    Bacon Cheese Burger with Coriander Pickled Red Onions & Smoky Mayo
    Recipe by Chef Nathan Lippy
    Time: 15 minutes
    Servings: 4
    Ingredients:
    1 ½ pounds 80/20 ground beef
    8 pieces thick cut applewood smoked bacon
    1 large red onion, thinly sliced
    1/3 cup red wine vinegar
    1 tablespoon ground coriander
    ¼ cup mayonnaise
    ¼ cup sour cream
    1 tablespoon smoked paprika
    1 teaspoon ground chipotle
    The juice of 1 lime
    1 cup shredded lettuce
    4 slices cheddar cheese
    4 seeded hamburger buns
    Salt and pepper
    Olive oil
    Directions:
    1. In a small mixing bowl, add the onions, red wine vinegar a little drizzle of olive oil, ground coriander and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix evenly and set aside to marinate for later.
    2. Heat your griddle to medium heat and cook the bacon well done and crisp. Once its finished, drain on some paper towel.
    3. Form the ground beef into 4 equal patties and season both sides with salt & pepper. Cook in the bacon fate for 3-4 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
    4. In a small mixing bowl, add the mayo and sour cream with the smoked paprika, chipotle, lime juice and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix to evenly incorporate.
    5. Slice the bacon to fit on top of the burger. Once the burgers are finished, add a few pieces of bacon and then top with a slice of cheese. Cover with a dome to melt.
    6. Lightly toast the buns and add some of the sauce to the bottom bun.
    7. Add some lettuce to the bottom bun and then the burger, add some of the pickled onions over the top and then the top bun. Serve hot.

    I just made it for dinner and wow my husband said that was the best burger he's had for a long time, and yes he's right is was Great, I'm new to your channel, and I'm so glad I found it, so far I've watched maybe hafe of your shows and I love it, Thank you, your both fun to watch. oh and ps please stop moving the camera so much, cuz I'm getting sea sick..lol.

    You got a like and sub for the simple fact of the lettuce lesson. I get so upset when restaurants put a leaf of lettuce on a burger. I love lettuce but will take it off if it has that vein in it. It’s not tasty nor cool.

    I've tried that bacon under the cheese trick before, didn't work for me, the whole thing just slides off since the cheese isn't melted to the burger Pattie itself.

      Yes less talking more cooking. Your videos are set up for people working Monday and have nothing else to do while they’re at their desk. Some of us value our time. I do love watching the Blackstone videos I’ve learned a lot but just stick to the cooking.

    I really enjoyed the video and the horseplay between these 2 guys; the movie clips are GREAT too! .... BUT...!!!
    Coriander is NOT the seed of the CILANTRO plant! It is the seed of the CORIANDER PLANT!
    ONLY IN THE USA do people ERRONEOUSLY refer to the Coriander plant (scientific name: "Coriandrum Sativum") as the Cilantro plant!!! The mistake came about because people in America mistook it for the plant "Culantro" (pronounced "soolantro") or "Mexican coriander".
    (No need to thank me - I dispense useless information for free! :-))
