  • Lockout Tagout
    Our animation provides an example of how the Lockout Tagout procedure can prevent injury and be life-saving in the workplace.
    The procedure serves four very important purposes:
    - To protect the person working on the equipment;
    - To protect other workers in the area;
    - To protect the equipment; and
    - To serve as a communication device for all involved.
    LOTO Is Required When:
    - Servicing or maintaining energized equipment;
    - Safety guards are removed or bypassed; and
    - Worker has to place any part of his or her body in the equipment’s point of operation.

      No for real though that is the only appropriate thing in this scenario
      If you arent running the machine leave it alone its not your business

    I know 3 people count THREE. Because someone saw the lock out, decided to remove it anyway and turn it on. Resulting in said person being hurt.

      I hate that with all of my heart
      Bad shop ethics and lack of common sense = injury and usually no accountability for the pencil pusher who made it his business to turn the machine on

    If you’re walking around the shop floor with a coffee cup you shouldn’t be turning on random machines anyways.

    Thank you Sir/Madam for this video. Sir/Madam, would you give me permission to show this video to my office department I'm working for? I just want to share to increase my team's knowledge in HSE. Thank you very much

    This should not be funny, but it is. "Oh, I'll just turn on this random machine!" Zero situational awareness.

      It's weirdly common. Like some people just normally see the machine running so they think it's got to be that way if it isn't.
