Would you be willing to help me out to develop a wing? I have followed the original wing tutorial and developed my wing design. Honestly, not sure how to proceed from here. I imported the WingHelper DFX into Fusion 360 and am kind of at a stand still.
@@kerrycorcoran4885 I'm not sure whom you were asking, me or Wayne. If you were asking me: I'm a good developer, but not much of a model builder. :) Still, if you have concrete questions, let me know, and maybe I can help! Basically, in Fusion you want to prepare your ribs for cutting (laying out, maybe doing some manual modifications if necessary), then print them as templates, use these templates to cut out the ribs from Balsa, and glue them all together. If you have never done it before, I suggest you look for videos on CZcams, to learn about different glues, how to cut balsa (grain orientation!), how to lay out all the wing elements on the plan and how to put it all together. There are really nice videos available - I suggest for example "Joyplanes RC", he has some great videos showing how he builds the wings. There is also, thanks to Wayne, a new unofficial discussion forum for Wing Helper, you can find it here: forum.alofthobbies.com/index.php?forums/wing-helper-support-forum.29/
Howdy Sir Clive! Captain Canardly again! I'm quite upset with myself, and my forgetting about you fellows! WOW! This has been the best 1.5 hours I've ever spent searching for Aero CAD programs! I think it was before my heart attack that I last communicated with you, and I have 3 months of work with ( my place) TurboCAD Mac, which I bet with your work, I can do 60 hours in 2 hours! Great job! Obviously I would be spending my $ with you instead of 1K$ somewhere else! Johnny
Hello John, thank you for the kind words, I am very happy to hear that you like Wing Helper! :) I'm still working on the Video Tutorial for 1.5.0 (trying to reduce it in the length, without much success :) ), but this one (1.4.0) is also showing the most important things to know about the program.
I like this software !! This is the one I was looking for. Does it have auto laying function for exporting ribs? I want to minimize wasted wood in laser cutting. If not, would you consider in the next version? Thanks.
Hello, sorry for the late reply, I missed this message. Automatic lay outing is unfortunately not on the roadmap - it's a rather complex topic where a human eye will always achieve better results than what a computer can.
@@winghelper I’m fascinated again in the field of fixed wings again and this is the best software I found. So wonderful.. Thank you for the developers! By the way, please keep supporting MacOS version !
hey, guys, I'm exporting the model for ICE foam cutter. You are missing the wire length parameter so it will not work for both portal and winch cutters. Pls update or let me know how to set it up. Problem - cutter makes incorrect sweep.
Hello! You can enter all machine-related parameters, such as the wire length you mention, directly in the program ICE. That was one of the reasons why we chose ICE for the first step in the direction of G-Code export: it brings a lot of functionality with it, which otherwise would need to be implemented directly in the Wing Helper. In the next version, we are looking into extending the support for G-Code export and also to introduce support for specifying machine-related parameter.
Update to my previous reply (posted as Alex Pozgaj): I know that the author of ICE is also working on the import function to support the Wing Helper generated NC code directly, so the integration will become even better in future.
Hello Yusuf, I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean. Can you please contact me at support@winghelper.com with some details, maybe also with a WHF file showing the issue? Mail offers a wider range of discussion options than this YT comment section.
@@winghelper ok.i actually want to creat a swept wing without appearing as a perspective. I didn't choose the option of perspective in the option but the wing still comes out as perspective.
Love it! We have been making a few new wings with it already. Keep up the great work!
Thank you Wayne - I'm happy to hear you like Wing Helper!

Is it a one off payment or is it an annual renewal?
It's one time payment - for life.

Hmmmm.... USD 80 , any discount~?🤥🤔
It's USD 70 now - the dollar went up compared to my base currency (Euro), so that's how it works out. ;)
