Mission 1: Safehouse
Difficulty: Realistic (w/ M&E)
So, I've seen Assault style gameplay videos before. However, I don't think I've ever seen a stylish one, other than the John Wick-inspired videos-so much so, that I named my loadout as such. Normally, the videos are played like a typical shooter, in that they let Sam tank way too many bullets. So, let me present to you a smooth(-ish) presentation of how you (probably) should play the Assault style.
Slightly inspired by the works of StealthGamerBR™, though it's not as smooth nor is it as weapon variety-centric as his. - Hry

EDIT DISCLAIMER: This is NOT A TUTORIAL on how to do the Assault Style. This is just a showcase of what an Assault run can look like; much like videos about doing perfect Ghost runs or "stealth kills" videos by StealthGamerBR or Swiftly Unknown. You are not meant to copy this exactly (I mean, you can. It'll just be more fun to figure out your own paths) so you can achieve an Assault Mastery. And if you want to do a similar style, you HAVE to sink in hours and hours of playtime knowing the specific mechanics of this game. This style is IMPOSSIBLE for first-time players... as are the other styles, anyway.
Excuse Me! But splinter cell blacklist is meant to be played the way I WANT to play it! NOT by some 'forced' recommendation! If I want to gun down enemies with an assault rifle, I CAN! Assault, panther and ghost do NOT exist for nothing!

People usually take for granted how good this game was, not only for the stealth but also the combat and weapon customization. The only weak aspect of this game is the story, and it was NOT bad. Great gameplay my dude.

This wasn't a good splinter cell game.
It was a good game and it's one of my personal favorites of the Splinter Cell series. But people have very valid criticisms, being that it wasn't a good SC game

I absolutely love this idea. Legendary super spy Sam fisher decides to ruthless. I can’t imagine hearing gun fights slowly getting closer and closer, knowing it’s only one man

I think this is the smoothest loud gameplay I've ever seen for Splinter Cell. Props to the smart explosive placement and exploiting the last known location

This game is brutal in terms of kills, I'm just starting it but it kind of encourages you to play fast, the controls are very fluid, but there's a lot to master. Great video.
My first playthroughs of this game is pure stealth without leaving any trace. Then, on replays, I did stylish stealth, something similar to StealthGamerBR. The M&E system is one of the best things they added to the series and I hope the SC remake will keep it.
True. You need to have a good sense of level layout if you want to play this game fluidly in Assault mode.
It's definitely meant for people who have played through the game more than a few times already.
@@CrossfeetGaming God no. Mark and Execute is the worst thing to have been added to Splinter Cell. It adds nothing of substance to the game, it just looks flashy. SC needs to go back to being a methodical tactical stealth game instead of a generic action stealth hybrid. Blacklist doesn't really offer anything that any other modern action game offers.

When will we ever see the sequel of this masterpiece.. Loved the splintercell series.. Played the first 1 & amazed how they nailed the stealth genre..

I regret not doing this for the rest of the series. I was chasing after a schedule and I told myself I'll just add them in after I finish all the missions. By the time I finished, I had forgotten nearly all of my thought process in the videos; I don't even remember where I put the splices in.

I absolutely loved the multiplayer in this game both sides were equally balanced and absolute fun to play. I just wish they'd give us another already
It's a shame there's basically no one playing anymore, quite a few years ago this game was already low in player counts, I remember playing against the same people dozens of times, I loved the multiplayer and building the fastest merc that ever zoomed. Those were the good old days
But now sadly u cant play online anymore, I always wanted to buy but never did and now ill never experience online

People wonder why Sam went from the end of this game to team rainbow but it's stuff like this that make the transition seamless.
I mean he works for the NSA, right? 4th Echelon? I'm assuming it aligns perfectly with Rainbow's anti- domestic terrorism focus.

the timing and hidden badass of sam saying "nice work" at his handler detailing a stealth approach and then instantly dropping unsuppressed shots is unreal

The perfectly timed walking made it so much more badass. I agree this is how the assault play style should be. I understand the suit is for footsteps, but I think it should've at least been khaki because all black isn't actually helpful in real life. Unless you're going for intimidation.
Blacklist is a brilliant gem of a game. The gameplay is divine. My personal favorite Splinter Cell entry.

Yeah, I agree! Chaos Theory was almost perfect in every regard. My favourite story out of all of them. If they ever remade it, all they'd need to change for my taste is a bit of mobility/omitted moves and more accurate aimed shots with the pistol. Just made Sam look like a bad pistol marksman :D Also, no Michael Ironside, no Splinter Cell. Or at least no Sam Fisher. If they ever reboot and don't get Ironside then let's just play as another Splinter Cell agent, no harm in passing the torch.
@@CalamityCain The pistol mechanics are probably just for gameplay enhancements; you're a stealth agent who's supposed to make as little noise as possible, it makes no sense to make you a killing machine.
@@megafan523 No, no, no, I don't want to be able to be a killing machine. That's exactly why I didn't like the last two Splinter Cell games. I love Thief, because fighting more than one enemy who noticed you at the same time is so damn hard. Garrett is only euqipped with a shortbow and a dagger after all. I love sticking to the shadows, don't get me wrong. What I don't like is how enemies notice me when I play perfectly stealthy but deadly at the same time. When Sam sits there in the shadows, observing his enemy, lining up the perfect shot yet still missing his target by five inches, now that's just plain lame. If I did want to be a killing machine, I'd equip the foregrip attachment and, later in the game, shotgun and sniper modules. The game just chose to make the pistol suck for no real reason imho. It's a minor gripe, really, you don't have to agree. I still think it's a 10/10 near perfect stealth game 😉
@@CalamityCain Okay, that makes a lot more sense; I definitely agree with you there, missing your shot by a few pixels definitely gets really annoying, especially when you have to do it quickly. And it's bad even if you aren't aiming to kill, you still need the pistol to turn off the lasers etc, and I can definitely vouch about how annoying accuracy gets then.
This is one game it's actually cool to watch several times from several players. Love this game, man. Thanks for the upload!

Awesome stuff to see Blacklist gameplay. Much better when seeing the Assault side of it, something not seen much or at least not used unless you make a really dumb mistake in getting caught and all.
What's even cooler is seeing what actually happens if you actually get detected while extracting Kobin. That was a cool touch in showing how much of a single mess up you have to clear up before finally clearing the mission xD

Great gameplay, reminded me just how much I miss Splinter Cell. Whether it be this style or more "traditional" Chaos Theory like gameplay, I need this series to come back.

Great assault style! This game aged well. I loved it almost as much as Chaos Theory, especially the multiplayer. (I do miss Sam's original voice though.) I'm still holding out hope for the sequel ):

Brings me back to 2013. Thank you for the video! Your gameplay is smooth af. I remember I was trying to do panther runs on this level and try to get as many execute like the one at 1:49 as possible. All the dialogues are super nostalgic to me too.
I dunno what happened to games. This generation should have lasted much longer and we should have never gotten to the point where pixel count and texture quality mattered more then gameplay.

That was hot shit, incredible run on that mission. Apparently the Super Soldier program was a success. Sam Fisher is the real Captain America or the real Dark Knight. I've never played this one but I really should. I can't believe that anyone could actually move like that. Sam has no lungs, soooo no cardio issues. He's never out of breath. He's got the G.I. Joe Kung Fu Grip & never falls. Like a terminator. YOU CAN'T STOP HIM ! An espionage juggernaut.

Miss the splinter cells man! Switched to PlayStation years ago and currently there’s no way of getting splinter cell for ps4. Ghost Recon Breakpoint half scratches the itch. Wouldn’t mind playing them again because when I did I was so young I honestly had no bloody clue what was going on 😂

I don't understand why Ubisoft didn't migrate the technique of marking and killing to Assasin Creed, with knives it would have looked great, the parkour of this game is 10 times better than the most recent assassin creed games, it's crazy
