You can save 6 hoppers if u use one hopper and place water at the far end so it flows to the hopper connecting to the chest
Great farm tho

I built this in a cave, and at first i was a bit confused on why I couldn't plant seeds, but turns out it's because the seeds require a certain light level. So if you're having this issue just place some torches/glowstone around
oh lol ty for the info i never knew that seed needed a certain light level LOL
ohh thanks
I have never seen an instance of plants actually needing light to be planted so I would've never known
😮😮😅😅qq

I am a complete redstone noob and I had zero problems following this. Thank you so much!
Yeah same
set all of the repeaters to 4 ticks. get rid of the bottom redstone torch and add another redstone dust up into the top torch and replace the button with a switch, and it should work, but you gotta use the lever 2 times to get water to go out and back into the dispensers. worked perfect for me after the fix.
Thank you so much for the info ☺️☺️☺️
I tried like the video and it didn't work. I tried twice and still failed. then i see this comment and it worked like magic. thanks
ps. you still can use the button just change the red dust trick
worked for me without doing any of that
thank you!!
thanks so much smash
Thank you for being so clear with your instructions! I built this farm up in the air and it works perfectly! All I have to do now is wait for the crops to grow :)
I’m so surprised that something from 2 years ago actually works I remember using this vid 2 years ago with my friends and this is just really simple and good to use
This is legit the build I’ve been using for years lol I just looked up auto farms and didn’t expect to see my exact setup.
TO ANYBODY HAVING ISSUES WITH THE TORCHES:
i had an issue where both my torches glowed and would cause the dispensers to spit out water, but not pick it up.
if you're having this issue, making sure to check the TOP TORCH and ensure that it's not on the side of the block, but on the TOP OF IT.
this was clearly stated in the video but i think the angle made it hard to tell and my brain decided that the torch was attached to the wall. i feel like a clown LOL
Cheers Jeff
Thank you so much this helped me alot
THANK YOU it was so annoying
tysm for this i didnt know what i was doing wrong lol
ty
I tried this on a smaller scale (two layers) and it worked, needed to shrink it down because I could only fit two in the amount I had, so I improvised with the redstone as well
Thank you soooooooo much
I have been looking for clear instructions for a farm like this for days and it works perfectly
❤❤❤❤❤
For anyone who wants to extend it just raise the redstone clock thing by one in a stair like pattern
First tutorial that ever worked for me. Many thanks
Just saying great video, but horrible explanation of the red stone repeaters. As soon as I place them, the water instantly went, and I can’t stop it unless I put a block in front of the dispensers.
1x GLASS block
3 stacks of chosen block
1 stack of chosen slab
2.5 stacks of grass/dirt
7 hoppers
2 chests
3 dispensers
33 redstone dust
any hoe (preferably women)
button
2x redstone repeater
at least 3 buckets of water
2 redstone torches
Thanks cause it took me like 2 mins trying to get it to pause for the .1 second he showed the whole screen😭
I'm new too minecraft redstone stuff and this really helped me. Thanks for the tutorial!
Wonderful build very similar one I just recently built can’t figure out what I did wrong swap the extractors for upside down pistons that carry the water
mine didnt work, i've place the redstone torches at the exact spot he mentioned however the water is dispensed but not picked up again. So the water is just running unless i replace the top torch.
nice and clear guide, very commendable!
I'm building a crop factory/Food factory so I really needed this thanks for the video

TY! very nice tutorial :)
epic gamer. just subscribed and liked , this is going to my saved videos so i could make this farm agine in my other worlds. thanks bro!
That would be more efficient with only 1 hopper. Put the hopper into the chest, and put water at the opposite end to wash the crops to the hopper. I did it this way on several old worlds. CUrrently looking to automate with a villager, so I'll keep looking. Great no-villager design though. If you have an item with an enchantment, you can greatly increase your crop yield.
Thank you, now we will have so much food in hardcore
Very nice editing!! Great video!
Mine doesn’t work
@@beaureves5825 its a bot
for anyone having trouble with dispensers not dispensing water...remove the lower redstone torch and place a redstone on the staircase block...hope it will work!
What a video best vid ever hella easy to follow thank you cuh
Thank you I made it in my survival world and it fitted really well with my farm
As a veteran minecraft hardcore player, I don't suggest to use this. You can make this farm fully automatic with villagers that are moved to their positions via rail systems. Otherwise, you have to plant them one by one, which therefore doesn't make any sense, you can harvest them using fortune hoe instead to get better results
As a veteran that also plays, play how ever you want. You don't need to rush villagers to farm, also fortune only effects potatoes and carrots, if you use it on wheat or beetroot it'll only give extra seeds, unless you want extra seeds?
If anyone is having trouble with the redstone torches, just remove the bottom redstone torch and only add one torch on top of the block. Because after i did that, the farm worked.
I did it but it won’t pick it up
I tired this and the water never went back in. Can someone help me nothing is working?
@@nova_zf3854 make sure your repeaters are facing the right way

That awkward moment when it would be easier to just harvest your crops manually than to gather all the materials to build this entire set-up. Especially when you have to plant the seeds manually either way. Still cool that you can make something like this though.
longterm use
Thanks I didn’t know how to do that 😊😊
Thanks for the tutorial!
It's been a year, but the tutorial still holds up! Good stuff and props to you for keeping it short yet understandable with all the items listed for that farm.

Dude that next update with the auto-crafter is going to make this so much more effective!.
Thanks for making this video, I’ve been having a lot of water leaks in my previous auto farm builds😅
This doesn't work anymore.

This was great, thankyou!
That is great , just made it , awesome , thanks , we had to make sure our Redstone repeaters were turned the right way , at first we had them backwards , but after we fixed them , worked perfect , thanks again
This was great tutorial, quick, efficient and straight to the point.
It worked good for me. Thanks!
Finally a tutorial that doesn’t sound like someone with Parkinson’s giving a Ted talk despite the fact that he is Australian
Came here from a loud Irishman who butchered your farm design. I just wanted to share my appreciation for how detailed this tutorial is. People often forget that new Minecraft players are joining all the time.
too early in the game for villagers but but too late in the game for feeding off random animals. Thanks for that in between auto harvester! I recommend actually using carrots instead of wheat for food so you can make golden carrots with gold nuggets! You can also do baked potatoes!
Golden carrots and baked potatoes is just a waste of resources you don’t need, wheat is better because you can lure 2 cows and use wheat to make them make a kid and once there is enough cows you can kill them because steak or any type of meat that’s cooked is better than those
@@mkeefe4248 hmm that is better earlier on for sure. I just like golden carrots since you get so much gold when mining netherite and baked potatoes for xp.
@Mkeefe you can also use a lead to lure those baby cows into an auto farm for cows.. so then you'd have all the wheat you could need for infinite steaks and villager trades, plus you can then use the seeds for composters
Thank you very much! That's a very simple farm.
This is much better. I found another video that's just obviously following yours, and it was terrible! Thank you for making good ones!
thank you, this was very helpful.

This is actually a helpful tutorial, I like this because he was formal.
Do u know what the redstone repeaters do
keep the signal going, so it doesn't stop working
thank youu so much, I made this for a potato farm since I was breeding villagers and running out of food at the same time, I used trapdoors instead of dispensers and redstone at the top of blocks instead of messing around at the bottom
List of materials I needed -
12 trapdoors
3 stacks stone
37 redstone
2 repeaters
10 water sources
11 hoppers
2 chests
Thats itt
Can you make a tutorial please?
In the place ''instead of droppers and Redstone'' you can write dispensers because dropper will drop the water bucket out instead of just flowing it out
@@musarratjahan2536 right, appreciate it
ty, im using this for a modded plant, and it really helps!
what modded plant
thanks dude that helped a lot
I used this in my hardcore world when I barely had any food I almost died so thank you very helpful
Dude Tysm I Been Trying To Find A Automatic farm and this is the only one I found without villagers W dude
Does anyone have a good way to replant the seeds without breaking the farmland? would really need it thanks
should have explained need to "Sneak" to place hopper in the chest.
Legend! It's the only part I've had trouble with lol
Nice video man and nice auto farm good job 👍
Cool background music, and nice edits!
I had problems with this and I figured out why. Before you understand what the problem is you have to know how this is supposed to work. The button is supposed to trigger the dispensers and to do that it need to be hooked up to red stone to carry the signal to the back. Redstone travels 7-8 blocks and then after that you need a repeater that carries the signal an additional 7-8.
When placing the repeater the side that is facing you is the input side and thats where the redstone path should be leading into. So if you are facing the hoppers when placing the repeaters you are doing it wrong. You need to be almost parallel to the block it goes on and facing the dispensers in the back.
To test that the signal is being received place a button right before the first repeater close to the hopper on one of the grass blocks and press it. It should light up if you did it right. Now put the button before the second repeater and repeat the process. If everything lights up then the button in the front of the build should work now. Also make sure you are placing the bottom redstone torch on the face of the bottom block.
I have no idea if anyone is going to read that😅
im still having so much trouble w the button not working and i do not understand why
Omgggg thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
Ive no idea what ive done wrong its not working for me at all
Thanks so much I was struggling just now I thought I made a building mistake u explained what was wrong in a understandable way been grinding a new world for a while this farm will really help me your comment should be pinned maybe this is the problem some people are having
Awesome walkthrough man you got yourself another sub! I ended up expanding and making it 5 layers and made it 13 wide instead of 7 and just water logged a slab in the center of each layer so all the soil stayed moist. (Bedrock 1.19 Nintendo Switch)
Hey could you help me? I'm strugling with the redstone part, what do I need to do if I expand the farm?

Are you in java?
@@thunayan6533 no, why?
You can also expand it one on either side then use a water bucket and 1hopper
This has to be the best guide it explains everything well so you could understand and not have rewind the video great video 👏
I'm towards the end could anyone help me with the Redstone dust and repeaters? He doesn't say where to place it exactly
little tip for those without much resources:
you actually only need 2 repeaters. craft a lever and mess around with repeater placements and you will find only 2 are needed
He said 2 repeaters...
@@dripdrop811 lol yeah idk what he was talking abt
You can just use waterlogged leaves and skip the whole water funnel part, and you can make the redstone circuit outside the farm, connecting to the dispensers.
for what are these water tunnels at the side?

Thank you very much!
Okay so whenever I place the redstone torch under The dispenser it just stays on and does not turn off I checked all the repeaters I have went through your video at least 50 times now I do not know what to do
Okay never mind got it to work I kept on putting it on the wall not on top of the grass block
For anyone wondering, the dimensions of the farm are 25 x 11 blocks. I don't think it's mentioned in the video, or I missed it.

Thank you so much,a great new addition to my world,I just subbed to you,I hope you read this, goodbye
I really don't understand this.
1. On mine the water can't reach far enough with 7 blocks of dirt to fall into the next batch
2. As soon as I place the redstone torch below the piston it just fires and water won't stop pouring out. Button used or not.
same issue
I had the same problem, but finally got it working correctly. Do everything he did in the video exactly, but before turning button on, make sure both redstone repeaters levers are cranked all the way. Then it should work like a dream
I’ve followed everything to the video, as soon as I place the torch the dispenser dispenses the water. I’ve definitely used dispensers and I don’t know what I’ve done wrong. Does it matter if it’s bedrock or Java?
It should work on both versions, maybe make sure you've got some repeaters in the redstone line
This is what worked for me.
Make a path of Redstone from switch to the end. Don't use torches, just a path. Use a couple of repeaters in between, depending on path you may need more repeaters.
