- Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell is a third-person stealth video game developed and published by Ubisoft, originally released in November 2002. The story is set in the year 2004, and focuses on Sam Fisher, a covert ops veteran recruited to spearhead the newly-activated Splinter Cell Program, which is part of Third Echelon, a top-secret initiative within the National Security Agency (NSA). Third Echelon uses "Splinter Cells", lone operatives working in the field with high-tech support, to conduct covert intelligence-gathering missions in hostile territory.

This is still surprisingly as good as when it was released. The shadows bring it to life.
The whole experience is a 9/10 for those that love a quiet and slow paced classic. Most importantly, it's fun.
Can't say the same for the cutscenes, but it's all good.

Played the hell out of this game on the original XBOX 20 years ago. The cut scenes show its age but the graphics on steam's version are just as I remembered. A great game to play on a stormy night.

I played this game as a kid, a great core memory. I remember shooting all the lights possible for extra stealth.
This has to be one of the best games ever made, I spent hours and hours playing this on the original Xbox, I can’t wait for the remaster

Wow this is a proper video game, high levels of interaction and freedom, intelligent AI, challenging gameplay that makes you think, react and consider your options, no dottedlines, minimaps or arrows pointing the way. Wowowow i must play this

Thanks for the video! I tried playing it, up to the oil rig mission, but even with all the fixes, the game constantly froze, so this was the only way to experience it for me.

I was trying to understand how the heck do you kill these guys without them turning around because going too slowly means you can't catch up and anything faster than that and they will turn around... and I looked here to figure it out, and DUH, it all makes sense... just don't kill them... in real life or in movies, half the time, characters just avoid them, but I felt the need to kill every single person in the game quietly lolol either way, nice walkthrough!!! Liked and subbed!

how do you get the game to show up properly? what streaming/recording program do you use? in obs for me it throws the game to the side and the cutscene are only in the corner of my obs preview. none of the links for the fixes have worked for me
Use dgVoodoo and OBS will detect it fine through DirectX 11

Tried to replay the game on a 360 it kept glitching' most anoying thing was alarms going off for no reason ending the level' & the somking dude never came out of the room for a smoke' i gave up .....

Man. Splinter Cell 1 looked much cooler than Chaos Theory. The crouching animation was better. Even though I like in Chaos Theoory, how Sam crouches when he is close to the enemy. And sam fischer having a knife was cool. Everything else felt kinda lame. I will keep on saying that Chaos Theory feels more like a Microsoft Word Application than an actual game. Splinter Cell Doube Agent for PS2 brought back the Chaos Theory style but actually made it fun.

Splinter Cell has steep learning curve. Stay in the shadows, be patient and you will make it through. The shadows are your best friend.
