Assynt, Sutherland, north west Scotland

Reached from the NC500 north of Ullapool is the region of Assynt, with spectacular mountains rising from the 'cnoc and lochan' landscape. We briefly stop at Strathcanaird, Knockan, Ardvreck Castle. and Lochinver, before reaching Clachtoll Bay with its ruined broch.

We holiday for 2wks every year to lochinver, Achmelvich beach and Clachtoll are fab beaches. Been coming here since I was little. Pure magic!!
