup is to increase the picking width. Windrowing to either side is also an advantage as the other two you mentioned can only do one side.
The only advantage I see in the gooseneeck horse trailer in 10:32 is that you are able to jackknife it for tighter turns.
The self proppeled machines for forage and beet/potato are imo better. With sugarcane it is also a bit more useful but only slightly. And the feedmixers can be useful if you do a lot with bunkersilos.
Had no issue with this list until the last entry...sorry, Im from Texas and live just across the county road from a horse ranch, and those Kingston 5th wheel trailers are the king of horse transportation. I can say with confidence I have never in my own life seen horses transported any other way except at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo where I see other brands or methods from time to time.
My current playthrough is on Elm Creek on the ground behind the Clever Motors dealer, where I have transformed 35 into a home/barn complex and use 33 as a ranch plot and 32 and beyond for farming. When I transport my horses, best believe its in a Belvedere.
I have a 100 acre field on Gnadenthal. I am going to turn a worker lose with that .5 m plow and have them plow it up. I will post the time here later.....much later I think.
already done :) 6 months has passed
@@thijswieggers9983💀 9 months it might take 60 years
still no result?
@thijswieggers9983 6months? That had to be very expensive 😁
The salek 0.5m plough, i use that for the edges because I'm new. I used it to join 2 fields once too.
The Šalek plow is for vineyards, you can see the config for "small" attachment, hence the vineyard tractors.
I’ve lost interest in FS but I’d try it again if there was a regenerative farming option. No plowing, or chemicals. Just move the cattle around and plant behind them.
You’re in luck! There is now a conservation farming mod for FS22 on the in game mod hub. No Mob grazing but you can now use a roller on a cover crop (which is still oilseed radish I think but I haven’t yet tried it on a cereal like oats, wheat or barley). It gives you a fertiliser boost of 45% (better than the tillage boost with radish) and weed control bonus ( so no herbicide!). I’m like you in that I hated having to till and spray to get decent yields and lost interest in the game. It’s much better now with the precision farming and conservation farming opportunities. Now all I need is for there to be a realistic Controlled Traffic Farming yield bump and field conditions as well. It’s kinda included in the minimal tillage component of the precision farming mod that’s also available on the in game mod hub. The mod allows for variable rates of fertiliser, seeding and herbicide application as well as soil testing. There is a price premium paid for your crop determined by your farm “environmental score”.
I LOVE the JENZ HEM 922 DQ woodchipper, but buying it is insane. If you lease it however, it can help you make boatloads of money. One trailer of woodchips will cover the lease costs. Any load after that is pure profit. The reason why I like the JENZ over the much cheaper woodchip trailer thing, is because it's bigger and it seems to handle bigger logs much better IMO.
more like 3.4 million woodchips simply due to the price drop
one of the fun real-world benefits of a spader is that it applies its work-force to forward motion so you can run a 2m spader up a hill that your tractor won't pull a half meter plow up!
I agree with most of these. The only ones of these I've really used are the mower and seeder. I only bought them because they were on sale. They've both done well for me but if I was to buy new I would likely pick the other options. Last I checked the mower was only worth a few hundred dollars since I've had it so long.
I agree with you on the seeder. I always use the Pottinger 6m direct drill, mainly because 210hp gives you MANY more tractor options for your farm. The Horsch requiring 270hp limits you to basically just large tractors, which isn't always the best for smaller european maps with tight roads and yards.
I've only ever used the ropa mass to empty my silage silos into a tractor trailer. The front mount mower pairs rear mount to fill the gaps in the double wide rear mowers
59 seconds in, can I just say, what a cool concept for a video! Out of the hundreds of fs videos I have watched, I’ve never seen anything like this.
the Air 300 makes sense for the steep inclines, and alpine condition, should be mounted on the aebi or reform machines and push the hay downhill row by row, to be picked up by the forage wagon...
I never noticed the additional 0.5 meter plough. And same for the weeders (never bother with that category: spray it and done)
I did however find a legit use for the small 2.4m front mower: its smaller width is PERFECT for running a baler behind it (the 3.1m mower tends to miss little spots here and there) plus the lower HP helps when combined with a baler
I dont do that anymore
But im not hating btw
That plow is somewhat useful for precise field creating imo
I used one of the ropa's in FS19 after using the potato harvester that tips to th ground, to pick them up and load them into trucks. Also when i was harvesting 100 acres of sugarbeet and the harvester was filling up faster than I could could take to a silo, i piled the beet up on the field. Once finished, the ropa maus loaded the trucks at a pace i could cope with.
When I first started playing Farmsim I did a bit of weeding but found I was better off to just sp😊ray each field by default, right after seeding and the initial fertilizer pass. This seems to stop all weeds in their tracks. I watch a bunch of real farming channels and none of them own weeders but for organic farms I can see a use for this equipment type. Agree for modern farming no one needs or uses such a small plow, but if you went back about 60 years in time when few tractors exceed even 40HP it would be a very different case as many farms used this size plow or smaller. On our horse farm we had a 1952 Farmal Super C that I rebuilt. We used it for bush hogging the pastures and for pulling a 6ft finish mower over our front lawn. The total HP of this rather large tractor by today’s standards was 28HP.
Hi Farmer Cop, I think that the Šalek plow and other accessories were inserted to the game due to Zetor 25k and Porsche Junior 108 so that they have some use in early survival game.
And to the Chopstar 5-90, it is probably the only weeder which can handle medium stage of weeds, other can just do small weeds, it is in text above picture of equipment in store.
Good video and I appreciate you point out it's your opinion and some people will disagree with you and it's ok.
- Personally, like many other point out in the comment, the weeder give you the medium weed option and that is why it's so expensive, it's alright to go for herbicide instead when you seed on seedbed but you should have mentioned what that weeder offer, also, I get it's an old video but with some root vegetable on premium, you need a medium weeder or spray.
- The ropa is a gameplay option, instead of silo some people just dump on the ground then use the ropa when the price is right, just a gameplay preference.
- Wood chipper is a tuff one, so expensive, but self propelled and 80 kmh and can tow. But I agree, it's so expensive vs tractor/chipper
- The direct seeder for me is which one will be on sale, one person in the comment did the math and you get your money back when you to a ration with the operation speed versus price but personally it will be the one I see on sale because later in the game when I will buy new, it will be a bigger one.
- Mower, same than seeder, which one is on sale...
- Windrower, it depend how you want to work, the fact it make row on the left or right side give you the opportunity to stack row together while using most of the windrowers. When you use the other windrower, you loose half of the range when you want to stack row together. I never buy one for my farm, too expensive but when I have one in a balling contract, I love it.
- And finally, the power arrow and spader, I agree, a missed opportunity. It will have been nice if the spader offer a different result than the subsoiler, like it work slower but no rock. Same with the power arrow, the shallow cultivator is wider for the same HP but slower than the disc arrow, both have their pro and cons, but what the power arrows offer versus these two pieces of equipment? Like less weed will be a reason to choose it.
Use the woodchipper on big forestry maps with my buddies. Quicker to set up and move. Especially when we mostly use trucks
We have the 3 - small Šálek plow at home. :) And it surely takes a lot of time to plow a field...
Its been in the game for over a year, not sure if its still happening, but the KUHN ESPRO 6000 RC also has a bug (at least on ps5) where the left side will visibly raise but the hitbox doesnt move meaning its wider for driving on the road then you can see
Props for only doing a "worst of" on the base game stuff instead of some poor modders hard work lol
7:58 some of the weeders are hoes and will get the medium size weeds instead of just the small ones. Which requires extra work to build and extra horsepower to move. I've gotten to where I use the hoe instead of spraying herbicide cuz it effects my eco score in a good way.
9:17 this wind windrower works great if you cut very close to a fence. Put this dude on the front and do a quick lap and the grass is now where you can get to it with a tedder and not throw material on the other side of the fence.
I have had a single use for a power harrow. I wanted to convert the small grass fields on erlengrad to normal fields and the power harrows were usefull because they were short, so they more or less followed where the tractor drove without creating too many unharrowed parts when the tractor turned. Also I use courseplay so I sought something AI proof.
I like the lizard 6mt/9mt plow… it fixes any bugged terrain. The small plows are for grapes and olives I guess, but 0.5m would be pretty bad even for that. 😂
I thought that baby .5 plow was for the Porsche and little Zetor tractors.
I've used it along with guidance steering to draw a straight line so I could get my grapes nice and square
@@ThatGuy-nb7zfdecent idea
I use the ropa maus for corn silage. I'll usually have a couple bunker silos set up and the ropa is what I use to load the trucks. I also have a couple fermenting silos on the farm too.
Rowa maus id use for massive bunker silos to load trailers. The row guard weeder is the only weeder that can remove medium weeds. Harrows/spaders i agree. Kuhn I like better because speed/capacity/looks. 0.5 meter plow maybe if you're making a decorative garden deal with create fields function with sunflowers or something? Wood chipper is ok if you get it on sale. I used it a bit to tow and load log trailers while chipping pieces I didn't want on silverrun forest. I don't mind the crane after remapping controls and turning off easy arms setting.
Power harrows , spaders, = why?? just why? If FS had a situation where you need a harrow or spader, then great! But there is simply no need to use them.
I dont disagree with them being there, they are great for people wanting to play more realistic :)
As a new player who just started playing fs22 on game pass I appreciate your videos they have helped me out a lot..
For me the pn 2-300 is good for cleaning up edges because I like square fields and it's great for when I paint a little crooked or plow a little crooked
There were times when I began to question the equipment that was chosen but I kep listening and I agree with about 97% of the stuff on the list.
I disagree with you, but not because of the mods choices….
On a different note.. this video is GOLD!
The power harrows I like for going after the big disc has been through to cleanup edges
Love the deer grazing the concrete in the beginning
Hey mate, the weeder (hoe) can remove medium size or 2nd growth stage weeds. Love your videos. Keep up the great work
That first piece of gear you mentioned is good for picki g up silage from clamps. There are cheaper options but I had some fun with it. Just lease it.
Lol! Love your video! Thanx for being you and i love all your videos! You're awesome at going on, you'r content and you make you're videos (no matter what) that a "random noob-guy" like me understand it! Thank you for being you and doing your content. Sry if and for possibly bad spelling. English not my main language!
i started using the Ropa for silage pits when im running solo the head is just the right size and i can back the semi up right behind the unloading port
The Maus is pronounced like 'mouse', and is good for picking up huge amounts of silage from drive-through bunkers, or grabbing sugar beets off the ground when you've dumped them from the harvester.
Hoes are the only thing that will get rid of medium weeds. If you use a disc harrow to cultivate (without pulling up stones), weeds will skip the 'small' stage and go straight to medium, which weeders won't touch.
And the fifth wheel horsebox is more stable (hur hur), so it won't tip over like a regular ball hitch does on corners. Which is important when you speed around everywhere.
The cobra is great. Yes it is way overpriced, but i love to use it when i planted the wrong trees or have to shredder stuff. It is not about economy but saved time.
Spot on! Yes, some do have uses in the real world but like you stated, this is the game world.😉
The self propelled chipper doesn’t have a capacity like the small one. I’ve used that small plow for plowing a grazing area in a small sheep pen mod.
My least favorite equipment is... The pressure washer. They are evil, never use them.
Why?😢
Why would you mistreat your equipment like that
^^^^^^^^^^^^ That's why. 😉 If you know, you know. 😁
@@denyl5971 Because they become beautiful. 🤎🟫🤎
@@MartyCantrell i dont know
First plough is real good when connecting fields to keep a nice detail and keep it neat really love this vid and that wood-chipper just sucks
1:17 I used more for silage and makes it easier to load into a truck and trailer
I used the tiny plow on purpose to fix my field after I accidentally dropped my solar panel into my crops. I’m used to dragging with left mouse click. Its purpose seems geared towards fixing mistakes. Only useful for the stupid :).
Thanks for this :) i enjoyed it
Number one I use for when harvesting potatoes. I dump them on the nearest harvested field then pick them all up later on with this machine and a truck. I usually run a runner around during the harvests.
I do the same.
@@davidvanmol5199 makes most sense to me though 😅
i like the format, you could do a tierlist of equipment
Only one I’d disagree with is #7. It’s a hoe, meant for a different stage of weed growth. I’ve found use for it quite often when I have weeds enabled and I miss the first stage of growth.
A wood chipper with chrome wheels is worth 600K.
:-)
Number 6 is 36% more capacity, 11% faster for 10% more cost. It's just about perfectly placed relative to the cheaper option.
When the very first gameplay trailer for FS22 released two years ago and I saw the Jenz wood chipper in it, I commented under that video, hopefully wood chips are worth more in FS22 than they are in FS19. Because I knew at that time from real life that this unit costs a fortune. So far I have never used it in game. Not even on Silverrun where wodd chips sell quite well
I've used it once but that was on lease and I wouldn't use it again
I only picked it up when it was heavily discounted. And used it with a log dolly trailer to load it using the crane while discarding pieces i didn't want. Crane isn't bad if you remap controls.
small plow is probably for creating fields, small ones you can be precise on the field shape
i pick up Silage with that Ropa thing, because we got a drive through silo and with over 2.000.000L of Silage and if you use an excavator you become crazy over time
Greets from Germany! I agree with your decisions. The listed items are very useless in the game unless you want to play very specific scenarios. Btw if you are interested in correct pronunciations of several brands just let me know. I would be happy to tell you. Until then keep up the amazing work you are doing. i love your videos!
Air 300 F Alp.. Giants "forgot" to include Lindner Unitrack and/or AEBI tractory in base game.
I use that weeder because is the only in base game that takes out medium weeds, and thats probably why that price
I personally think you list was spot on.👍
I honestly use the Cobra for chipping giant trees and getting them out of the farm and directly into a dump trailer vs the smaller trailer which can handle less tree but also i dont need to get in and out of a tractor constantly to dump (But NEVER for money making purposes 😅)
Let’s see what you think about my opinion. I used the tiny plow to do the outlines of a new field before using the biggest plow to take out the bulk. And that Kuhn seeder is worth the extra $10,000 because the ratios of seeds to fertilizer on the slightly cheaper one is dumb, only 1600 liters of fertilizer. But love your videos, man! I only been playing a couple weeks and you are always my go to when I have a question. And haven’t failed me yet 🤙🏼 thanks!
I usually use the biggest plow possible and use the landscaping tool to straightrn out the edges :)
@@FarmerCop landscaping tool?? 😅🥲 I’m on console, not sure if that makes an difference
@@FarmerCop ohhhh hold up. So you plow more field than you actually want and then you “paint” grass or meadow over it to cancel the excess field??
@@joshveeya yes :)
@@FarmerCop THANK YOU 👍🏼👍🏼
agree with most, especially Kuhn Espro and the Sip belt rake, but for me, the reason for buying them is the brands they are and the tractor brands they match in my opinion. Because I love playing FarmSim in style, what's most of the time is lacking with the American players, because they are going for the most efficient and fastest stuff. One point I would add to the Sip belt rake is that I am really disappointed that Sip isn't more present in the game, because it is one of the few brands which has a trailed belt rake that could swing to two sides and could, in combination with the front rake, make the biggest swat ever.
As an American I couldn't agree with you more... generally when I watch content creators, especially fellow Americans, they only look for the largest most ridiculous equipment that would really only be used by huge commercial farms. It's why almost all of the creators I watch are from Europe other than FC and Rusty. There is also no consideration for almost any kind of reality base in the save. Which is perfectly fine cause we should all play how we want...but yea I mainly play small farms, realistic equipment based on the region, field size, money size and even what fits the storyline. I think that is why FC has the opinion he has on some of these items. The Kuhn and Sip are perfect examples of probably never even trying the items out but JUST looking at price and HP. I have tried out so much equipment just on tests because so much equipment has uses for the right save.
@@jeremywilson6387 thank you for your response. I am from the Netherlands and also play a lot of FarmSim. People around me mostly play it in the Dutch way, which in my opinion not really fancy, but what I most of the time do is matching machinery brands. The way I do this is, is searching for cooperations between brands, both current and in the past. One example: Claas and Amazone, Fendt and Lemken, sometimes it's hard to find info about that, but for me it makes fun. One example of a cooperation in the past is Pottinger and Steyr. Matching those brands gives also more style to your farm like you would almost never see me putting a New Holland baler behind a Claas. So about that Espro, most of the times I put it behind a Deutz Fahr, which has a cooperation with Kuhn for mowers and baler, but also John Deere has. However the cooperation with Deutz is older (and Kuhn and Deutz is looking better in my opinion). Besides that, the problem with JD is that it's actually not a brand of its own. It's build by acquisitions and cooperations, nevertheless, I think it fits Samasz, Goweil, Strautmann and Väderstadt better, the last actually also has a kind of a cooperation with JD. But said enough, but am curious to hear your opinion (I think that there are hardly any other Fs player, who think the same about that).
@@jpp37229 I agree and would also say it sounds like you do even more research than I do haha!!!
When I start a new save I like to take where that map is located and use tops brands in that region for my save. So if I am on an American map I don't really use Fendt, Claas Deutz Fahr etc etc...can those brands be found over here...of course but it generally isn't. Same as when I'm in specific regions of Europe. On No Man's Land (my favorite map) I will setup specific brands that I plan on working with.
I like to do things like this to make the game a bit more challenging and fun. I mean you could literally just do grass silage and become a millionaire if that was your only goal. But I like to put as many challenges in front of me as possible to enjoy the game.
Fun conversation buddy!
@@jeremywilson6387 i agree, no mans land is also my favorite not specially because it's empty but more the way you could put your buildings nearly everywhere, whats also dissapointing me at the Giants maps, because you have to use a field and most of the times need to flatten it, what would cost a lot of money, and will make it messy, but in no mansland it is most of the times not necessary and you dont have to use cultivated land and you can make and style your farm as you want. The Hörmann brand makes me very happy and I hope that Giants would put more buildings in the game in the future
Same here!
I live in the Netherlands aswell and i'm a mobile tower crane operator irl.
one of the things i do often is replace the roofing on old farm sheds (many had asbestos in the old roofing) or place the steel beams of new barns!
The benefit is that i get to enjoy a nice view and see what equipment is being used in real life here. They usually stick with 1 or 2 tractor brands. And many still have 20~40 year old tractors working hard at their farms. So in FS i love to play with the older looking stuff.😊
noooo! tiny plow is for orchards, but I use it to draw out lines where to start/stop tree planter for nice grid.
As far as wood chippers go this game is funny. How there aren't some cheap 3 point mount wood chippers is beyond me.
I'm surprised that a modder hasn't made one yet. I'm glad that we have the vermeer one.
Maus = mouse!
I actually use it for when I dump crops on the ground during harvest, I can then just ferry it into the designated buildings on the off seasons. But then I'm also a beginner, so please enlighten me how to store for example a pile of beets more effectively!
Chopstar can do medium weeds as well!
The seeder you mentioned is ok imo, you're paying 10k extra for some QoL.
Also, the chopstar (the "weeder" you mentioned) isn't actually a weeder, it's a hoe. Very strange that it sits between weeders but you can see it in the description. While weeders can only be used on ungrown and small weeds, the hoe can be used to pull out even medium weeds. It's still useless af because if you have medium weeds on your field you already screwed up and should just spray it down with herbicide (unless you have a small field and the 9m working width is ok).
Edit: didn't look at the chat before posting my comment and it seems like a lot of people already scolded you about the hoe lol
You could use the sip air to cultivate without baling yet, moving all the straw to one side and making one pass, but only if you use a small cultivator
Rollers… all of them. Its stupid that you can drift them and its lame that its acceptable. Best mod…no rolling.
They also tend to not work on certain patches of field. Annoying. Just refuse to roll sometimes.
It’s also so stupid that you have to roll even when the seeder has a build in roller.
Luckily there is a mod that makes seeder with rollers actually roll.
My least favorite are the belt systems. I can't seem to get them lined up and working.
You woke up and chose violence today. 😂
I use the ropa nawaro-maus for my bunker silos it makes it a hole lot easier than trying to do the same thing with a bucket on any piece of equipment
conveyor belts...
Goose neck trailers are worth it since you can turn sharper and very easy to move
love how he called to power harrow chapter "power heroes"
I agree completely with this list, I don’t use a single one of these pieces.
I 100% agree. But i also understand why someone would use it. If they really love that brand or they might use it in real life, they might want to have it in game as well.
#2 I don't get how you calculated that 2.7 million liters. I'm playing on elmcreek with normal economy and the advertised price range is 304-1033, but when selling via train to goldcrest valley, the actual price usually peaks at around 1150. So you only need around 600.000 liters (around 30 oaks or 60 spruces). That's still a lot, but only 22% of your number.
The much bigger reason why it is useless is because the conveyor belt is higher above the ground than the trailer version. When using the trailer, you just need to drop the edge of a log onto the conveyor belt and 9/10 times it automatically pulls the entire log into the machine (the remainnig 10% you give it a nudge with the crane and then it starts moving). But when I tried the self driving one, that just didn't work - I had to manually push the entire log into the machine with the crane.
The thing with the power harrows and spaders is this, in the real world they are commonly used pieces of equipment, power harrows are used to build a good seed bed, which should in theory give a better yield, why that wasnt added into the base game indont know. Spaders or rotovators are used instead of a plow for certain jobs, we have one that i use to dig my grans garden each year, find it easier with that as you start and finish in a straight line rather than stagard like a plough, they are ridiculously slow to use though if you want to get the ground right most uses I've seen for them is on some veg farms for things that we dont have in game (carrots, lettuce etc)
id say youre on point with most everything but the kuhn seeder's 1500L cap bonus is worth that money. less need to ferry seed to my workers the better when you get late in game and seed BIG fields. even with mods i find myself using it pretty often
There're very few basegame items I'd use, for different reasons. If you play US style, only one tractor has proper US spec, the 8RX. Everything else has something wrong, or something missing. That's a real shame.
I use the Ropa for filling trailers with silage too sell at the bga so it useful but it was my first time buying it and i never used it on 19 (console)
Yes I agree nr.4 is so useless,nr.5 also 5:41 but the 1st is useful for silige to load it in the trailer because is faster than loading it with the Wheel loader
Tbf i dislike all of the root crop machines as they are too small.
The small plow could be used behind a cardinal tractor for a garden behind your house. That is what I use it for.
