This is a great video! It's pretty obvious that you took inspiration from ymfah, not that that's a bad thing; it's a really entertaining video style and for your first time editing a video you did a good job! The map was a nice touch to add as well. A little bit of constructive criticism here though: the video's pacing is a tad slow throughout the video and really slow at the start, so I'm guessing you're already improving at that but it could do with being a little faster, a bit more variety in the music, including some meme tracks, such as some SilvaGunner stuff and possibly some memes sprinkled into the main video (e.g. 'Hey, you, you're finally awake after getting vengeful spirit). Saying all of this, I've never edited a video for CZcams myself, just 1 or 2 school projects quite a while back, so what do I know? Looking forward to seeing more content from you!

@@eratheoracle I agree. You wanna go the Ymfah route then you need fast choppy snappy edits. One point to next bam-bam-bam-bam, that way the meme music can keep changing from beat to beat and not become boring. Otherwise its nice to see other metroid-soulsborne-venia (I don't know how else to put this ok!) games given the Ymfah treatment!

Amazing video, super underrated. I just got some of the references in the video that I hadn't like 10 months ago. But the route you made is really hard to follow for, well, people who want to beat P5. I recommend routing it to get more Charms, Notches, Masks, Soul Vessels, and stuff. Also, am I allowed to make the easier route, showing off more exploits (but no major glitches), run it, and upload it? I will keep the ymfah thing "not something that's hard to do, but something that's hard to solve" (I've never watched ymfah somehow lol)
I just got the "necessary" stuff to get(like pure nail and the fragile strength and fotf combo) for the run and left the rest as this is supposed to be a "do it as fast as possible".
But if you want to make a route and video that takes more heath and soul upgrades there is nothing stopping you, I don't own the format.
@@manvslife271 those going for the achievement probably don't want to go as fast as possible. I'll make an easier one sometime when your next video of this genre comes out...which is very far away.

im pretty certain this is just ymfah in disguise. the music choice, the editing style, the fact that ymfah's new skyrim no walking video includes hollow knight art assets....... seems pretty clear to me
@@ouijaspit3236 like i said at the end of the video, the whole reason i made this was ymfah using hollow knight stuff on his videos while still not making a hollow knight video and just said "fuck it I'll do it myself". After having done it i understand why he didn't make one because it doesn't really fit his style of "not something that's hard to do, but something that's hard to solve" challenge runs. The best i could do was showing off the "fury + lifeblood" and "dream death not counting as real deaths" tricks but that's pretty much it for a game like hollow knight.

I do agree with you that this isn't ymfah's usual type of game and though you did an excellent job emulating his style, watching through most of the video i can see it doesn't have the same kind of presentation/formula as you said. Id totally be interested in your videos if you started making your own stuff. Though, thats completely up to you

@@jamian_eg0istique they *are* useful, but not needed. I tried to show the bare minimum to beat P5 in this video.
@@jamian_eg0istique Fighting absrad doesn't remove your Lifebloor, it simply heals you to full. Kinda like how sitting in hot springs heal you, but it does it instantly and doesn't give you soul.
