Just found this. I am absolutely horrified! What an explicit example of disrespect to a learned scholar. Blatant silencing attempts by dumb and dumber. The first interviewer clearly had no intention of listening to anything other than his own voice. What would the correct response have been in your eyes? Clearly there had to be a response from Israel and it was always going to be severe, as much as I never want to see a single innocent person die on any side of a conflict. His "style", for want of a better word, has always been that of a bully. Whale always takes the safe, populist side, which is always the least pleasant, and then just browbeats the guest with his views, never letting them answer a question lest it undermines his stance. It's basically a TV version of the beginning bit of a bullfight where the yobs get to stab the bull with lances from behind the safety of a pen before the main event.
Whales is at the lower end of mob entertainment. Sadly the days of proper unbiased news, interviewing, and reporting are long gone. Even the BBC reports are subtly worded in favour of the perceived narrative. We're deliberately kept ignorant of world events by these clowns.

One of the hostages held in Gaza is such a volunteer.

This kind of interviews are very short. There is no time for same stories what we already know. There is question, answer it with few sentences without long preambles. It’s not really difficult if you have your own point of view.

You need to let her speak and stop interrupting her. I wanted to hear her speak and try to justify what’s happened and you wouldn’t stop interrupting her.
If you wanted a complete history you'd have to go back to the days of the Romans when they renamed Judea as Palestine precisely to take away the identity of the jews.
Then move forwards to the early 20th century when there were mainly jews in what is now Israel/Palestine and the British imported middle-eastern moslems to work in their oil export businesses.
Then the end of WW2 and the British relinquishing their colony and in an act of fairness divided it between the then main inhabitants (jews and moslems) into what became Israel and Palestine.
From there on... it's been a matter of Palestinians trying to invade Israel and getting beaten, until they became occupied. And they kept at it until today, triggering the need for walls and other defenses, plus retaliatory strikes. Always Palestinians blamed it on a terror group or another, never trying to eliminate those terror groups themselves.
Time and again Israel tried to find a peaceful solution and give Palestine an independent state and every time they were close the Palestinians would back out or have their pet terrorists launch an assault to derail the negotiations. The best deal they had was the one that Arafat turned down, and since then their options have been gradually shrinking.
Frankly, it is no surprise that the Israelis no longer trust them and have zero interest in a negotiated solution... as the Palestinians never once kept their word.
And now that the Palestinians face the end of their pet terrorists for good, they panic and make all kinds of "human rights" claims that have little credibility since the only numbers and reporting comes from the terrorists and their supporters.
We used to fall for their sad stories but we are now fully aware that they are nothing but disinformation campaigns spready by monsters that on Oct 7 were even dancing on the streets and passing candy while their pet terrorists slaughtered thousands of men, women and children and committed horrible atrocities.
They behaved so bad and gave themselves such a terrible reputation that NONE of their moslem "brothers" is willing to grant any of them asylum, not even women and children.

I am utterly appalled at the way this interview was conducted. The interviewer purported to ask questions with a pro-Israel bias including having a pro-Israeli guest who intermittently was badgering the guest. She was asked questions and then repeatedly interrupted by the interviewer who prevented her from answering the question as she wished and was entitled to. I have never seen such a biased and disrespectful interview, what a shame. Is this how low journalism has got to. Not interested in the relevant history to the war whilst plugging what the Jewish guest had said previously.Truly appalled.
I feel the same way, first these two gentlemen are so unprofessional and disrespectful to this lovely lady. They are practically on top of each other, were they sitting on the same chair. They ask questions and put words into the guest answer. they are both discussing.

Many other experts have agreed, and even suggested that Churchill himself could have been put on trial. German historian Jörg Friedrich, author of a book about the Allied bombings of German cities, went as far as saying ‘Churchill was the greatest child-slaughterer of all time.’
Prisoner of war Victor Gregg was waiting to be shot dead when British bombs dropped on February 13th 1945 in Dresden.
Instead, he stayed alive to witness the full horrors of the Allied-ordered napalm attack which roasted to death 25,000 in the German city.
At 99, the former British soldier can still see the Dresden sky filled with floating women and children pulled up into the air by a typhoon of flames.
He told ITV News that he can still smell the “rotting flesh” in the rubble and recall the young bodies of children burned into "gooey mess of jelly" by the 1,500C heat of the bombing attack.

He maintains the mass killing of women, children and the elderly in Dresden, signed off by the British Prime Minister to pummel the Germans into surrender, was nothing like the Blitz that struck his home city of London.

Although I am totally against what happened on the 7th of October, Nor against Israel's retaliation. James Whale was completely out of order with this woman. He did not, 'Take her down' he bullied her and then ended the interview when she was trying to answer the question he asked. She had already said she didn't support the Hamas attrocities.
